Everything you would expect from a coffee shop, biggest bonus was how nice everyone was. Small shop but they make you want to hang out. Delicious!!

Absolutely gorgeous location! I got their strawberries and cream matcha which was delicious! The cafe is across the hall from the seating area. Lots of windows and plants for great vibes(: service was amazing!

I decided I wanted to spend a little extra time in Chattanooga before I headed home after a continuing ed opportunity. I wanted a coffee and a treat to take on a walk by the river. After a little googling, I settled on Sleepyhead. It was a good choice! This little coffeeshop is inside the James Building. Truth be told, idk what else goes on inside the James Building, but the shop itself is on the left as you enter the front entrance. It's very small and there's only a couple of stools to sit on so it's mostly a grab and go operation, but wow is it adorable inside! I loved the welcoming, dreamy, upbeat vibes, as well as all the plants and the soft neon. One interesting thing on the menu is a couple CBD-infused drinks. Talk about sleepyhead! ;) I'd not seen that before but the concept is intriguing! Employees were super friendly and guided me in the direction of their sweeter current speciality lattes. They said one of the fruitier ones (raspberry? Strawberry? Can't remember) was the sweetest, but I don't like fruity coffee so I chose the pistachio latte instead. They made it for me quickly. I couldn't help but grab a donut and a sticker to commemorate my visit. All their food is vegan here and some of it is gluten free. I can't remember if my donut was GF or not, but I DO remember it being delicious. The icing on top wasn't gritty at all nor was it over sweet. The cake itself was a little bit dense but it kind of worked? I much prefer a cakey donut to an airy one so this was a winner for me! I can't remember if it was chai, Apple cider, or both, but it was definitely a spice cake and super yummy with my coffee. The coffee was tasty and VERY strongly pistachio, which I for one was all about! I love the nutty, slightly sweet, vanilla-y flavor. In a perfect world I like my drinks a little sweeter, but as I said, it's partly on me because the employees did tell me. Still, I enjoyed it very thoroughly and would definitely return. I'll enjoy my sweet sleepyhead cat sticker and think back on this visit fondly!

This is a nice cafe while traveling to Tennessee which is very near to the highway so the detour takes just 6-8 mins. They have board games and cards for kids aged 5 plus to play. Ambience is cozy. They have breakfast items and coffee plus in desserts they have different donuts

In a super cute building. Very nice and relaxing sitting areas. Super yummy drinks. Coffees, teas, non-coffe drinks, Kombuchas, etc. Had a CBD peppermint latte, good for the soul, mind, and body. Beet root powder, ginger, and milk very very delicious. The service was friendly and informative about the drinks and products.

Great coffee spot in Chattanooga with a very cute seating area! They make their syrups in house and the coffee is very smooth and well balanced. I got a cereal milk latte, half sweet and my friend got a raspberry mocha, half sweet. The raspberry mocha was a little bit on the sweeter side, even with getting it less sweet, so keep that in mind. The cereal milk syrup was quite pleasant! If I'm in Chattanooga again, I will definitely be back to try more flavors. The staff was also very nice and helpful.

Iced Lavender Latte + oat milk

I've been wanting to come here for YEARS, but the timing never panned out. However my friend and I finally got the chance to swing by. I ordered the Iced Lavender Latte with oat milk and my friend got the Iced Peppermint Mocha. I've heard great things about this place, and once I had my first sip of my drink I knew why. My latte was just outstanding. My drink was flowery, it had the perfect amount of lavender syrup. The espresso and oat milk blended together so smoothly, and the sweetness level was exactly how I like my drinks to be. I have no complaints about this drink, it's my standard latte reference now. My only complaint is that I finished this drink too quickly because it was that good. This place is very cute. The coffee shop is in a small space inside, and there's another space across with more seating. Service was great, they were very friendly. I loved the greenery all around the space and decor. It had such a cool vibe. I love how they redid the space in a historic building. The soft pink theme and lush green plants make a cute combination and overall theme. I look forward to coming back here again and I'll recommend this place to anyone.

We got to this spot every time we are in Chattanooga. It is apart of a historical building and has a cool spot to order, and a separate space to enjoy your drink and treat. The space is filled with beautiful plants, and different options to sit (comfy chairs, tables, and bar in front of the window). This place has a wonderful chai latte (hot or cold) and other great coffee options. Service is always an easy and friendly experience.

Chai latte hot

Quick coffee stop before we started our adventure towards the mountain. Chai was okay, and my mom liked her hot coffee. Not a huge selection, but perfect to cover the bases. I would like to try a different place next time I want coffee. Service was quick, it's just a small place inside but there was seating in the next space over across the hall.

Sweet treat display

This coffee shop was definitely picture-perfect. They have two sides--one where you order and one where you sit. The staff was okay--not exactly friendly, but not rude either. The whole place is done in pastels with cute bakery items on display. An instagrammable spot! We got two coffees: a cold brew and a hot latte. The flavor was unique, and the coffee was mild--not super strong. I got a strawberry doughnut (they didn't put much care into packing it - see picture), and after one bite, I immediately felt like they needed to rename it-- it was super dense and crumbly, more like cake than a light, airy donut. Still really delicious. They should just call it a "cake hole." It was worth checking out and overall not a bad experience, but probably not a place I'd go back to.

Breakfast sandwich

Tried this restaurant while in Chattanooga for the weekend. Saw they had vegan food for breakfast and gave it a try via Uber eats. The breakfast sandwich on the everything bagel was very good. The only critique I have is that the bagel could've been a bit softer as it was extremely crispy (over toasted). The strawberry donut was amazing as a whole. The strawberry icing really made a huge difference! Without the icing, the donut alone had a bitter aftertaste which might be due to too much baking soda, not sure. The cold brew coffee w/ soy milk was decent and kept me alert for the day so no complaints. Overall, glad I found a spot with vegan food and for the breakfast sandwich alone, I'd visit again.

Donuts and coffee are amazing! You know it's serious when the baristas are actually measuring out the beans. Their beans are great too, one of my faves in Chattanooga.

Mugs are not an option here, so I won't take off on that. This is a small store with very limited seating so I suspect this will impact the ability of TT to become the hangout that some of their competitors have, which I believe will also impact the customer type they will attract.

This place is right off the main roadway in downtown Chattanooga, making it super easy to stop in if you're exploring all the attractions around it. It is small with limited seating, which looked to be filled with regulars/climbers, so be ready to take the drink to go. My caramel latte was a bit in the pricier side, but it was amazing! The whole milk added a good richness to the drink, and you could tell it was a real caramel sauce they used, not some cheap syrup. On top of all that, the flavors were still balanced enough that you could taste the espresso. I cannot vouch for the food here, but if I came back to visit this town, this coffee shop would be one of my first stops.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

Please take this review with a grain of salt. Today was probably not an exemplary day for Milk &…read moreHoney. Mother's Days are challenging, but I think where they hurt themselves the most is that they do not have a method to take reservations or even call ahead seating. Wait times were often in excess of an hour listening to other people waiting to be seated. That's a horrible experience on its face, and the management of this restaurant needs to do much much better or just close on Mother's Day. Next, we'll get to the food. I doubt it was a shining example of what they are capable of. I got the Shakshuka and it was mediocre. I'm not expecting it to be as good as what I would get in Tel Aviv, and I've had the real thing in Tel Aviv. But to be honest, the eggs came out nearly hard-boiled not poached. And the eggs are one of the stars of the show for this dish. If you don't get them right, the entire dish fails. Next will touch on the chicken and waffles. The observation from my tablemate was that it was dry and he didn't even eat it all. The same thing can be said for my other tablemate who had the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was exemplary, but the chicken was dry and actually overcooked. Then there were the omelettes, I don't believe they were impressive in any way and the people that ordered them agree. For those of us at the table that ordered coffee, it was rather strong. I normally like strong coffee, but this was borderline Turkish coffee, and there wasn't enough cream available to mask the potency. The service was also stretched thin. Our server, Destiny, did her best, but she was waiting too many tables. Having once been a waitermyself I have a special affinity for Service staff who are asked to do too much. We left her a good tip, but I'm sure she is capable of much better service than what she was allowed to deliver. Finally, the overwhelming crowd made the restaurant feel claustrophobic. The noise level was far too high, and we could barely hear one another at our table and we were sitting very close to one another. I don't place the blame on the kitchen, staff, or the wait staff, or even the greeters. This was a fail of management, plain and simple. They made no contingency plans for that many people and should have anticipated a larger crowd on Mother's Day. Management -I challenge you to do better!!! We will come back during a normal Service day to see if you can perform better, but I encourage you, as owners and managers, to stop setting your staff up for failure, which is what you did!
