Everything is prepared with care every time we've been. We went early, and the line was surprisingly shorter than the last time we were there, which was around the corner the aesthetic both inside and out is charming. Staff is very friendly and happy to help you make a selection. This occasion we had their proper breakfast meals, but in the past, we've had their pastries, such as croissants, muffins, and cinnamon mine. All which have been outstanding. Definitely one of the better bakeries in the city

Stopped in on a weekday afternoon while visiting Chattanooga. As mentioned in my Honey Seed review, I learned that I am not a fan of Montreal bagels, but I think I liked this one a little more than the other. I also got a chocolate croissant, which was yummy. I was a little concerned when I couldn't find the chocolate inside, but it was there!! My gf got a gingerbread cookie, which smelled so strongly but she said didn't have a strong taste. We also got a loaf of sourdough bread, which was good but maybe not as sourdough-y as we were hoping for. It was pretty crowded but the employee who helped us was very nice. We just got the items to go but there's a nice little seating area and patio.

A great spot for breakfast. They have a great selection of sandwiches and skillets, as well as really cool pastries that I'd recommend trying. The outdoor area is very nice, just make sure you get there early as the line was out the door!

One of the best Bakeries I've ever been too! had the Almond Croissant, Ham & Gruyère skillet and Cappuccino. Best Breakfast of the year!

Always a must stop on trips through Chattanooga (note: closed Sundays!) They have pizza on Fridays but the real gems are the baked goods. Saffron croissants, yes please! The raspberry croissants and scones are delicious. The seeded bread reminds me of my favourite German bakeries. So so good!

Niedlov's is such a great spot in Chattanooga! The space is cozy inside with lots of light and has an outdoor patio as well. It gets very busy (it's popular because it's so good!) and there's often a line, but at off hours, there's often seats. Here are some of my faves: Apple caramel danish (seasonal): amazing! Whipped cream and caramel on top, stuffed with apples and apple cream cheese inside Raspberry pistachio scone: perfect balance of pistachios and raspberry (to me, that means heavy on the pistachios!) Very natural flavors with big pieces of pistachio within the scone. Gruyere bacon chive scone: buttery, savory, delicious Pistachio stick: laminated pastry, light with a pistachio frangipane and cream inside Cruffin: I tried the cookies & cream one--moister than others I've had and delightful. They change the flavor every week, I think. Brussels sprouts: This became a regular lunch for me (bacon, Brussels sprouts, ranch); tossing it in ranch dressing is genius English muffins: So plush and fluffy! Soaks up butter really well. Delightful! Miso kale and shiitake skillet- delicious, savory, and cheesy! Loved it--great depth of flavor The sourdough bread is also great! The Friday night pizza was delicious as well, although quite oily. Honestly, you can't go wrong with the menu here--I only wish I'd tried even more things. Staff can be very friendly and generous, and they have a shelf with half-price breads as well as a pastry happy hour. This spot is truly a gem!

Absolutely loved this cafe to bits! It had been on my list for a while now and I finally got a chance to visit. There was a wait because it was a weekend but it wasn't too bad. I ordered the seeded sourdough, a sourdough sandwich, chai, a cookie (whose name I'm forgetting) sweet and savory scones. Everything was was crazy delicious! I'm not even a sandwich person and I thoroughly enjoyed it, even wanting seconds lol. The chai was so refreshing. The scones were indescribably flavorful. I could literally visit this bakery everyday if I lived closer. Worth the journey and a revisit!

My daughter and I visited Niedlov's on our final day in Chattanooga. It was walking distance from our hotel "The Choo Choo Chalet". I was a little nervous that the line out the door was going to take forever, but it moved pretty fast. They had a a wide range of bakery items, breakfast foods, and coffee. My daughter and I both ordered specialty coffees, shared an egg breakfast sandwich, and took home some cookies. Everything was delicious! They have a cozy patio area with a small fire pit. We enjoyed sitting outside, even though it was a little chilly.

Almond croissant, chocolate croissant, banana monkey bread
Amanda C.

Was really looking forward to trying this spot as there was a line out the door on a Saturday afternoon. There were still some pastries left. I got the last banana monkey bread, almond croissant, and chocolate croissant. Croissants are soft and easy to bite into...if you like those kinds of croissants (my husband). I prefer crispy outsides and more filling - there could definitely be more almond paste and the chocolate batons were only on the left side if the chocolate croissant - wished it was even/there was another baton on the left side. Texture of croissants reminded me of the texture of Costco croissants rather than from a french bakery. The banana monkey bread was good, but didn't get any banana or cinnamon flavor. Maybe their bread is better? I think they are known for that.

This place was right by our hostel and so so so good, any of the pastries (if they're left) are amazing. Definitely come early. The drip coffee was okay, splurge on something better.

They have solid pastries and breakfast items. The scones were the highlight of our brunch. The lavender blueberry scone was a beautiful blend and pairing that worked well. It was one of the best scones I've had. It was our favorite out of the two cookies and the cinnamon roll. The breakfast foods like the egg croissant was flakey and buttery. It had a nice crispy crunch and a soft chewy inside. It was definitely a good croissant but not the best.

No better spot to loaf around. =)

Go here. Eat here. The bread is well worth the trip. You can catch the aroma before walking in. The ready made sandwiches are a plus. The baked pastries make you feel glad that you were born. The herbal teas--our favorites--will keep you humming the rest of the day. The vibe is top notch. A lot of Chattanooga's energy is right on Main and Market, but the cerebral cortex is at Niedlov's. Keep in mind that the kitchen shuts down by 3 pm and when the goods are gone, they are g-o-n-e. So if it is a busy afternoon, you might be out of luck for supper. Plan to pop in! You read it here!!

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

Please take this review with a grain of salt. Today was probably not an exemplary day for Milk &…read moreHoney. Mother's Days are challenging, but I think where they hurt themselves the most is that they do not have a method to take reservations or even call ahead seating. Wait times were often in excess of an hour listening to other people waiting to be seated. That's a horrible experience on its face, and the management of this restaurant needs to do much much better or just close on Mother's Day. Next, we'll get to the food. I doubt it was a shining example of what they are capable of. I got the Shakshuka and it was mediocre. I'm not expecting it to be as good as what I would get in Tel Aviv, and I've had the real thing in Tel Aviv. But to be honest, the eggs came out nearly hard-boiled not poached. And the eggs are one of the stars of the show for this dish. If you don't get them right, the entire dish fails. Next will touch on the chicken and waffles. The observation from my tablemate was that it was dry and he didn't even eat it all. The same thing can be said for my other tablemate who had the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was exemplary, but the chicken was dry and actually overcooked. Then there were the omelettes, I don't believe they were impressive in any way and the people that ordered them agree. For those of us at the table that ordered coffee, it was rather strong. I normally like strong coffee, but this was borderline Turkish coffee, and there wasn't enough cream available to mask the potency. The service was also stretched thin. Our server, Destiny, did her best, but she was waiting too many tables. Having once been a waitermyself I have a special affinity for Service staff who are asked to do too much. We left her a good tip, but I'm sure she is capable of much better service than what she was allowed to deliver. Finally, the overwhelming crowd made the restaurant feel claustrophobic. The noise level was far too high, and we could barely hear one another at our table and we were sitting very close to one another. I don't place the blame on the kitchen, staff, or the wait staff, or even the greeters. This was a fail of management, plain and simple. They made no contingency plans for that many people and should have anticipated a larger crowd on Mother's Day. Management -I challenge you to do better!!! We will come back during a normal Service day to see if you can perform better, but I encourage you, as owners and managers, to stop setting your staff up for failure, which is what you did!

The biscuit was very good and there was a big piece of egg and lots of cheese. I'll admit I burnt my mouth eating it too fast. I thought the price was high but comparable to costs these days and yummy enough to be worth it. It also took quite awhile to be made. I got the Self Portrait, which was delicious and worth the visit by itself. Just the right amount of sweetness. My gf got the St. Tropez pastry, which she didn't love. She said the cream inside was cold and disappointing. I ended up stopping back in after going to the art museum because I really wanted to try a croissant (I meant to order it for my breakfast sandwich, but apparently my brain was on biscuit). It was VERY crowded and the line moved slowly. They were telling people ahead of me that it would be 30+ minutes for anything from the kitchen. The croissant was good, nothing special though.
