Home of my Mom & I's fav peanut butter cream pie, Dockside Cafe never disappoints! We enjoyed a late lunch today here, Mom treating herself to the ribs and baked potato while I enjoyed a chicken salad and fruit platter. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The patio is so peaceful and creates such a beautiful view of the water to enjoy while dining. And of course our fav peanut butter cream pie dessert was the perfect ending to a lovely Thursday lunch. read more

We had a really nice dinner at this Dockside Restaurant. The Seafood Dip appetizer & the Crack Nuggets were delicious. We all had something different- quesadillas, chicken salad, Philly Cheesesteak etc. It was all good. The Cole slaw was delicious (they brought me a sample before I picked it!) The atmosphere was quiet and fun watching all the boats getting put in the lake. Our waiter Fernando was awesome. Very helpful & attentive & a really cute personality. Last time we were here on a Fri when it's all the catfish you can eat and it was kind of a zoo. I guess it's worth it if you like fried catfish. read more

It has been a while since I was here but I remember having a good tea so good that I had like 3-4 refills which is by no means healthy but I liked it and then I got some jumbo shrimp and I am a shrimp guy so I easily give this place a 4/5 stars would recommend read more

The food was great and the marina location was a very nice. We went in on an "all you can eat catfish " night so the wait was a bit longer but food was worth the wait (except the French fries...they were meh). Although super busy, the servers were all smiling and pleasant. If you want a casual vibe with a lakefront vibe, this is a nice place to watch the sunset and boats come in. We had the special all you can eat catfish with fries, coleslaw, and hush puppies. Note that there are no substitutions if you would rather have veggies with your fish, you will need to get a plate instead. read more

We have a slip for our boat here at Harrison Bay. This restaurant is just a short walk from our boat, and just LOVE it! The food is all fresh and full of flavor. We come a couple times a week, and are so happy they offer breakfast on the weekends. Some friends tried the NY strip a couple days ago snd shared a bite. Wow! The flavor was amazing and we were all surprised just how good they were. If your out this way, come enjoy! read more

Came by dinghy yesterday. We are all four in our 60's. Waitress had to have the "boss" out to check for IDs for a beer. Of course I did not have mine. No beer for me. She loudly stood by and told us why she carded us over and over until my husband asked her to leave. Under 21? haha Rediculous. Food was expensive and very mediocre. Ribs had sharp bones and fragments all over them. Salad $15 and was a small little bowl. We will never go back. read more

Never had a bad meal here I'm usually in at least once per week for lunch. Burgers are great! Pulled port is very good. Friday night catfish is great too. Desserts are always so good. The BBQ sauce they use for several items is so good. Can't wait for spring when they will be back open. read more

Great ambience. We ordered starter, salad, and entree all at once. The issue is we got all the food delivered at the same time (so much for the starter). Had the grilled grouper entree but it was heavily salted to the point of scraping the coating off. I'd give them another chance hoping for the better. read more

My husband introduced me to this place. It was summer, and I really wanted to go out to eat somewhere by the water since it is so hot here. And here we are. New place! I really enjoyed the food , and enjoyed looking at all these boats around. It is kind of away from all things but very cute. People who work there are so friendly. And you can go to this place without worrying too much about the look and shoes since people are dressed there for the boating. I will visit this place again! read more

Was sat after checking, to find our name already scratched off. Waitress took our order 10 minutes after being sat and wasn't seen again until we had to get up and ask for refills (40 minutes later). Saw our food sitting in window for 20 minutes before another waitress brought our food, but forgot our daughters food and never brought it even though we could see it. As stars go, I give Dockside 4 because for lake food, they excel. It's hard to give them a rating on scale with restaurants in town because when I come off the lake I am STARVING!!! I could eat tree bark and give it 2 stars. I am only kidding...we'll sort of. Most restaurants on the water have either terrible service or terrible food, and several that I will not name, suffer from both. They know that they have a captive, half starved clientele and they treat you like your in a prison cafeteria. This is not the case with Dockside. I have eaten here many times and I cannot say that I have ever had a bad meal. Breakfast, lunch or dinner they are solid! The grouper sandwich is better than most and you can order it prepared grilled, fried, blackened, basically anyway you like. Cheeseburger is very good. Tonight I had the pimento cheese burger and it was very good. Salads are fresh, very large and tasty. Breakfast is just as good, no matter what you order. The BLT is great, morning or night! They also have a decent selection of beer now. This is relatively new and has only been available in the last couple years. Before that, alcohol was not allowed in the state park. Prices are moderate. Burgers are like 9 bucks and sides are extra. I don't think there is anything higher than $12. Service is a little slow but extremely friendly. When I am on the lake I am relaxing so when my server is pleasant It really doesn't bother me. If your impatient, take a pack of peanut crackers and choke them down on the water. That will teach you patients quick! When you're at Dockside chill out and enjoy the view of the water and the carnival atmosphere of the people loading and unloading their boats. Heads up, the language is at least PG 13. Road rage has nothing on boat ramp fury! If your on the lake or camping in the state park, don't hesitate to check them out. You will be glad that you did. read more

Decent service. View is pretty good. But the food is below average at best. I had their catfish plate on Friday may 14th. It was so bad I would bet money it had been frozen since before covid. I was sick in just a few minutes after eating here. Skip the meals, maybe just eat hushpuppies and have a cold beer. read more

I do like this place a lot! Good service and good food. Nice view of the docks and busy boat ramp. You can't go wrong with anything I think but go for the seafood! The do a good job cooking up the fish! I'll be back soon and I hope to see you there! read more

We haven't eaten here in years bc we had moved away. They used to have my favorite philly cheese steak sub but now it is not worth getting. The staff is friendly and fairly quick so no complaint there. But the food is sub par. The only thing half decent was my daughters chicken tenders. read more

This is a great spot by the lake. Not all of their food is terrible. They have beer, desserts, and burger/fries that are ok. But most everything else is not just bad, but criminally bad. I had the beef brisket, charred beyond the ability to eat, greasy and nasty. I complained and they have me 20% off. I would not have given it to my dog. My friend had some chicken tenders. Also uneaten. I regret I did not take a picture, but I am not used to complaining or writing reviews. The place was empty at lunch on a Friday, and there is a good reason. Came here after a day of fishing. The food and service was fine. I would give three stars except the place was kind of dirty... I don't know if the windows have ever been washed!!! If you sit inside next to the big windows you can see turtles, ducks, and fish swimming below you... But you got to get past the nasty fingerprints on the windows to do so. As far as the food and staff go - I had a bacon cheeseburger and it was perfectly cooked, seasoned, and a nice size. It came with fries and those were ok. I would definitely get a burger again though. My boyfriend got the club sandwich and he loved it. His daughter got a kids meat pizza and she wolfed it down... Being somewhat of a picky eater, she said it was yummy! We got fried pickles for an appetizer. They were delicious! Enough to feed an army! I would definitely go back after hanging out for a day of fishing. It would be better if they could clean the windows, but the food and friendly service are worth a visit! read more

I particularly enjoyed this place because we docked our fishing boat and walked right in. We got to sit on the deck with a view of the lake.Service was good and the sandwiches we got were really good, burgers and fries all very good.Nice and clean from what I saw. It's a good spot to stop when you're out on the lake. The food is pretty good, and the restrooms are clean.

Been twice in last few weeks. Service tries hard but bless them... they have messed something up both trips. (Wrong order brought to table, giving our order to another table). Amazing raspberry glazed ribs! Had them once before and they were perfect fall off the bone with sweet sauce drizzled all over them. Yummy!! This time it was a little on the spicy side but still very good! The environment was clean and the staff very friendly. The owner came and talked with us for a few minutes to see if we needed anything. The downside which was nothing the staff could control is the size of the dining area. There was a party outside and it began to rain so they came in and crowded the area. Like strangers hovering over us as we are because there was no where for them to go. All that aside. I do recommend eating there and definitely recommend the the raspberry glazed ribs. read more

We live close to the park but haven't eaten at dockside in a few years. My husband and I ordered bacon cheeseburgers while my daughter had the chicken tenders. The burgers had little to no flavor and the bacon was burnt. My daughters chicken tasted like the oil it was fried in needs to be changed. All condiments were placed in the container with the food which doesn't seem sanitary at all. read more

Great, laid back atmosphere. The food was good, and the views even better if you're on the patio. We had fried pickles for an appetizer, and I had the BBQ sandwich and fries for lunch. The good, the bad and the new & improved! The good - the serving staff are great. They care that you're happy and well served and will immediately let the kitchen know if something needs some work. The bad - I'm going to cut them some slack here. Reopening after a long closure and new staff meant there were a few kinks that needed working out. Our lunch took quite a bit longer than it should to come out. The food was also kind of hit and miss. They were open to our feedback though and I feel like once they get back into the swing of things everything will go up a notch. The new and improved - YEAH! For the new remodel. Everything got the fresh new facelift it needed to feel more like a diner and less like a dive. Great job! We'll be back and will update again this summer. read more
