We had a party of four and a couple behind us. It took awhile to get our food and drinks, because there was only one person there. The tables and couches seemed clean and they had pitchers of water at the table with glasses and thank goodness because I was the last to get either of my drinks. I don't fault the poor lady, who had to make drinks, food, and run them to the table. There was a spill near our table that hadn't been cleaned up, but with one employee I don't blame her. The food was cold in the middle so I don't recommend the crossiants. I would go back for the drinks and the orange bread, but it's definitely a long wait and mediocre food, especially for that price.

So, this will be my last coffee shop visit before Thanksgiving. A really nice location tied with the Asheville Dispensary. The Barista was delightful as I looked to her for some input on their seasonal coffees. I went with the Pumpkin Butterscotch Latte, great choice, ended up going back for a second selection, the Carmel Latte. Yea!!! My lattes were in actual mugs. My first latte was not quite as hot as I like it, but the barista fixed that for me. Overall, just a really nice vibe in this store

This place is such a vibe. I love to come down here and work and study, the coffee is some of the best around with all healthy ingredients and every alternative milk you can think of. Beverages are never overly sweet, but just a hint of sweetness which is how I like them--never punched in the face with sugar. Everyone's attitude is beautiful and helpful--it's an absolute treat to frequent this place.

The smell alone deserves its own Michelin star. I'm pretty sure I gained 3 pounds just inhaling. The cupcakes? Fluffy little clouds of joy. The frosting? So smooth it could negotiate world peace. The staff? Friendly enough to convince you that an extra cupcake is a responsible life choice--honestly, they're not wrong. My personal favorite was the cookies and cream, which tasted like it was handcrafted by cheerful woodland creatures with perfect credit scores. I would like this cupcake at my birthday, my wedding, and my funeral. In conclusion: Cupcake Kitchen is dangerous... in a "I suddenly understand why people write poetry about dessert" kind of way. Highly recommend. Will be returning. Probably tomorrow. Maybe tonight.

There were a lot of options as far as flavors, sizes, toppings, etc. I stuck with a 12 oz white hot chocolate with whipped cream. Now the white hot chocolate was fantastic. It was real white chocolate and it was a nice bit of sweetness. But the cheesecake was unfortunately disappointing. I don't know if it was over baked or over beaten or what but it had a rubbery jello like texture that's not appealing in the mouth when expecting something different. I could only have two bites before giving up on the $9 slice. I'm torn on this review. And this is because I was so excited and hopeful to try the cute hot chocolate place with desserts that I wanted to love it. But was so disappointed with my dessert. The hot chocolate was fantastic and that being their key thing is what I would try again. But I'd probably never reorder a baked dessert from them as they are not necessarily cheap and I wouldn't want to be disappointed when there are other treat options around the area. The space itself is mountainy fun candy cottage vibe. Serves the purpose of having somewhere to enjoy the treats you've ordered inside.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

Please take this review with a grain of salt. Today was probably not an exemplary day for Milk &…read moreHoney. Mother's Days are challenging, but I think where they hurt themselves the most is that they do not have a method to take reservations or even call ahead seating. Wait times were often in excess of an hour listening to other people waiting to be seated. That's a horrible experience on its face, and the management of this restaurant needs to do much much better or just close on Mother's Day. Next, we'll get to the food. I doubt it was a shining example of what they are capable of. I got the Shakshuka and it was mediocre. I'm not expecting it to be as good as what I would get in Tel Aviv, and I've had the real thing in Tel Aviv. But to be honest, the eggs came out nearly hard-boiled not poached. And the eggs are one of the stars of the show for this dish. If you don't get them right, the entire dish fails. Next will touch on the chicken and waffles. The observation from my tablemate was that it was dry and he didn't even eat it all. The same thing can be said for my other tablemate who had the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was exemplary, but the chicken was dry and actually overcooked. Then there were the omelettes, I don't believe they were impressive in any way and the people that ordered them agree. For those of us at the table that ordered coffee, it was rather strong. I normally like strong coffee, but this was borderline Turkish coffee, and there wasn't enough cream available to mask the potency. The service was also stretched thin. Our server, Destiny, did her best, but she was waiting too many tables. Having once been a waitermyself I have a special affinity for Service staff who are asked to do too much. We left her a good tip, but I'm sure she is capable of much better service than what she was allowed to deliver. Finally, the overwhelming crowd made the restaurant feel claustrophobic. The noise level was far too high, and we could barely hear one another at our table and we were sitting very close to one another. I don't place the blame on the kitchen, staff, or the wait staff, or even the greeters. This was a fail of management, plain and simple. They made no contingency plans for that many people and should have anticipated a larger crowd on Mother's Day. Management -I challenge you to do better!!! We will come back during a normal Service day to see if you can perform better, but I encourage you, as owners and managers, to stop setting your staff up for failure, which is what you did!

The vibe is relaxed and social, great patio energy, easy place to hang out with friends, and it feels lively without being overwhelming. The food was solid. Tasty, well prepared, good portions, but nothing that blew me away or felt dramatically different from other brunch spots I've tried. That said, the pricing felt fair. I had the breakfast sandwich and my wife had the Mexican Omelette. The Bloody Mary was actually really good, balanced and flavorful. I was a little surprised they didn't have any stuffed olives (my go-to garnish), and the server wasn't familiar with them, which caught me off guard. Not a big deal, just unexpected. The only real hiccup was at the end. Our ticket got mixed up and I tried having the server correct it. He said he would at the computer, he took our cards and I get a receipt where my card was charged on another ticket. So I ended up paying for someone else's food. It wasn't intentional and these things happen, but it was a frustrating way to wrap up the meal. Overall, I'd come back. Good atmosphere, fair prices, solid food. It's not a "must plan your whole weekend around it" spot for me, but it's a dependable option if you're in the area.
