Went to see They Might Be Giants at this venue. It has great sound and is a smaller venue so very intimate. The getting in was easy and people working the venue friendly.Quick to get through security with little lining up for it. The place has a bar near the main floor. There is ample nearby parking that is quite affordable. It is amusing it us on Choo Choo Avenue. read more

The Signal was a great concert hall with really friendly staff. I absolutely loved the security, they were great guys and laid back. Some of the bartenders were a little flat and rude, and I bought 1 Modelo and 1 High Noon and it was $25 dollars which was a shockingly hiked price! So i advise you to perhaps not get drinks here. I saw Isaiah Rashad here in his hometown and they threw a memorable concert to remember. Whoever operated spotlights did an amazing job! I loved my time here. A really great concert venue! It is not too big and not too small. There is a large floor section to stand in, some tables in the back, and a balcony if you really can't see over all of the tall people Typical bar on either side with expensive drinks, but that is nothing unexpected these days. I really enjoy going to shows here, as the prices are always reasonable and they bring in some good talent. It's easy to find parking and get in and out, the staff are nice, and the sound is pretty good too. Not the best place I've been but great for a smaller rock show. Check it out! read more

This is a great place to experience a full piece band! I saw Nahko And Medicine For The People here and was not disappointed. Had plenty of room to dance. Chair options when I wanted to just hang out with friends for a bit. And the bar has plenty of libation options. I just recommend arriving to a show here on the earlier side to snag street parking. read more

Wonderful venue building, great location, good bands. The staff on the other hand are incredibly rude. Both security and the ticketing were short with us. This was before the concert even started when hardly anyone was here, just myself and three other people be If you have anxiety and don't like being touched, the ticket taker woman blocked me with her arm stop me from trying to go into the restroom as soon as I came in. I had to walk through the concert hall and around. Yay for having to take a slam after two hours of driving and having someone be as unfriendly as possible tell you to can't go to the bathroom without on obstacle while touching me. Not sure I'll come back unless someone incredible comes here. read more

Great! Went here for a Gregory Alan Isakov concert and it was lovely. It was quite packed on there though, but also some people don't have personal space lol! They had drinks but I'm not sure about food. The only thing I wish was different is the poles stuck in the middle of the floor; if you get stuck behind one, you can't see nothin! Glad to see my favorite artist and had an unproblematic experience. read more

Have came to two shows here so far. I've really enjoyed both and the atmosphere. It's a good intimate space with good views of the stage. Two extra long bars along the sides with great service! Nice bathrooms as well. Will keep coming due to reasonable concert prices and a fun atmosphere even if you don't know the band that well!! read more

Neon moon sucked. The lead singer couldn't carry a tune in bucket. He sucked and the sound sucked. He sounded like he was singing into a pillow. I feel like "The Signal" bent me over for charging me to listen to that bullshit. I will never go back. F' them and the band. And they ran out of Ultra before the bullshit main band came onstage. I was at the Atreyu show at the Signal in Chattanooga. I was having fun, light moshing. The venue has no posted rules banning moshing. I accidentally bumped into a guy and he got upset. I apologized, but continued enjoying He is Legend, making sure to not brush anyone. The next thing I know, someone bear hugs me from behind and says "If you continue, we're gonna have a real fucking problem." He did not identify himself as security. I asked him to let go of me, which he did. After another song, the guy that I had accidentally brushed up against grabbed me and tried to fight me, his friends backing him up. At this point, I would estimate that it was 5 on 1. I raised my hands and said that I'm not trying to fight. Almost immediately following, I was grabbed by 5 security guards (I'm 5'8" and weigh 155lbs). As I was being escorted out, I complied. The one on my left (short and fat with a handlebar mustache) told me that if I resisted it would just end really badly for me. As I left the venue, I asked him if he was going to throw me down the stairs. He replied with "If I could I fucking would," as the tall security guard with a handlebar mustache told me he should beat the shit out of me. This was grossly unprofessional and unwarranted. Had my initial interaction been identified as security, I would have payed more attention. Even then, it's completely unprofessional for a security guard to threaten to beat someone up. I paid $30 to see bands that I've wanted to see for 15 years and now might never get the chance to see, all because a guy and his friends riled up your security guards with something to prove. read more

This is a great live music venue. Great ventilation, huge ceiling fans! Awesome stage lighting. Friendly bartenders, doormen and staff. Good vibes all the way around. The manager Tara is great to deal with, and her ability to create an inviting, pleasureable music venue is reflected in the top notch staff working at The Signal. I really enjoyed this place. Well organized and secure, I felt safe inside and out. The 3 restrooms I observed are large and this included a gender neutral restroom. They have a queuing area with a black leather couch right inside the door and many people enjoyed this simple luxury. The outside patio is an open area with picnic seat for you outside lovers. This music and entertainment space can hold around 1200 guests and at my show the merchandise was very accessible. The two large Full Service bars on the main floor are run by pros and 1 had local sweets from my favorite local company. They also offer chips and caned drinks and free water. The stage was large and the balcony in the back was comfortable. They also have a separate bar on the balcony, but come early for access with a wristband to enjoy that fine space. I was comfortable and relaxed the whole time and the place had good circulation. I possibly counted 80 or more sound dampers that really helped the acoustics. The lightning was adequate, just be careful going upstairs to the balcony because you might run into a chair. Finally the ADA (Americans with disabilities) section was right up front and has good lighting, this made me happy because again I felt like they were taking care of their guests. My group was also impressed with the signage in the restroom that gave you a number to text if you felt unsafe. read more

I attended my first concert here since it was a benefit concert. The venue has plenty of room for all kinds of concert goers. I am not very fond of tight crowds so I stayed back and was able to enjoy the concert with plenty of elbow room. I had sprung for balcony tickets but I don't think I would do that again. It was double the price but the balcony is small and far removed from the action. read more

We went to the X Ambassador show last night and had a blast. The venue is nice. The real MVPs are the staff. The bar lines moved quickly, security was on top of it, and the management was so helpful and accommodating. Tara helped my husband and I out with several things while we were there and she couldn't have been nicer. She made the whole night for us. It's the next day and we're still talking about how wonderful and helpful she was. read more

I wish I could speak more on the venue, but sadly I can only speak upon its staff and specifically their manager Tara. This Saturday, my step sister and I went to attend Walk the Moon and we drove from Atlanta to come. Before we got to the venue, my step sister's ID and wallet was stolen. Well aware of the 18+ and ID policy, we turned frantic, got pictures of passports, student IDs, birth certificates, and even a SSN to try and help us because we could not drive back to Atlanta and then back to Chattanooga. Upon arriving to the venue, we explained the situation to the guy checking IDs who directed us to the manager, Tara, we explained the whole situation--where we said THE ID WAS STOLEN-- and Tara's very thoughtful response because she clearly listened to us very well (sarcasm) was, "Well go back and get your ID." Now let's think here everyone--if the ID in question was stolen, how do you want us to go get it back? Don't you think if we knew where it was we would have retrieved it? Tara's overall tone and attitude was annoyed and demeaning as opposed to wanting to actually help us. She kept on repeating that it was the House Rules and nothing she could do about it, okay whatever she HAS to follow the House Rules, right? No bending for ANY reason! Fast forward to about an hour later, my sister and I had started talking to one of the guys checking IDs (his name was Melvin 10/10 recommend.) As we are talking I noticed a group of people: a woman, a man, their daughter, and daughter's boyfriend, who was under 18( or at least didn't have his ID). Now the policy clearly states it HAS to be a parent or legal guardian of the child, (and I had just witnessed a sister who gained custody of her much younger sister get turned away by Tara) so I heard and watched the parents pleasing to Tara that he was their daughter's boyfriend and they weren't his parents or legal guardians. I felt sorry for them, knowing Tara was about to turn them away with the same cold, inconsiderate, unloving shoulder as she did us-- but wait-- what's this? Tara shook her head, turned to the security guard, pointed to the back of her hand,(where x's and stamps were placed) and then we witnessed all four of them get into the venue. This infuriated me. Not because of the we-want-in aspect, but because of the hypocrisy. This woman told us she has to strictly follow house rules, but this isn't very strict to me. I understand we were turned away or whatever, ok, thats fine, but fact of the matter stands that the boy was unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian of his own, so why was he let in? How did Tara pick and choose who she bent the rules for that night? It's irresponsible and inconsistent. Very poor management and I am very disappointed. DEFINITELY not coming back again unless they get a better staff in. -What's the real kicker here is that nobody's going to say anything about this and it's going to remain a corrupt and bullshit venue. read more
