We stopped by here for a quick tasting. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to do the tour. The place was pretty good and quite empty. If you are not in the mood of experiencing the touristy Jack Daniel's experience, this is a good alternative with fewer crowds. The tasting is inside the gift shop/visitor center area. The whiskey selection was good. They also have free postcards, which you can mail to yourself or friends, which seemed pretty cute.

It was a stop on the whiskey trail that I was on. The staff were friendly and inviting. We opted for the tasting and it was 30 a piece. You get 6 tasting and a description of each. I will say the tasting is on the more pricer side compared to other distilleries on the trail. The distillery is nice and have plenty of seating outside and in. It was a nice stop to get stamped on the trail. I would recommend for the experience.

Great "little" distillery, the setting in the hollow is beautiful. The tour was fun and very informative, our guide Jay did an awesome job and was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Loved the atmosphere of the tasting room, very warm and relaxing. The flights were an interesting tasting of 4 different whiskeys, you can purchase additional whiskeys for tasting also. I highly recommend paying a visit to this great little gem.

Had the chance recently to visit and tour Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. (a.k.a. George Dickel). This place is tucked away near Tullahoma, TN and is an easy drive from Nashville. If you like Tennessee whiskey or are just interested in the distillation process and history, then this short tour is worth the trip. We visited on a Saturday afternoon, and it was not crowded at all. The tour group we were placed in had maybe 10 people total. We did the basic tasting tour, which included a tour of the distillery and tastings of 4 George Dickel products. Our tour guide, Larry (I think), was great! He was very knowledgeable and funny. He certainly kept us entertained on the tour. It was approximately 1 hour for the tour and tasting. There is a nice gift shop and bottle shop as well. Here you can find souvenirs such as shirts, hats and a variety of glasses. The bottle shop also has some items you can't find in your local liquor stores. Overall this was a very nice trip. It's a short drive from Nashville or Chattanooga. Easy to find and very informative. My goal is to visit every distillery on the Tennessee Whiskey Trail, and I certainly recommend this stop for any whiskey enthusiast.

The tasting room, where you can sample and compare the different subtleties.

George Dickel is distilled in the hills of Tennessee; located in Cascade Hollow. It is truly a smooth, sipping whiskey with a charcoal filtered taste. I had the opportunity of touring their distillery on Saturday and the tour was excellent. I highly recommend it for traveler's passing through the State of Tennessee. We also got a 'Tasting Selection' included in our tour. They have a gift shop and 'souvenir bottle' shop on site. Follow me on Yelp for more unique places to see in Tennessee.

Excellent tour! I really enjoyed this tour. We say everything from start up until bottling (that's done offsite). I liked seeing the fermenting process in the open vats. That was the first time I've seen that. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and it was nice hearing the history of Cascade Hollow distillery and how it became Dickel. The tasting was really good. I am not a rye whiskey fan but their rye was pretty good! We ended up taking home a bottle of their Bottled in Bond #3.

As part of the whiskey trail, stopped here to check out George Dickel spirits. This is absolutely worth the stop. It's small, but good enough for a gift shop. A large variety of souvenir options. I did the tasting and all four were really good. The two staff members that we interacted with were both extremely friendly and knowledgeable. This is a great stop to have a drink, sit back and relax for a few! Beautiful country side too.

    Need to restock soon.

Probably the best American made whisky ever. There are others brands with fancier bottles, or edgier names that cost 4 times as much out there...... but none come close to what George Dickel produces. When you're ready for the best, give Dickel a try. I promise, after you do, your whiskey selection will never be the same without it. Whenever I go to an event, I will take a bottle of George Dickel as a "gift" so I don't have to drink whatever they are serving for free. It may be harder to find then the run-of-the-mill whiskeys out there, simply ask you local liquor store to start carrying it. Once people realize how incredible it is, they'll won't be able to keep it in stock (that's the problem I have).

Wifey and I on a recent getaway to Nashville spent some time here at George Dickel's. Whiskey on the Lawn. One of the highlights of our trip...and we visited a lot of places while in the Ville. We got the lowdown on the history of the grounds and distillery from our very personable guide. Then, it was off to the Adirondack chairs on the lawn for the tasting. Wifey and I also opted for the charcuterie to munch on. It was excellent. The samples of whiskey were very good. I actually prefer Dickel's to JD. We did the JD tour a few days prior. I'd rate this better. Awesome setting. Relaxing. Plus, you're sippin' whiskey. C'mon. About an hour and 15 from Downtown Nashville. Give it a shot. Gift shop and bottle shop on site.

Nice grounds, but the service was definitely lacking, and the drinks were just okay. The postcards were a nice touch.

If you have some time, seriously consider the Day at Jack tour. An all-day, immersive experience…read moreinto the town of Lynchburg, its history and, of course, an in-depth look at the operation of the Jack Daniel's distillery. My wife and I just finished this tour and would recommend it without hesitation. Our day started at 10:35, when we met our tour guide, Justin, and the small group we'd be spending the day with. After a brief introduction and a quick photo, we boarded a shuttle bus and got a quick look at some historical Lynchburg landmarks. Then we enjoyed lunch at Miss Mary Bobo's Restaurant. It was family-style, southern fare, and simply outstanding. We walked through town to the distillery and enjoyed a fun, fascinating, super informative tour of how Jack is made, stored, bottled, the whole thing. This tour is the one opportunity for visitors to see the inside of one of the barrel storage facilities. The day ended with a tasting session, where we explored some of the finer points of a selection of Jack Daniel's whiskeys and their individual qualities and personalities. Plus everyone received a gift bag with a framed version of the photo taken earlier in the day, some chocolates, and a bottle of Miss Mary Bobo's Hot Sauce (which I had earlier on fried Okra and it was tremendous!). It was nearly 4 p.m. by the time we were done. So I meant when I said "if you have some time." And it costs a little more. But worth every penny and every minute of time. Extra shoutout to Justin who was knowledgeable and engaging and an all around good dude.

They do offer a tour and tasting and tell you to plan around 1-1/2 hours totally. They start on the hour and we arrived to late to join a tour and due to time constraints could not wait until the next one. Luckily we were still able to do the tasting for $18 per person ( same price as the tour and tasting!) and absolutely worth it!! We had Keely as our guide through the tasting and she was amazing! There was another bartender as well, Kalani ( spelling?) and the two of them worked amazingly together making sure everyone sitting at the bar was taken care of. The tasting included 6 and they allow you additional as well so you can try others you didn't get or just get another of the ones you enjoyed. All were really good with that smooth whiskey burn that warms from the inside out well being full of flavors! We had a hard time picking out which bottle to buy since we enjoyed them all but finally settled on one and headed to our event. Absolutely put this on the list if you are in Chattanooga!!
