The Big Biscuit Barn's country fried steak biscuit with cheese and tomato is a religious experience. Incredible service in a real southern setting.

Sausage and eggs to-go... no plate?

Good food but weird getting my food in a cup and aluminum foil. I get two scrambled eggs and 2 sausage patties everywhere I go and this is the first place that does t give the food on a plate. Also this is currently the highest price ($7.04) for this exact set of items at other places and usually cost from $4.50-$5.78. They also hit me up for a tip (at the drive thru) so total these two eggs and two sausage patties costed me $9.04. I'll be back when I hit the lottery.

Based out of a small unassuming building, the Big Biscuit Barn packs huge flavor and warm personality into their service. The food was outstanding and well worth the price. The service was kind and felt like being invited into someone's home. We will be back! Pros: Chicken biscuit outclassed every one I've ever had. Biscuits are buttery, light, and fluffy. Owner was kind and spoke to everyone in the place more than once. They have a friend bologna biscuit - wow. Cons: Small parking lot. Small seating area.

Delicious local place! Support mom and pop places like this! Great drive through convenience. We went in and ordered first then sat down. Comfortable small seating area. Biscuit sandwich with egg and bacon was so good! Lots of choices on the menu, but must have something with a biscuit!

Big Biscuit Platter... omg this looks amazing

It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.

They were okay, but for 5 bucks...what do you expect?‍. I would say the accompanying butter was supposed to be honey butter, but it seemed like regular butter to me! The server was polite, but I was scratching my head because she started with---"Let me go see what's not available anymore." Shouldn't she have done that before speaking to us?? The atmosphere is relaxed, but there isn't much to the decor. It was just casual.... there was brown butcher paper on top of white table cloths...kind of tacky really. It was busy, however, which added to the noise. Hubby and I both ordered the 1885 burger. Now, we are talkin'! The burger was delicious! . It was juicy and tasty. Just an all around fantastic burger. This alone is what will bring me and hubby back. The loaded baked potato was standard, but good too. It sounds like this experience wasn't great, but like I said, the burger alone is enough to go back to enjoy.

The only reason for a one star review is because I couldn't give zero stars, and our server redeemed the one star because she was awesome. However, her awesomeness could not overcome the overwhelming disappointment that this place is. First off it's not Mexican food, it's garbage. I'm going to post a photo of a so-called Chile Relleno. It was utter filth and a complete insult to Mexican cuisine everywhere. It was so terrible that it didn't even come close. I'm not talking about a bad chili relleno, I'm talking about something so disgusting that I almost got it from the table and walked out without paying - but I paid for the swill that was prepared. Then there are the frijoles! I mean seriously I've had better stuff out of a tin, and I'm not even kidding about that! Cold, flavorless, and not even completely cooked. It's like nobody in that kitchen had ever even heard of Mexico. Sadly for them they had a diner last evening that has not only heard of it, but has been there. I lived in El Paso Texas for a number of years and I've gotten used to disappointing Mexican food ever since leaving there. But this restaurant takes the cake by far. The sad part is that just down the street there is authentic Mexican food prepared correctly, a number of real Mexican restaurants. There is some nostalgia to this place because it's located in the old Peerless mill which dates back to before World War II, but the nostalgia doesn't make up for bad food. If you own this restaurant and are reading this review, shame on you for defrauding your customers! Good honest, hard-working people come into your restaurant expecting at least a decent attempt at Mexican food, this wasn't even close!

It's located next to the apocalyptic abandoned Peerless Mill. It would make a great album cover! The place was hopping and everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals. My family had a little of everything. I really enjoyed the chimichanga with the vegetables. The guacamole dip was amazing too! You get a lot of food for the price and it is flavorful, fresh, and reasonably priced. I wouldn't call it the most authentic but it's really good. The service was friendly but a bit slow. I would definitely go back if I lived there.
