Beans Creek is just off I-24 in Manchester, not far from shopping on the square. The wine flight was a great option to try some before choosing a bottle or glass of your favorite. We live near the winery and drive past it quite often . But this time there was a chili cook off and we had to go. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We walked in and there is a really nice wine bar.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I checked in and got a free wine tasting . You get to try 6 wines. And they were all very good. We sat with Jeff who was friendly and spoke of the events he was creating there. Went to the back where the chili was and tried them all. Top notch! Celebrated Galentine's Day with some gal pals at Beans Creek. It was wonderful! We all did tastings, and paired it with a very nice, shared, decently priced ($10-15, depending on which size) charcuterie as a snack. The service Alan provided was exceptional, and the wines were great! All in all, a better experience at a lower cost with excellent quality than Napa (IMO). We found three of their wines enough to buy them but weren't "blown away" by any. This is a nice winery, very convenient to Interstate 24 in Manchester. They have a wide selection of wines and the prices are in line with most others. What kept it from getting a fourth star was our server, who needed several (not just 1 or 2) prompts to tell us what wine we were tasting. This detracted from the experience. read more

This place is so cool. Your check in on Yelp entitles you to a free tasting of 6 wines, but they let us try about 8. The Cynthiana is the absolute bomb, smoky, red, complex, perfect for smoked foods, and $19.95/bottle. My second favorite was the Syrah Reserve, an aged very good complex red. The port was fantastic. Yes, we had to get the 6 bottle special at 10% off. If you drive by here, stop by here. These are amazingly good inexpensive wines. Mostly grown in Tennessee. We came here on a whim with my husbands parents. They have a great selection of sweet, semi-sweet, and dry wines, as well as two dessert wines. Their space is nice, with a spacious outdoor area as well. We did the tasting, then sat outside for a bit. They seem to support other local businesses and incorporate a variety of events like yoga, painting, and music nights. Loved meeting the owner and chatting with the staff. Had a wonderful visit to the winery. Relaxing and informative, without a pretentious feel. Stephen was a delight and made our stop truly enjoyable. You can choose from 6 tastings for $6 or taste all (14+) for $10. There are also some flight options. We went for the whole list and were pleasantly surprised by the quality and enjoyed the vast majority. Went home with the award winning port and a bottle of TN Vidal Blanc. We walked in and said hello. No one said anything to us. There was a gentleman tasting and another male sitting behind the counter. The lady working wasn't friendly I think due to them closing in 55 minutes or maybe she is just not friendly. My Mom in law who is 79 years old didn't have her ID. The lady behind the bar said she couldn't serve her without her ID. If that's the rule I think that's fine but not being friendly and inviting in a winery tasting room is the first for me. I have been all over the country wine tasting. I won't be back. This is a shame since I drink a lot of wine and was hoping in my new home area to find a winery nearby. This review is not on the wine since I never got to taste any just the experience walking in and interacting with the person working there. I will be going back to Amber Falls Winery. read more

Confession Time! I bought the Living Social deal for Beans Creek before attending A Toast To Tennessee Wine Festival. Upon visiting the Wine Festival and trying the selection of wines that Beans Creek had chosen to bring, I was incredibly disappointed. I didn't like any of the 3 wines I tried that day and worried that I had wasted my hard earned dollars on a Living Social deal. A road trip to the south part of the Middle Tennessee brought me to the area of Beans Creek, and with trepidation I entered their shop ready to spend my Living Social bucks. I figured I could give the wine away to SOMEONE if I didn't like it. We were greeted with a friendly smile by the lady in the shop. I looked over their list of wines to find that they offer a HUGE selection. Being a fan of the sweeter wines, I told her of my interests, and she made a recommendation. It was delicious...and so were all of the other wines that she recommended. I had a difficult time choosing what wines I wanted to purchase without overloading the trunk of my car. There was only one that I tried that I didn't like, and it was one that I had asked for and not one that she had recommended based on my taste preferences. She was incredibly sweet, helpful and knowledgeable about the wines she offered us. Seriously awesome wines! I'll be back or at least be making more Beans Creek purchases from my local stores! read more

This is one of the best wineries I've been to. Being right off of a major highway I was nervous it would be a tourist trap and not about the wine. While they don't grow the grapes at this location they do just down the road. They have a large selection of over 30 wines. They will allow you to taste every wine if you want to for free which is awesome. The wines are from different types of grapes and they have everything from fruity wines to full body. They have a nice shop and a huge tasting area. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They also have a nice picnic area in the back and have a summer concert area. We stopped by while we were traveling through the state and highly recommend doing the same and buying a bottle. read more

This place was pretty cool. I met up with some good friends from back home who were visiting in the Nashville area so this place was exactly halfway for each of us. Plus, since we are native Californians, wine tasting is just what we do. I've been pretty leery of wineries in the South. Most seem to just do Muscadine or fruit wines, but this winery had some pretty decent varietals. They had a really nice white wine that both my friend and I really liked and they had a couple of really good red wines, including a special Bonnaroo Red blend that was delish. I really enjoyed the Port they had as well, even bought a bottle. I will definitely come back. It made me feel at home and the guy working there that day was super friendly and pretty knowledgeable about wines, even though he was really young. They do have the Muscadine wine and fruity wine aka Peach Pantydropper? LOL. But they also have some real wine that passed muster. The grounds are pretty too. read more

After a recent trip to another winery, this one was a nice change. The women administering the "tasting" took a good pace and didn't overfill our glasses. Enough to give you a good taste, not enough to get you inebriated, and spent enough time telling you about what you were drinking to keep you from feeling like she just wanted to be done with you. The selections we did sample were quite nice, and we left with several, having purchased a Living Social Deal. This can be a make or break moment, but in no way did she seem frustrated or annoyed by our coupons. If you are an AT&T Customer and have no signal, they do have free Wifi you can use (There is a QR code near the register with the info) I absolutely recommend it if you are passing this way. read more

This place is fantastic. Tom Brown really provides an incredible experience tasting the wines and learning the process. They have a wide range of wines for your pallet and do a great job finding the right wine for you. The Midnight Sun and Noiret were my wines of choice, although we thoroughly enjoyed the Chardonel and Verdot Blanc. The Rose is also nice for a hot day. Very very impressed with the wines here. Nice dry whites and dry reds from TN hybrid grapes. Syrah was our favorite, so we bought a bottle and we also picked up a rose before we left. Great customer service and one-on-one tasting experience. I even like their fruit wines, which is usually a no-go for me. Real fruit inclusion and not a flavoring additive. Strawberry sparkling was especially impressive--don't be deterred by the color. Would make a fantastic margarita floater or ridiculous mimosa. read more

Our family dropped by and visited the Beans Creek Winery on our way through the area. The facilities are nice and they have a good variety of locally sourced wines. Nice dry reds, sweet whites, and even a blend of wine and sherry. The stop would have been more pleasant if the person serving the tastings had been more personable.
