What a perfect gem in Chattanooga. Since Jhett and Callie have taken over the Woodshop it's one of my favorite spots in Chatt. They have so thoughtfully curated everything. The menu of BBQ and crafted cocktails are so delicious, my favorites include the dry rubbed ribs and the whiskey Sioux cocktail. The trout dip is another fave and I'm super picky but everything I've tried and I've worked my way through almost their entire menu, is so good. They always get the best musical guests, some local, a lot of national but also a good amount of musicians from other countries that I don't feel like I would have had access to here in Chatt outside of their listening room. The backyard out back is another favorite area of mine. On a warm day, it's a perfect spot to set up with a pulled pork sandwich and a drink and chat with people or read a book. I'm saving the best part of the woodshop for last and that's the staff and the owners, Jhett and Callie. Their care is noticed the minute you step in. You're always welcomed, the bar staff is friendly and quick. A good experience from everyone there starts at the top with these two superstars setting the example. Love this place and those two! Highly recommend The Woodshop!

    Had a blast

The ambiance is great. Music was fantastic. Connection 27 was the live entertainment. Food was good enough, had pizza and ck fingers. Hard to go wrong with that combination.

Fantastic listening room in trendy St. Elmo! When I stepped in, I immediately knew I was in for a fun evening. The place looks like a cozy living room inside but with small tables and what looked like a couple of church pews. A bar to the left with a nice wine and beer selection, but most important PBR's which are my go to on an evening of good music! There is also a good looking food menu. The total package. This is a LISTENING ROOM. The music is the focus and I love places like this! Not only do you get to hear the songs, but you also hear the stories behind the music. Intimate and welcoming, the owner Pate came out several times to say hi and then went back to the kitchen to wash dishes. You can really tell when someone has created a dream rather than just a business. Everything about this place is well thought out and intentional. What an amazing experience! Up there with some of the best listening rooms I have ever been to and should be in the same conversations as Eddie's Attic or Blue Bird Cafe. Very well done.

Went for a show Saturday 2/25, and can honestly say it's one of the best small venues I've ever been to. Great drink selection, friendly service, and a great ambiance led to an absolutely wonderful experience. Highly recommended.

This place has some of the best bbq I have had in ages. Always great atmosphere and music. One of Chattanooga's best hidden gems.

They have another dining area and an outside area too. Hunter was our server and she was great! She had great recommendations and was an attentive, fun person. Our glasses never ran empty. We started with Jalapeno Cheddar Hushpuppies with Spicy Yogurt. My husband had the Smoked Brisket French Dip - Smoked Brisket, Caramelized Onions, Provolone Cheese, Au Jus, French Hoagie with Beer Battered Fries. I had The Motherclucker - Springer Mountain Farms Southern Fried Chicken, Spiced Pickles, Hot Sauce, Duke's Mayo, Niedlov's Bun. Hunter recommended adding Pepper Jack cheese and Bacon, as well as the Brussels Sprouts with Maple & Bacon. Everything was wonderful. There were way too many Brussels sprouts. It also would have been nice if they were cut into smaller pieces. They had a special dessert of Blackberry Cobbler with Vanilla Ice Cream. This brought back childhood memories of my grandmother's cobblers. My husband had the Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Upon entering we were greeted by warm and friendly staff. Wait time was reasonable (20 mins) and there was a fair amount of seating. There were about 3-4 groups waiting to be seated. We were walked through the establishment and seated at a booth table near the bar. If you are into sports you can see the TVs from just about every seat. The waitress arrived shortly after our seating and took our appetizer and drink order. We started with the Triple B. The fries came out quickly, were hot, fresh and delicious. The drink I ordered was out, but the waitress gave another option, but unfortunately that was out as well. Ended up having an old favorite, Guinness. For our meals we ordered the smoked brisket French dip and the wagyu burger. Upon ordered the burger our waitress informed us there was a shortage of patties and if we still wanted the burger we would get one patty instead of two, but at a lower cost. Both dishes were amazing and we couldn't finish them as both the fries and the entrees were larger in comparison to other places we have eaten. Overall this was a great experience with great food. The only thing we had difficulty with is having to use the phone flashlight to read the menu as the lighting was really dim. Will definitely return if we take another trip here.

Always meant to go here, but never followed through until last night when my bestie Kim invited me…read moreto hear a Journey tribute by the band Resurrection. I'd never heard of them, but... Journey, right? I'm a metalhead primarily, but enjoy quite a few other types. Not a huge fan of country unless it's funny, but that's another story. I checked out the hours on Yelp, naturally, because where else, and noticed there hadn't been a review since around 2015. I'm about to rectify that... It's only getting 4 stars due to parking. It's not marked and you guess that all the cars directly across the street are PROBABLY where you should go... and once you get inside, and sign tells you that it IS correct. Confusing. Would you be towed? I have a handicap tag and I parked in front of the building to the right of them next to two very large pickup trucks. Wasn't towed, no ticket. Thank God. Fluke? Lucky? Don't know... When we went up the weird little steps... not exactly handicap accessible... it's a fairly dark crowded place with a wide aisle separating tables from the check-in area, a small serving area, the long bar, more tables the stage, and access to the upstairs seating area. The lady that checked us in verified Kim's name in a book even though she ordered her tickets through some app... didn't even need to scan the QR code! We were given our little bracelets and went to find a table... hopefully... as it fills up FAST there! However, as soon as we got the bracelet on, we were headed past two young ladies who gave us FREE PASSES TO NEXT WEEK'S GUNS 'N ROSES TRIBUTE! Yep! Have bracelets to get into that for free, thanks to Jadan Geren and Rachel Dame. Thanks, dolls! We will try to make it! Thankfully, a sweet married couple by the names of Shannon and Brandon had a couple of free chairs at their table, so we had a place to sit, and it was close to both bar and stage. A pole was kind of in the way, but... sitting. Table. Nice couple. Thankful. The prices aren't too bad. Bottled beer was $4.50, mixed drinks I'm not sure of as I was the designated driver. Bottled water $1... fries $2.50, onion rings $2.99. Combos like burgers and fries $8... grilled cheese and fries I think was $7 or $7.50... they have things like fried pickles or cheese sticks for about $8... sorry I couldn't get a pic of the paper sheet that was a menu... ours was wrinkled, and they're a dark wine color... The opening act, which wasn't advertised, wasn't bad if you like a predominantly country, raspy voiced acoustic guitar kinda guy. His name was "Bobby". Just... Bobby. Was told he played in Nashville 6 days a week. I can see it. He's pretty good. Just not what anyone wanted to hear for a couple of hours while waiting for a Journey tribute... and I heard people complaining left and right. And yawning. Yep. Yawning. It was the fact raspy voices don't have much range, and after about an hour he was beyond monotonous... Once Resurrection came on stage? It got hopping!!! The bar had pretty much run out of food during Boring Bobby, so people need to eat EARLY. The acoustics are pretty good, the bass beat even vibrates the floor! The employees are ALL really nice. Customers/venue goers (whatever you want to call the people that bought tickets) are pretty nice, but have no compunction whatsoever of blocking your view. None. The open floor in front of the stage isn't that big and they will cram themselves on it or block the aisle leading to it, making it hard to get to your table if it's close to the stage and you went to the bar or the restrooms located to the right of the bar. Oh well. Concert. Happy rocking people. Deal with it, right? I'll update if Kim and I make it to the GNR tribute...

Not entirely sure how long this rendition has been here (bars in the area change names so…read morefrequently), but I think they may finally have a winner! It's a good sized club and they play a lot of good music. I've heard everything from funk to edm to hip hop. They bring in many great local artists to showcase their skills all the time. It's a good place to hang out and hear some good tunes. I have a blast every time I go.
