Perched atop a gorgeous hillside vineyard sprinkled with picnic tables and a lovely small stage for concerts, the scenery was breathtaking, peaceful, and absolutely amazing--even under an overcast sky after narrowly missing the rain. The hospitality matched the views, with a warm and friendly staff that made our personal tasting--shared alongside a lovely couple visiting from England--truly special. We explored the tasting options among three of us: Red Flight: Chosen by my father. White Flights: Enjoyed by both my sister and me. Sweet Selection: An alternative flight offering a mix of red and white options. Wine is wonderfully personal, and while I appreciated their selection overall, the whiskey-barrel-aged wines weren't quite to my taste, as I generally prefer wines aged in oak or stainless steel (especially whites). A Helpful Tip for Visitors: While there are handicap parking spaces, we found the walk up to the tasting room a bit challenging for our mother due to back issues. We later discovered a couple of parking spaces closer to the entrance, as well as a staircase. Thankfully, we were able to drive up the hill to pick her up afterward, sparing her the walk back down! After our tasting, we relaxed outside with a picnic lunch we brought ourselves. All in all, I truly enjoyed our visit and would love to return for one of their concerts. As a fun bonus, one of the co-owners is Kix Brooks from Brooks & Dunn! If you've never been to Arrington Vineyards, it is definitely worth a stop.

It was surprisingly difficult to find where we were supposed to go for our tasting, and the staff weren't particularly helpful in directing us. Granted, the weather wasn't great that day, and we were told they normally have golf carts to transport guests to the tasting area. So I'll give them a pass on that! Apparently, we weren't the only ones having trouble, as another table also arrived quite late because they couldn't find the location. Thankfully, once we finally found our way, the experience was wonderful! We tasted five different wines, each paired with a small dessert. Just a heads-up: don't expect the food portions to fill you up! These are small bites meant to complement the wines rather than serve as a meal. What I really enjoyed was how thoughtfully the wines and desserts were paired. There were a few wines I initially thought I wouldn't like, but surprisingly, I ended up enjoying them once paired with the right dessert. It really showed how much a good pairing can change your appreciation of a wine! The tasting was enjoyable, the setting was lovely, and the price was very reasonable for the experience. Overall, I would definitely recommend Arrington Vineyards, especially for a romantic afternoon or a relaxing wine tasting with someone special. Everything was organized and ready for our group. There were eight wines, each was well paired with an item, primarily cheese, but also nuts or chocolate. While we did not like all of the wines, the overall experience was great, which was down to the staff. Caitlyn (not sure if the spelling is correct) was phenomenal, we really enjoyed her hosting us, as well as the couple other staff that popped in. Worth checking out, especially if you have a group and can make a reservation. Cellar 53 is the winery experience that you need to have with great wines. They have everything you need for an enjoyable time here. Unbeknownst to us, Cellar 53 was having a 'Wildflowers and Wine' event the lovely Saturday afternoon that we happened to go there. There was live music on their covered back patio and out in front there was a food truck selling tacos, a stand selling goat cheese and fudge, a stand with sangria and then a garden tent with hanging plants and pots filled with flowers for Mother's Day. There were so many pros about our day here and the cons aren't really a big deal at all! Pros: -Prices: You simply cannot beat a tasting which is $5 for 5 wines! The bottles are almost all under $20 so you will not break the bank coming here even if you buy several bottles. -Wines: they have a good mixture of whites, reds and fruit wines which the fruit is Tennessee-grown. My boyfriend doesn't really drink wine but he loved the Brush Creek Sweet White (thank you Cellar 53 we have a new wino!) so we got a couple bottles of that one and one of their Wildberry wine. -Beautiful grounds: their back patio has comfortable seating with pillows and then picnic tables and other seating. They do have a corn hole set as well. -The staff: Since it is a family-owned operation one of the staff told us stories about the grounds and wines which we really enjoyed. Also, we bought a block of their herb cheese and crackers which they cut up for us in cubes and brought out to the patio. Cons: -Far for most. It is 30 minutes from our house but likely Nashville folks will find it to be more like an hour. It is worth the trip though! -Small tasting bar area. I would say that perhaps 8 people can stand up at the tasting room bar area at any time. Even on a busy day we only had to wait about 5 or 10 minutes before a couple of people left the area so that we could do a tasting, which wasn't too bad. There was an adjacent room to the bar area that looked like it could accommodate larger parties so I think that with advanced notice this wouldn't be a problem. Tips: -The payment option didn't give me a place to tip when I paid with my credit card.
