The focus is on horsemanship and not just throwing you on a horse. They ask your goals and help you work towards them. Do you want to be a better rider? Do you want to work towards owning your own horse and being able to care for them? Do you want to learn how to train the horse you have to be a safe partner through natural horsemanship? Previously i ran into people who were very skilled with horses but either were not or did not even want to be teachers. They seemed like they were just instructing to help pay for their own: riding , roping or horse training careers. The instructors at crossroads love teaching just as much as they love horses. Jason and DeMarco exude Southern Hospitality…read more We found The Gratidude Ranch on Airbnb and I think the best way to describe is, it is like stepping into another world when you enter the gates. Or at least to another time where things were more laid back, fun, carefree. It is also the most pristine farm we have ever seen. From the runs and stables where the animals are, to the common areas where the Farm to Table Dinners are served, everything is super clean and orderly. Even the animals were friendly and took to our elderly Great Dane immediately. As for the lodging, the best word to describe it is charming. We stayed in the one bedroom cottage and it was perfect for the two of us and our Great Dane. Once again, super clean and orderly but with a cozy factor built in that makes you feel like you have stepped into something from a movie set. A King bed is the main visual when you walk in and sits opposite a comfy chair and a pot bellied stove for colder evenings. A medium TV with satellite sits atop the chest of drawers and a little cafe style table and chairs round out the main room. Plenty of windows so lots of natural light. The kitchen 'area' is small but plenty big enough for two. It includes a microwave, sink small counter top, toaster oven and I believe there may be a portable electric stove top underneath that you can use on the counter should you need it. There is also a small but larger than dorm-size fridge freezer combo and is rounded out by a pub height table and chairs for two. The bathroom is fabulous! So much water pressure in the shower, you just don't want to get out. The Gratidude Ranch is well located and makes getting to Franklin, Leiper's Fork and Fairview easy. We went to all three and Nashville during our stay. The Gratidude Ranch is truly a special place with folks that have enormous hearts running it. Sorry this is such a long review but I promise it doesn't even begin to cover all The Gratidude Ranch has to offer. So come on Yelpers, come visit, stay, and Yelp about everything else we missed.

My son and I had beautiful and scenic rides for 3 days. Went overlooking the valley on the first day and down to the river and in the river the second day. We ate our packed lunch by the river. The last day was Sunday and we rode through the enchanted forest and through a small creek to church. AWESOME experience and great food is all I can say. You really should go to b see the great people at the Tennessee dude ranch. Owners Chris and Tammy are on site which means a lot to me to show that they care.
