Really fantastic, local, Country Cookin' restaurant! This is my first visit and I had one of the daily specials, which was chicken casserole. Wow, what a delicious comfort meal! Several sides to choose from: I went with the coleslaw and pinto beans, both were great. Service was awesome even considering that the place was hoppin'. Looking forward to return visit!

I knew it was good before we pulled into the parking lot- the lot was full at 9am on a Wednesday... yes! Just a little restaurant, looks family owned and operated? Good- simple, inexpensive breakfast. I ordered the 2 egg breakfast with gravy and biscuit- and it turned out to be biscuits (plural)! I added a single pancake- full plate size! Robert ordered the western omelet with gravy (your options are gravy or grits) and biscuit(s) & John got a tenderloin biscuit and a side of tots. John was the smart one. One of my biscuits was donated to the hubs. And both boys helped eat the other half of my leftover pancake. I was stuffed! The biscuits were delicious and so filling! Robert used to make biscuits at Metro Diner back home and said these were "better than mine"- lol. This little gem is 4 minutes from where we are staying and I am seriously considering returning in the morning!!! Great portions and really great prices! Add in that family feel and sweet service~ this was a wonderful way to start our day!

Stopped in for breakfast before leaving town and were very happy with our choice! Friendly service and great home cooking kind of meals. Wall decor is also good for meal time entertainment :) would definitely come back or suggest to people visiting! We were hoping to try out the cobbler as well but we were way too full to make an attempt. Next time for sure!

Country cookin like mama wanted to do. A good meat and three where you will be called Sugar or Baby. The food will be good quality and made to order served hot. Sweet tea or unsweet in my case is always fresh. That's a lot of goodness for only $10!

Friendly staff. Good country fried steak. Generous side salad. Reasonably priced. Get there before 2 pm for lunch.

I eat here regularly. Nice and friendly service, good food and they have real butter if you ask for it instead of margarine.

It's in an old Long John…read moreSilver's building with a small covered patio out front which will be great during warmer weather. Parking is plentiful and access is easy to enter the building. The interior is still decorated mostly as a Long John Silver's but it works. There are additional photos, etc. typical of Jamaica added. You order at the rear along the counter and they assemble the plate for you right away. The menu is available at the counter, and the workers are very helpful in describing the options and making suggestions. The food is placed in to-go containers even if you are dining in. We ordered the chicken and bacon pasta, jerk chicken, curried chicken, and curried goat. Sides were plantains, sauteed cabbage, and Spanish rice. The plantains were outstanding. They were cooked perfectly, with a gentle sweentess without being mushy. The sauteed cabbage was also excellent. It had a nice sourness to it that complimented the proteins very well. The Spanish rice was also good, with slightly different seasoning than Mexican rice. The jerk chicken was exceptional. The sauce was spicy without being overwhelming and the flavor exploded in the mouth. The curried chicken and goat were also very good. The curry had the slightest spiciness and a lot of flavor. One caution about the goat is be aware there may be shards of bone included. It appears they use a cleaver to cut the meat and this results in some sharp bone pieces. It's not a problem as long as you are aware. The chicken and bacon pasta was surprisingly good. It is much more than just a pasta dish with outstanding flavor and plenty of added proteins. All proteins were cooked to perfection and everything was so very good. Fi Mi Pot is a great addition to the Ft. O restaurant scene and absolutely deserves many visits.

It was really hard to decide on a rating for our experience. We were super excited to try the 1885…read moreGrill while in town. We went early in the afternoon on a weekday, so it was very quiet. It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.

They were okay, but for 5 bucks...what do you expect?‍. I would say the accompanying butter was supposed to be honey butter, but it seemed like regular butter to me! The server was polite, but I was scratching my head because she started with---"Let me go see what's not available anymore." Shouldn't she have done that before speaking to us?? The atmosphere is relaxed, but there isn't much to the decor. It was just casual.... there was brown butcher paper on top of white table cloths...kind of tacky really. It was busy, however, which added to the noise. Hubby and I both ordered the 1885 burger. Now, we are talkin'! The burger was delicious! . It was juicy and tasty. Just an all around fantastic burger. This alone is what will bring me and hubby back. The loaded baked potato was standard, but good too. It sounds like this experience wasn't great, but like I said, the burger alone is enough to go back to enjoy.
