This Total Wine sits at the back of the large center that is Brentwood Place on Franklin Road…read more I have always been a fan of Total Wine, as they carry a lot of the specialty stuff that you just can't find at the more local shops. In some cases the prices are better, but not always. When I swing by, it is normally for a specialty item and this last trip was just that. And while I was on a mission, it always turns into "well, I am already here..." type of trip, so I walk out with a few classic items as well. The store is well laid out, clean and always well stocked. In addition to the booze, they offer classes, have classrooms, a beer cooler, humidor and a few other things to offer. Service is where they lost a star for me. I will say that the cashiers are always friendly and helpful, but the service I receive on the floor is never great. They always tend to have an attitude, like I am bothering them. This latest trip was no different. I asked two associates while wandering around the store and neither were very pleasant interactions. Very weird for the brand, but at least at this location, it is fairly common from my experience. It is never enough to be labeled as "bad" or "awful", but it is quite off-putting. Overall, this Total Wine location comes in clutch when needed, and it will remain a go-to for the goods, specialty or not.

I slept so well that night and needed to buy some of these drinks! I drove all over town even in some smoke shops and liquor stores and no one could get it for me. I randomly stopped in here and explained my dilemma! They said they would order for me but I didn't hold my breath. To my surprise I got a call saying my order was ready! Amazing! They already sold out again when I bought the last four pack. A couple days later ANOTHER TEXT FROM THEM SAYING ITS READY! The shop is clean, the employees are super friendly, and I love the tasting section for events they have! HIGHLY RECOMMEND - above and beyond!

I stopped in before a show at the Franklin Theatre across the street (pro tip: if you're headed that way, this is the perfect spot to kick off your night!). I had no clue what to order, so I asked our server for help. She immediately recommended their famous espresso martini. I hesitated because I'm not a fan of olive martinis, but she promised this was completely different and handed me the flavor menu. I went with the Lamplight, caramel option--and BAM! Honestly, it might be the best drink I've ever had. New favorite, locked in! I'll definitely be ordering espresso martinis wherever I see them on the menu now, but if I want a guaranteed winner every time, I know exactly where I'm coming back to. Highly recommend!
