Haven't been to Tupelo Honey in years. I ordered the southern shashouska and coffee. The coffee wasn't the greatest and I noticed they didn't get it from a coffee pot but from a carafe. The southern shashouska was good and kept me full for several hours. I didn't order any biscuits since they are known for that. We sat at the bar since it was busy and didn't want to wait for a table. The service and food was okay, nothing special, probably won't go back to this location. I enjoyed the one in Asheville better.

Server was nice, but seemed unfocused. I had eaten all of my appetizer before she remembered that she hadn't gotten my drink yet. Everything was good except the Mac & cheese. It tasted like Kraft. I had the fried chicken, sauce on the side, green beans, brussels (perfect amount of crisp), fried pickles and peach lemonade. Chicken fried crispy! So good! Try everything except the Mac lol ambiance was a nice southern flair.

Food first, thoughts after... We stumbled upon this brunch place while traveling to Chattanooga. Did not have reservation and originally was going to have to wait 15 minutes but a spot opened up. They are celebrating their 25th birthday and giving free biscuits. Overall the food was good and the portion sizes were huge. Just the way I like it! I would definitely come back.

Great spot. Chicken is their Jam, but they have a limited but diverse menu with breakfast items served throughout the day. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with Green Beans and Goat Cheese Grits and my companion had the Chicken BLT. Both were very good. Calista was our server and did a fantastic job. Parking tip; if you can snag a parking spot in front of the restaurant parking is free for the first 2 hours. Go to the parking kiosk and choose customer and put in your LP# and you're good to go.

I have been to Savannah Georgia and had southern food from the motherland,,, and this place was very comparable. Our waiter was the best. He was very helpful with suggestions and was patient with some of the slow ordering people in my party. The food was amazing. The drinks were the best. I had the old fashioned flight and it was the first time I had a flight like that. The place was very open and not cluttered at all with tables. Very clean inside and out. We will definitely be back.

I wish I had gotten a pic of the chicken and waffles that have been living rent free in my head ever since we tried them. We split an order and they were nice enough to send it to us on two plates - already evenly split - nice touch. It's a modern cool vibe, you can see the cooks in the kitchen working their tails off. I'll be back.

Oh my goodness!! What a delightful lunch we had. The food was delicious, the sauces were amazing! The smashed rosemary potatoes were out of this world The service was great, quick and very friendly. Attentive without being intrusive. The interior was adorable. A must try!!

2nd time to Tupelo Honey. Last time was YEARS AGO.... more than 5 years ago... and I came for the promotional beer glass. Back then they were still troubleshooting their fusin food menu. It was good... but I'm foodie snob... they had room for improvement. That was the Chattanooga location back then. Today at the St Elmo location one... everything SLAPPED!! We were even bummed we couldn't do cat cafe... and the food hear filled the kitty void with delicious food. My kid got blackened Mahi mahi, mac and cheese and fries. All yum. I got the surf and turf served over creamed Spanish and fried potatoes. Aperol Sprize to drink... okay... but never seen this drink before so it was the obvious choice. Then finished with the banana pudding and Mississippi mud pie mini tasting dessert. Oh... and signed up for club and got to sample the biscuits for free. The blueberry sauce and butter on their biscuits is definitely worth your time. Tristan was our waiter and he was cool and super helpful. Kid wants to bring daddy back here ASAP.

I've come to Tupelo honey a few times and love the atmosphere. Definitely a southern comfort food type of place and perfect for brunch, lunch, or dinner.

We came on Sunday brunch where we were told they use all of the ingredients from the week so nothing goes to waste and they create a new menu each Sunday to do this. I loved this ethos. The food sounded better than it tasted but it wasn't bad. I just wasn't blown away. But honestly the girls working there were SO RUDE that I haven't been able to go back even though I want to give it a second chance. We waited for a while to pay but they didn't come back, and so many people were waiting, we went inside to let them run our card. Well, two of them screamed at us for "crowding" the space and then yanked the card out of my husband's hand and told him to go wait outside and chastised us for not staying out until they bothered to come. lol. Sorry for trying to pay. I wish we hadn't.

It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.

The atmosphere is relaxed, but there isn't much to the decor. It was just casual.... there was brown butcher paper on top of white table cloths...kind of tacky really. It was busy, however, which added to the noise. Hubby and I both ordered the 1885 burger. Now, we are talkin'! The burger was delicious! . It was juicy and tasty. Just an all around fantastic burger. This alone is what will bring me and hubby back. The loaded baked potato was standard, but good too. It sounds like this experience wasn't great, but like I said, the burger alone is enough to go back to enjoy.
