If your a diehard TWD fan (if you don't know that abbreviation, we're not friends), this place is for you! I was staying in Chattanooga for a few days, and saw that this restaurant was owned by Darryl* (Norman Reedus) and Greg Nicotero, SX Director for TWD. When you arrive, the restaurant is HUGE. It's two-floors, but I had arrived like the last hour before closing. Near the bar, there were about 12+ people, and I'd say I and another party were the only ones in the main restaurant. If you like TWD decor, while waiting for your food --- take a walk around the restaurant. You'll see many images and props that were once part of the show, not on display for your viewing pleasure. For food, I had ordered for my appetizer the spinach & artichoke dip, which were surprisingly served with kettle chips, instead of the normal tortilla chips. It was a nice surprise, although I felt the "sauce" component was a tad to thick. Nonetheless, flavor was spot-on. For my main entree, I ordered the Coca-Cola Braised Pork Shank (only available after 4pm, $26). The dish was delicious, and the presentation was spot-on. My only critique --- put the corn on the side instead of laid-upon the shank. The flavor of the meat was so tender and although I had no taste of Coca-Cola at all, it was deeply savory and enjoyable. Totally recommend. Service was spot-on too. For the drink, it must've been good. I don't remember the name...either way, I asked the waitress to surprise me. Maybe it doesn't have name. If you're passing thru, pay Nic & Norman's a visit. There's only five (5) of these restaurants as of 2026. It's a beautiful restaurant, and it was a wonderful experience. Total 5/5. read more

The setting is nostalgic - housed in the iconic Chattanooga Choo Choo rail-house. More on this later. The food was fabulous. We had the Dip Trio as an appetizer with artichoke dip, cheese and salmon spread. All three of them seemed best on the pita bread. The chips that came with it were a little burnt tasting for our us. Both of us had the whiskey, citrus salmon. My wife had mashed potatoes and green beans while I had green beans with Cajun cream corn. All items were thoroughly enjoyed. I think burgers are the big draw at this establishment. The service was marginal. I made reservations for Valentine's Day and asked for a romantic setting. When my wife arrived, she asked for a booth. The offered a partial booth which she declined due to being very close other partial booths and they seated us in a loft area. There we no condiments on the table and they seems to forget we were up there. Water was served in a jar/glass that was a little over a pint. My wife ran out of water twice during the meal. The building could use some repairs. There was paint flaking from the ceiling which could fall on people or food. I would have dinner there again. read more

If you're a Walking Dead fan, this place is a must-visit--it's co-owned by Norman Reedus and Greg Nicotero. We ordered takeout and brought it over to Gate 11 Distillery to enjoy with our drinks. The service experience wasn't great. I stood at the host stand for about 10 minutes with no one acknowledging me. Eventually, I noticed a bag on the counter with my name on it, so I grabbed it and left, since I had already prepaid. The food itself was pretty good. Steve had a burger topped with a crab cake, I had the mushroom burger, and we shared chips with a brisket cheese dip. I had friends in town This weekend, who are big Walking Dead fans. So the one made a dinner reservation immediately- although at 4:00 on Sunday, we really didn't need a reservation. The menu has a number of burger and main entree options to pick from and everyone tried something different. We ordered pickle fries (DELICIOUS) and Philly Cheesesteak fries for the table. The waitress brought me a small dish of the cheesesteak fries without cheese so I could enjoy. I've never had this happen before. (Bonus points) my fries were also good but I did wonder if the meat was a nice grade of hamburger. Fior dinner, I ordered the surf and turf burger, which is a hamburger topped with a crabcake. I really wanted to order the crabcakes but thought this was a good substitution. Overall the burger was delicious, but I only ate half since I was so full from the appetizers I took the other half home and it warmed up very nicely. Our waitress was very friendly, helpful, and attentive. She even shared a little bit about The Walking Dead and the owners. Since we were there to celebrate a few birthdays, they provided the fourth birthday people bowl of ice cream each. One of my friends at the table also ordered the fried ribs and she raved over and over again about how delicious the ribs were. I didn't have a chance to try them, but it was something that I'd come back for to try another time. So the verdict... The food was good, but not somewhere that I would seek out again unless I'm with other Walking Dead fans. In our never ending search for the perfect burger, we chose Nic &. Norman's in the old Chattanooga Choo Choo Station. We arrived for lunch and the hostess greeted us warmly and was incredibly friendly. It was fairly quiet with few people inside due to it being after lunch hour. Being inside the old station, the fixtures and architecture make it a special place to dine. Our server Luke was kind and attentive. Husband chose to forgo the burger and get the Meatloaf Sliders with a side of Sidewinders. I chose the Mexican Burger with a side of Sidewinders. The meatloaf sliders come with mashed potatoes on top of the meatloaf in each slider. I am not a fan of meatloaf but I did take a bite and they were excellent. Full of flavor and not the least bit dry. My Mexican Burger was full of flavor and I was definitely not disappointed. The sidewinder fries were excellent as well. They have the best pickle spears! Remember them from a visit 5+ yrs ago. We should have looked for parking- was $24 to park close. I had the portobello mushroom burger and it was delicious!!! Popped in for a quick lunch on Sunday afternoon during normal weekend brunch hours. Stir on the other side of the museum was packed with a one hour wait, but Nick and Norman's was empty except for three tables and one group of women at the bar. That should've been my sign to go somewhere else, but I had already spent $6.50 on parking for an hour and a half. I sat down at the bar and the bartender was very nice and offered me a sample of a beer so I could make a decision. I ordered the salad with some grilled chicken. The chicken on my salad wasn't very flavorful and had a strange texture. Otherwise it was a basic salad you can get at any restaurant the dressing was nothing to write home about. I probably won't come back and wood instead go to stir or walk across the street next time. I'm in Chattanooga. read more

We sat for at least 10 minutes before a server finally acknowledged us--only after my wife got her attention. She apologized for the delay, and we ordered drinks and our food at that time. Another server brought out our food, but we still hadn't received our drinks. We mentioned it to her, and she promptly took care of it. The restaurant wasn't super busy. Lots of open tables. Last night's visit to Nic & Norman's was a delicious detour into comfort food with a gourmet twist. I tried their Brisket Barbecue Flatbread, and let me just say--this dish knows how to make an impression. The tender, smoky brisket paired perfectly with the sweet and tangy barbecue sauce, and the mozzarella cheese brought everything together in the most satisfying way. The flatbread had a nice crisp to it without being too crunchy, making every bite a perfect balance of texture and flavor. I sipped on their Fresh Cherry Lemonade--refreshing, slightly tart, and just the right amount of sweetness. It was the perfect pairing for the richness of the flatbread, and honestly, I could've had a pitcher. The atmosphere was casual yet lively, and the service was warm and attentive--great for a relaxed evening out. Nic and Norman's is a neat place to eat especially for those that are sci-fi and zombie fans such as myself. Nic and Norman both work in TV Shows and featured films that we all have seen and together opened up this magnificent eatery in Chattanooga. I got a Burger with the side winders and it was amazing!! Nestled in a artsy part of the city and close by some neat places. We were a solid group of twenty and they had everything organized and prepared for our group. The restaurant is huge! The ambiance is very nice, rustic! Staff was great! Restroom is shared with other businesses, as it's in like an industrial shopping center/plaza. We went into Chattanooga for an evening with some friends and decided to hit up Nic and Norman's for dinner -- we had a pretty big party and were able to snag a late night dinner reservation. The place is pretty big and I was actually surprised! Our server did a great job with our large group and made sure we had all of our drinks, appetizers and dinners timely. She split up our checks with no issue (thank goodness!) and overall we had a good experience. I had a turkey burger that was pretty good, but it was the sweet potato fries for me (!!!) Appetizers weren't bad either, but nothing super crazy. It was good food for the big group and for us being pretty hungry. Had an issue with the Guinness someone ordered - it was super flat. Truly appreciated Nic and Norman's getting us in on a Friday night with no reservation after we traveled all day. Host was sooo kind! The food: excellent! We had the meatloaf, and while it didn't look appetizing, WOW. The gravy was delicious, the meat was tender and loaded with veggies and flavor. 1/4/26 - haven't been here in a year. Luke (excellent server) brought my wife and I up to date on the menu. We ordered, Beef Tender Medallians, w/ red wine sauce reduction, mash potatoes and grilled asparagus (our favorite) shared, then from the "sharable list" Garlic herb shrimp served on toasted sundried tomato focaccia, then the Peach Cobbler dessert, Holly Molly THAT was great! The good news, ALL THE FOOD IS EXCEPTIONAL, we've had the burgers, superb, a few of the sharables which are delicious, desserts are great, but more imporantly, the consistency over the years is unparalleled. Menu has no cheese... picture is rockin cheese. Was supposed to have a special sauce....just a little bit. Burger was super dry, lukewarm and tasted horrible. 19° out and they sit you right by the door. Ceiling fans were on. I guess that is why we saw the server once for a refill. She was a ghost. Ask for extra napkins got some cocktail napkins....4 napkins. 138.55. I should of refused to pay but our son and his girlfriend was with us. Her burger was just as nasty she said. My wife said her meatloaf and potatoes was mediocre. Honestly if you sat down and watched how this place works and had an experience like ours. I would start over. I have been to this establishment a few times with my husband and we both love it! The service and atmosphere is always immaculate! My friend and I were staying at a hotel nearby during Snowmaggedon 2025 and ordered two Classic Burgers along with the Turtle Molten Bundt and an Appl Blossom. We had an issue with our desserts originally but the store manager Lauren went above and beyond to ensure we got our desserts even with the limited hours due to weather conditions. In a nutshell: Average visit. Mediocre food. Garbage drinks. Service was subpar. Our waitress kept forgetting our drinks. We tried 2 different sours. Both tasted horrible. Wife ordered a cocktail which came out (late again) near the end of our meal and was 90% tonic water. Undrinkable. I ordered a sweetwater blue (have had 1000 times) and what was brought to the table was an IPA (which, since I have tastebuds, I loathe). Other than the drinks, nothing was offensive, but neither was anything great or particularly memorable. All the food needed a touch more seasoning. The ambiance was great with live music, not too crowded and bathrooms were clean. We stayed nearby and walked so we didn't pay to park. We came here for lunch on a Friday. It's a beautiful restaurant with a great menu. I was disappointed with my portabello mushroom burger. For 17.00, I was expecting a hearty portabello cap. The weather was horrible so we parked out front of the restaurant. Four dollars an hour to park. i'm a big norman reedus fan but bro when i tell you that this being owned by norman was its only saving grace. First off, the food was mid. My mac and cheese was cold and they had barely any vegetarian MEAL options except for the norman burger. The service sucked. We had three different servers say that our server will be right with us and then the guy from the bar had to take our order. The people got seated after us got their food asap and left before us while we were stuck waiting for the check. In all my honest feedback is only come if you're a hardcore norman fan who likes seeing photos of him but keep in mind that the food isn't that good. read more

We had a bit of difficulty finding a handicapped ramp for entry but I am not shy and asked, and someone came out to show us the way.Our Waitress was absolutely excellent! We were five, and 3 of us tried some of their home brew hard cider, nice! a gluten-free menu was available, so happy no problems whatsoever with my husband's celiac disease. I really want to like this place. It's in a great location at the original Chattanooga Choo-choo depot. Their offering for Burger week was called Bat Out of Hell Smashburger. It's a meatloaf burger with mashed potatoes, gravy and fried onion straws.....another reason I to wanted this to work, I love meatloaf and mash potatoes. Unfortunately, it didn't though, and the primary driver was the overall experience, which became such a negative detractor. Unlike some of the participants where the number of guests might have temporarily overwhelmed the kitchen, the staff here just seemed disinterested, and so their guests just seemed to wait forever, just to get their burger. Over a thirty minute wait is obscene and others waited longer. It was as if you ordered the burger, you were destined to wait as other food products were being served at other tables. In all honesty I would like to award 2.5 stars, but since half stars are not an option, I graded up, based upon the location. read more
