I'm excited to write this review because mi tyad (I'm very tired) of driving to atlanta. This by far is the best of the 3 caribbean spots in the chattanooga area. I'm so impressed with their variety of vegan/plant based options. The mushrooms rundown ( that's not the name but that's what i'm calling it), was perfection. Juices and the Coconut Lemonade is a must have. Also I got to experience Jerk oxtails. It was spicy but very nice. This is definitely a dine in family friendly restaurant and is completely worth the drive, or door dash .

Curry Goat with rice and peas side of green

Curry Goat with rice and peas side of green was a 10/10.The best Jamaica food I've had in TN. They cooked with their hearts and not for the desire of sell if you know what I mean !Awesome customer service and well welcomed in ! My husband words "Felt like I'm back home eating a Sunday dinner". Big up yourself!!! Thanks Guy for giving me a bigger desire to see the Island

    Thoroughly Caribbean!

Ever since an acquaintance recommended FMP, we have had it on our bucket list. We finally had the opportunity to make the trip yesterday and we are very glad that we did. The space at FMP is friendly and thoroughly Caribbean. The proprietor is passionate about authentic Jamaican food and it shows in every morsel. His food is flavorful and spiced just right. My only suggestion is that a microwave could be accessible to the customers to keep the microwave plated food evenly heated. So if you can't get all the way to JA, make the trip to Fort O and see for yourself!

Ox tail Mac and cheese with rice and beans 10/10

Food was flavored perfectly with the right amount of spice. The Mac and cheese didn't make it home. 10/10

If your looking for flavor then this is your spot! Thank you Nick for helping us with the choices. Do yourself a favor and go inside and take your time. We had the oxtail, jerk chicken, sautéed cabbage, mashed potatoes, and coconut mushrooms. Really wish we could have tried the Mac and cheese but that will be for next time as the portions are extremely generous. There is plenty of seating and they have drive through as well. Also don't forget to try the coconut lemonade! Everything was extremely delicious can't wait to try it all!

The bathrooms are always clean, which I appreciate. Paid street parking is usually easy to find, though during busy hours it can take a little more time. The veggie fajitas are an absolute treat and full of flavor. The guacamole is fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the salsa is truly top notch. One of the most delightful surprises is that the churros are vegan, and they are unforgettable. The Papillón dish is especially meaningful. It can be made vegan and comes from the owner's grandmother's recipe in Guatemala. That personal touch really shines through and makes the menu feel inspired and unique. There used to be a young blonde male bartender who was hands down one of the best servers I have ever had. He was personable and somehow remembered both your order and your conversations even months later. That level of hospitality really stood out. Prices are not cheap, and the ingredients are not explicitly organic, but the quality, flavor, and thoughtful menu make it well worth it. Highly recommend if you are looking for consistently great food and a standout dining experience in Chattanooga.

There is tons of parking available. I asked about the chicken tenders due to other experiences with soul, food restaurants. They actually cut their chicken breast themselves and do the batter for the chicken tenders. I also got mac & cheese and cabbage with mine. They use smoked turkey no pork for their vegetables, so that was good for me. They offer sweet tea, Kool-Aid and other soft drinks. I believe I am the first review for this business. Overall good experience, good, customer service, and good food. I look forward to supporting them in the future, and hopefully having a Yelp event to bring in more business.

We visited this restaurant while in Chattanooga a few months ago. Yelp helped me find it (Kudos to…read moreYelp!) The owners were very nice and friendly and that made our visit enjoyable. I had read that they had some of the best chicken tenders ever, so that I knew I wanted to find out. On this day, they happened to be cooked a little hard. I could tell they were seasoned well and hand battered, meaning they weren't just from a frozen bag somewhere. I just wished they hadn't been cooked so long. They were kinda...tough to eat. The sides were ok...if I remembered correctly Bae and I talked about the lack of seasoning in the veggies. I understand that sometimes you can't always season veggies to everyone's liking. Some people need less, some need more. The price for two meals was a little expensive since we didn't have enough left over for a to-go box. For $40, the amount of food received wasn't what we were expecting. Oh and be prepared to wait. While there was only a few customers ahead of us, there was a long wait for our food. I think they cooked their meats to order so it wasn't a deal breaker. But waiting on the meats made the veggies be not so warm. However, I did enjoy the decor of the restaurant and the chit chat of the owners, and I want to see them successful. Hopefully they fix the kinks noted here. I would return if I'm in the area again.

FYI, this is a food truck of sorts, so check out their Facebook page to see where they're located (Thurs-Sun). I got an oxtail plate with rice, greens and yams and a beef rib plate with greens and Mac n cheese (they doused my ribs with bbq sauce before I left--mmm!). Obviously that's too much food for one person, so when I came home I ate a couple ribs and a bite of everything else. Ribs and oxtail both succulent, juicy, and well seasoned; rice was covered in oxtail gravy (as it should be); yams were very good and the perfect amount of sweet; Mac n cheese was good, but I probably won't get it again (in general, mac n cheese is too heavy for me if I'm eating red meat as well. I wanna save my stomach space for meat!); greens were also well seasoned, not too salty. Two-person operation (at least on the day I went), very nice customer service and they take very good care with your food. Cash or cashapp only. Pay 'em a visit!

(could NOT put it down) Best BBQ I've had in years... no exaggeration. Absolutely some of the best I've ever tasted. The people were VERY friendly, and definitely knew their business. Reminded me of the real Caribbean BBQ from the islands.
