Have led a couple of student groups here to take the cave tours. Both groups were pleasantly surprised just how much they enjoyed their experience. It's incredible to see just how much time, effort and money it must have taken to convert a cave into a concert venue of such quality. Although less developed, it was equally impressive to visit the larger cave accompanied with the expert knowledge of the tour guide. I hope to have the opportunity to actually attend a concert here soon as well! read more

A unique venue for sure! We were here for a techno show and walking in gave some Blade the movie vibes. The cave is not super large and the sound is a little interesting. Bc of it's natural rock curves, visibility of the front stage is hit or miss, especially for the short girlies like me. Security and walking to the venue was easy. We stayed on the property in one of their yurts which made it all that more easy. They have large fields for camping on site too. Price point for the ticket felt a little up there but not terrible. And the Yurts were pricey but AC, running bathroom, very clean and cozy so can't complain. A couple of food trucks at the entrance and the doner kebab one was sooo good, we ordered from there twice in the night. read more

Visited The Caverns for the first time not too long ago and I have to say that I was really impressed. Getting in and out was simple and efficient. This can be a real pain at a lot of venues so having it go so smoothly here was nice. The staff was exceptionally friendly. Their friendliness stood out. It seemed like everyone I encountered really enjoyed working there and you love to see that. There were a few food options...a pizza truck and a bbq truck. I got the bbq and it was both delicious and reasonably priced. (Seriously get the bbq sandwich.) Another win. On top of all that, the venue itself was awesome. A big cave, sloped downward toward the stage so you could get a good view from anywhere, and the sound of the show was great. Overall this is a unique and interesting venue that's doing a lot of things right. Would go out of my way to return. Love it. 5 stars. read more

The caverns is a very unique place to see live music. We had a great time. I will say though that that SIXTY dollar premium parking seems a little extreme. I hope artists get a cut of that income. Free parking is around the corner and up the hill. It isn't a terribly long distance but it was dark and raining when we went. We didn't try the food but the trucks offered interesting and nice looking fare. Security checkpoints did not delay our entry. The employees were all quick and responsive. I came to see Murder by Death and threw in a cave tour. I loved everything about this venue and location. We did the pre-set up tent so we wouldn't have to drive anywhere afterwards and it was definitely worth it. The venue itself is amazing - a once in a lifetime type event - where else can you see a concert in a cavern? They do everything right. Beautiful walk to the venue, helpful staff, drinks that are reasonably priced and no long lines. Our tent was basic but fine. The sleeping cots were actually really comfortable with the foam pad. We didn't spend much time inside - just put our suitcase in, got ready for the show, and then slept there afterwards. The cave tour was great - the guide was super knowledgeable about the cave and the history of the venue. Do it if you get a chance. The price of the tour was a bargain I thought. Bonus - I somehow left a tennis shoe behind in the tent - they shipped it back to me for free! How's that for great customer relations? Go see a show at the Caverns - you won't regret it! read more

First of all this place is out of this world breath taking and the sound system is so good! I want to thank the staff ! In particular the security staff. I went there to see filter on March 15th and had a great time...until I got to my car and found a flat on my car. I could not get any help from my rental car service and was pretty much stranded. The security there especially the one working the checkpoint at the gate was so kind and helped me try and get my car towed, tried to fix my tire, and literally went above and beyond along with the other security workers. I appreciate what good human beings work there and to go along with one of the most incredible music venues I've seen!! Will be again. If someone from the venue sees this please give my thanks to the security working alongside the woman at the gate ! read more

Wow...that's huge and dark!!! Your typical cave BUT the difference is how wide we actually got to see, and if you are claustrophobic, you will not have a problem being inside this cave. And you actually see sea shells. When they turned off, the light inside the cave, it is really pitch black. Also loved that it was 56 degrees inside the cave. Great info read more

My husband and I traveled from CA to attend the LSDream show. We camped on-site; check in was a breeze, super easy. You can camp anywhere to you want in the massive grass field. The venue is about a 5 minute walk from camping. The caverns are such a cool magical experience to see. We loved that it was more intimate, not a massive festival with thousands of people. Inside, the lasers and lights bounced off the cave walls and ceiling, so awesome! It is a real cave so it can be moist and warm inside and there is natural water that drips down from the ceiling but that added to the whole experience. They had 2 food trucks and 1 bar for drinks. The only negative is that the women's bathroom line was alway super long. Overall we loved and and will be back! read more

Pelham, TN We came here for the Cavefest weekend. I'm not sure how separate the Cavefest organizers are from The Caverns people. This review covers both for the three days we were there. The good: Acoustics as a whole were really good except for one band at the main stage relied on heavy volume for their signature, and another in the cave was just very loud noise that we had to escape. The sound people often delivered serious feedback and outages. Do they need better equipment or more experience? The main stage area is huge with a great tiered slope for chairs and blankets. I believe it could accommodate a Billy Strings show if they dared to. There was always plenty of standing room in front of the stage so one could get up close. The cave stage is standing room only. The cave stage is really pretty cool but if you're dancing it gets hot in there pretty quick. The security people are nice and don't act like wanna be cops. The entry process is systematic and pretty fast. The vibe here is awesome. Everyone is friendly with no attitudes, we met a lot of new friends here. Some of the acts were top notch. Some not so much, but they are reaching out for a broader audience and some acts that I hated were loved by others. There is a nice walking path from camping to the music area. The caterers for the VIP lounge did a great job, absolutely delicious. The breakfast was good too. Who ever manages the yurts needs a commendation. They are 100% a luxury glamping experience, from hot showers, comfortable bed, and Turkish towels, and more, there is nothing to complain about. The cave tour is really great and ended just as I was ready to get out of there. A very easy walk to the stage area, you don't really need to do the shuttle. The bad: The coffee lady is not a good vendor for this festival. She doesn't open until 8:30, and a line has already been waiting. She doesn't have a helper when she needs one the most. She is SLOOOW. Also no regular coffee for self serve? Huh. The lattes are weak with little flavor. Trying three shots in a twelve ounce cup didn't help. The veteran food truck guy serves an awesome hamburger that is worth it. His rib eye sandwich, however, is just ok. While it is really quite tasty there is gristle, unfortunately. That accompanied by a less than adequate size makes the $16 price a big NO. Avoid . The Ugly: The opening entry to the festival is painful. Someone does not have their organizational skills at a level needed. They need someone that knows how to do this, not some amateur. We waited in a line of cars that barely moved for over an hour. Will I be back? Yes. read more

My husband and I purchased tickets to a concert at The Caverns and arrived early enough to catch the last cave tour of the day--and, boy, we are certainly glad we did!!! Our guide (the fella who works in the shop and is also a guide who has been touring for 5+years) was absolutely phenomenal!! He was so knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining! It was obvious that he LOVED his job! He also showed us his collection of fossils, artifacts, and shark tooth. The concert (Josh Turner) was amazing!! I'm only leaving this review bc Jen who answered my email originally won't email or call me back . I'm from California and got a 2 tickets, a camping pass and cave tours for Eli brown last year in sept 2024. unfortunately it was canceled due to possible flooding and weather conditions and rescheduled a whole 8 months later . The weekend it happens to land on is Mother's Day weekend ( may 9) , being a mom and someone literally on the other side of the country I knew I wouldn't be able to attend . After going back and forth with Jen she told me I missed the opportunity for a refund and i can transfer the tickets to someone or a friend . That's not an option I don't know anyone in the area again I'm from California . I also realized they don't allow for resales so that's not an option online either for them to be listed . I asked her for a credit of any sort , anything and I can make it other weekends to other events instead of getting a refund . She flat out just ignored me . I called multiple times and spoke to ppl in the gift shop . They were nice and attempted to help as much as possible . It's been well over a week , and nothing. This venue looks amazing and I would have loved to really check it out , it was on my bucket list of things to do. But after an experience like this , it seems like all they care about is making money and not the actual experience of their events or patrons . I'm bummed to say the least . read more

This venue has been on my concert venue bucket list for a long time, and we recently made it for the four-night King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard run - which included two shows underground in the cave and two above ground in the amphitheater. From the cool and unique venue standpoint, it did not disappoint. So some things to know... this is a venue that yes, is a cave! It's pretty cool and part of a larger cave system that you can tour (highly recommend). It's also basically right where Bonaroo is held. So there is actually infrastructure like hotels in the area that can support a major music event. It's about an hour from Nashville, which is the nearest big airport. It IS in the middle of the mountains, and cell service is pretty crappy (and not existent inside the cave). Just know going in. Final random thing to know: the security team here wear cowboy hats and pack heat. It is rural Tennessee. Along the way, someone said the capacity was abut 1,600 in the cave and about 6,000 above ground. That seemed about right to me. The cave shows are intimate. They are small (in a good way). And the acoustics AND the lighting make it really unique. I would almost say you are better off being further back in the cave so you can really appreciate the visual impact of the cave. But being up close was a heck of a good time too. Just know that the shows in the cave can be tough if you are older and have adult aches and pains. My back, hip and feet were screaming at me after all that time on my feet. The staff inside the cave were great and I never had to wait very long for anything in line (except the merch line, which was insane). Bring good walking shoes. All the surfaces are uneven and much of it is dirt and gravel. Upstairs, the amphitheater is pretty traditional... there's a VIP section up front with plastic seats (that are actually quite nice). And then there's a lawn. There's a regular raised stage and it's much more of a "normal" concert venue. It was a really nice way to see some shows and a very unique experience. Also want to give the VIP staff some props... they did everything they could to make the VIP experience as VIP as they could. The VIP packages came with all the normal stuff, including a shuttle bus. But I heard the camping was good and the parking for all was free, which was a nice surprise. read more
