Cider and food were great! Calm and relaxing place to hang out for an afternoon playing board games.

Sweet hometown find. Great local atmosphere that makes you feel welcome. Even a selection of games and books from Tennessee and brewing. The food is ordered to the right and the person who took our order at the walk up window was friendly and helpful. The menu was not huge, but there's nothing I didn't want to try! The burgers were delicious, good onion rings and good broccoli salad. My husband is a chili snob, and really liked his cup of chili. The cook gave us a number and found us on the brewery side of the house when our food was ready. We also had great service to the left in the brewery side of the house, friendly and informative. My husband tried the home brewed stout and was pleased.

I loved the interior, if I won the lottery and could buy a bar I would purchase this one. Great service at the bar and at the food counter. The beer selection has something for everyone, try something new or stick with your favorites. Ready for the next road trip!

Really enjoyed stopping in here and checking out this spot. Anytime we travel to a different town I like to see if there is a brewery to check out, thankfully we chose Happy Trails Brewing ... these guys are doing a great job. Plenty of draft selections to choose between different styles of beer....so you should be set regardless of what your favorite kind is. My wife had a sour (to my surprise it was really good - not so much on the sour) and I went with a cider. If they don't have anything that strikes your mood they do have a nice selection in cans/bottles that are pretty unique - not your typical big name beer companies and their offerings. They have also partnered up with Trailhead Grub & Smoothies (in the same building) to provide a selection of foods (Really good!). Also, they have a great outdoor area (behind the building) so if they are packed there should be enough space outside for just about any number of people. If you're in the area check these guys out!

I stopped here after dinner at Foglight Foodhouse and man, was it fun! There was musical bingo happening and it was a blast! Flights were very reasonably priced and I tried many tasty flavors. I love the story of how the brewery got started and am glad to support when I make it back out that way again.

Happy Trails is a very fun brewery and a nice addition to Sparta. We visited here back in August and it was great to sit outside and enjoy some good brews in the summer sun. Their own brews were very tasty and I particularly enjoyed the Four Rivers NEIPA. They also have a great selection of local and other craft brews that you can enjoy in house or take to go. The atmosphere is very fun and we particularly enjoyed the outdoors-y decor. The outdoor seating is also plentiful and filled with lawn games, which is very fun. We look forward to coming back again post-COVID so we can enjoy more of the brewery.

Fun local haunt but be prepared: When you walk in, you might feel out of place. This is one of those places that stirs up envy within your heart because EVERYONE knows your name (unless you're visiting). We sat on the porch to enjoy our beer and delicious designer grilled cheese, and in the course of the hour, numerous people came out to say hi to Biff, the golden retriever who is also an apparent porch regular. The beer is okay, not great, but I don't regret my choices either.

We attended Happy Trails 3 year anniversary last weekend and are in love with the place! They have a very extensive beer/cider menu. I wish I had taken note of all the drinks we tried, as there were several I really loved. They also have the option to order food from a separate business that is on site, and everything we had was really good (though I didn't care much for the jerk sauce on the nachos). It's a great atmosphere! I highly recommend it!

A must stop. Amazing collection of tasty brews with a relaxing environment. The beers are ice cold and they have a great selection that everyone can enjoy. I'll be back.

We stopped in on a Friday afternoon and had pints of the Special Kind of Evil, a hoppy IPA style pour and the All Hallows Ale, a riff on a porter. Porters aren't my thing but this was really good with all sorts of spice - cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, etc. The IPA was a nice balance between a regular one on the hoppy side and a more Imperial style - ABV landed between 6 and 7%. The atmosphere here is just something special - it reminds me more of an English pub, where friends hang out together every day to catch up and fraternize with their neighbors. And the service is both knowledgeable and generally friendly, emphasis on genuine. Oh and their merch! Not your normal merch! A lot of it is handcrafted - really nicely done leather items, hand crafted. I really wish I could pick this place up and take it home with me to Ohio! Very unique and look forward to a return visit on our next trip to Tennessee. As the sign says: "Brewed Free of the Tyranny of Stylistic Oppression" Live on Calfkiller! I stop everytime I head down south from Nashville, usually working in the side room for half the day so I can avoid rush hour in Nashville. From a beer standpoint, this is one of the top breweries in Tennessee. They are well known nationally, as well. The building is a warehouse looking structure on the outside, but they have nicely decorated the tap room. Ample seating both inside and out and they have bands on some weekends. I have tried the flatbreads, a couple of sandwiches, and the Dinosaur wings (only kidding, but they are the largest chicken wings they can buy, so ample sized). I prefer the wings most of the time - except their rendition of Nashville Hot - but this time opted for a meatball sandwich. If you are trying to be an Italian food afficianado, this might not be in, but the sauce works well with these meatballs and there is ample cheese. As one normally focusing on Keto, adding a fork meant I could eat the kibbles and bits and leave the bun. Two thumbs up. As for the beer, they have some of the best IPAs and I finally tried the porter this go around. Many of their beers are rated above 4.0 on untappd and it is not just a local bump kind of thing. The brewery, as a whole, is 3.92 and also well deserved. To my normal "Will I be back" question, I think the answer is already clear. I do return almost every time I pass by.
