I came in one morning for a coffee and pastry last month while staying nearby. I had seen photos of the inside and the deck and this looked like a charming coffee shop. They were out of muffins when I stopped in, around 10am so that was disappointing. I didn't end up with any pastry to go with my coffee bc they didn't seem to have anything else available that day for some reason. The coffee was strong and good. I ended up doing an iced oat milk latte - no syrup. I spent a bit of time chatting with the friendly barista and then headed upstairs to take in the view The restroom was somewhat small and nasty in comparison to the rest of the decor and looked like it could use some TLC. read more

Great local coffee spot with some tasty eats. Fun vibe with multiple seating options. Couch up front. Tables and chairs inside with great AC and a super cute wood deck patio with shade coverings. Orders medium and dark roast coffees and a cappuccino. Hot and delicious. They put half and half in for you. I wish they had jugs so it would be self service but loved the extra service. Also orders the eggle on an everything bagel with bacon. Was delicious and while they are counter service, she ended up bringing out to my table before I noticed her calling out order. This Northshore cafe is right on the river which you can readily see from the second floor, making for a nice setting. The shop is a bit dated compared to some of the other cafes around town. Friendly staff, my latte was excellent and I will return, that Tennessee River can be rather soothing. read more

This place is SO CUTE! If i lived here i would come here all the time. The downstairs deck, the upstairs loft overlooking the river with sprawling daylight and comfy couches/workspaces, you can work from here or just come in to enjoy some food/coffee and board games. Lily was the most friendly barista, she was short staffed and still made us bagels despite the kitchen not being open until additional help arrived. The barista was super helpful and actually asked follow-up questions to make sure she got my order right. Good spot with a great location next to the pedestrian bridge in Chattanooga. Stone Cup has a laid-back interior with plenty of seating in and outside. You order at the counter and have to come back up to get your drinks/food once it's ready. On a Sunday morning, it was fairly busy, but our food & drinks came out pretty quickly. I got a bagel sandwich with eggs, pepper jack cheese, and turkey - I made it spicy, so got hot sauce on the side. I didn't think the sandwich was that great, and it was also supposed to come with a tomato, but they forgot it, which was a bummer. I also ordered an iced matcha latte with almond milk, which was great. Overall, good place, but I'd like to come back to try something different to hopefully give 5 stars next time! read more

I used to get avocado toast from here a lot, like in 2021ish kind of time I guess and it was really good! A lot of avocado, seemed like it was fresh. My partner and I got it again for the first time in years and I was really disappointed. I'm not sure if they have a new protocol or what but the toast we received barely had any avocado on it. It was like someone took one of those little snack cups from Aldi and spread it on the toast as thin as they could. We got 2 avo toasts, a black coffee, and left a tip and it was $24... shoulda just went to Aldi. Would have been worth the price had there been more. read more

My favorite place on the north shore! Ok probably the best coffee shop in Chatt for me! Food is always fresh and so good. Baked goods have never been a miss. Avo toast or the Garden bagel with their homemade balsamic on the side are my go to meals. But I have had lunch and breakfast sandwiches as well. Have never missed! Drinks are always spot on too and I love when they have the local kombucha. Great service and atmosphere. Always friendly and helpful. Have ordered over the phone and my orders are always waiting on me! Would be there every day if I didn't work full time! Have met some incredible people there. I had such an amazing time visiting this location. Met a friend for a sunrise walk and as we were coming over the bridge we spotted this spot. It was chilly and we needed to warm up. We went in and the people were very friendly. The woman handed us the menus for food and drinks. I got a chai latte with a bagel sandwich with Turkey, egg, and cheese. There were places to sit indoors and outdoors. The drink was really good. I love a good chai latte and this one had a great flavor. The bagel sandwich was really tasty and filling. I only ate half while there and the other half later. Love the view as we finished watching the sun come up. It's very convenient to other stores and restaurants. The walking bridge is right there. Tons of parking in the back. I would definitely come back to grab items and support. They seemed very community and arts supportive so that was a plus as well. read more

The food we ordered was the avacado toast which was great but you only get once slice of bread for ten bucks, it should at least be two. The breakfast burrito tasted like a frozen breakfast burrito, and I had to take the sausage out of the burrito because it wasn't good. I got the iced matcha and they didn't even stir it in well, all of it clumped at the bottom, and I told the barista and stirred the matcha and it went back to what it was in a minute lol, and she was rude when I asked her to remake it or shake it. The London fog was the same quality I would have made at home lol. The best thing about the place is its location. read more

AHHHHH I love you, guys. 10/10 would recommend but I won't because I'm selfish and don't want your seats to become more overcrowded than they already are! So many positives I could list but here are a few: *the art!! Beautifully decorated from artists in the area and local galleries. *coffee is delicious. (A bit pricey, but for their own brew & ground- so give or take) *a fantastic view of the Chattanooga Walnut Bridge. The second floor is my second home for studying and friend dates on lazy Sunday afternoons. *the friendliest staff. Even their handwritten notes on the syrup bar show you how important the staffs interactions are with each customer. The only real drawback I think would be parking. There are spots behind the building, but it's shared with the Subway next door and there's only like six so. Parking is usually harder in the Coolidge area anyways. Just order the avocado toast, add an over easy egg on top of it, and sit back and prepare for Nirvana (the state of mind, not the music group). It is the best breakfast preparation I can recall having in years. My wife had the scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese, said it was delicious, though more than enough for 2 people. It's the perfect healthy snack. This is also a wonderful place to relax for a while (there are couches upstairs and downstairs), meet with friends or get some work done. You may have to pay for parking in the lot behind the coffee shop (it isn't expensive) and with all the cool stuff nearby you'll want to spend some time walking around and checking out shops anyway! Stone Cup Cafe is a nice little cafe in Chattanooga's hip and revitalized Northshore district. Some of my Atlanta friends are fans of this place. It's close to the river. Out on the back patio, there's a terrific southward facing view of the Tennessee River and the nearby Walnut Street Bridge (supposedly, the world's longest pedestrian bridge at 0.45 miles). The cafe is small and independently run. It's got a lot of cool artwork which is for sale. When we visited, I saw some neat and colorful Dragon Ball Z and comic book superhero paintings on the wall. There are two levels. Both levels have seating areas. The lower (street) level is where the patio is located. In additional to standard tables and chairs, the upper level has a mini living room type space with a sofa and a couple armchairs. There's free Wi-Fi and plenty of power outlets. This is a popular place. Not a single seat was available during our Sunday afternoon visit. There appeared to be a lot of students with their laptops and books out studying. The cafe serves breakfast and lunch (sandwiches, salads) along with a variety of tea, fresh-roasted specialty coffees, and smoothies made with coffee or fruit. They offer French press and pour over coffee as well as coffee beans by the pound. Sometimes at night, they have live music (including open mic nights) and kegs. They also regularly serve beer like PBR and Red Stripe. Examples of their specialty drinks include a butterscotch latte, coconut mocha, Cubano, and a raspberry mocha. All drinks appear to come in one size only. I had a mocha blanca ($4.20 for 12 ounces) which is made with espresso, Ghirardelli white chocolate (presumably flavored powder), and steamed milk. It was hot, sweet, and hit the spot; a nice boost for the afternoon. Service was good. The staff was friendly. Payments are handled over tablet via Square. Apple and Android Pay accepted. read more

Overlooking the Walnut Street Bridge and river, an upstairs corner is the perfect spot to contemplate life over a really good cup of chai. I can also grab a copy of the Pulse here, Chattanooga's weekly free paper, to read up on all the truly unique things happening in this town. This was our last stop of the day, grabbing a drink before we hit the road. Cool vibe when you come in with some trendy artwork on display on the walls. Great views out on the city from the inner dining area or the outside deck. Limited accessibility with all the Covid stuff going on though. I had one of their smoothies (not on the menu) and it definitely had a healthy taste to it ... not normal with the ingredients by any means. If I lived in the area I'd come try them out for breakfast with a variety of bagels (add ons can be had as well, think eggs and meats, etc). Staff was friendly, but they were kind of crowded when we got there so it took about 15 min to get our order in and drinks in hand. The sofa has seen better days and the blue velvet chairs could use a cleaning as did the floor. Parking is tricky so you might need to walk a couple blocks as we did. My friend and I road our time share bikes across the Walnut Street bridge from downtown, rode around Coolidge Park and we were looking for a place for breakfast. I was intrigued that they had a hot chocolate called the Dalmatian (although it was spelled incorrectly on the menu (I may have messed with the chalk board on the way out)) - half white half dark hot chocolate... YES! It was cold and rainy outside and it sounded like the perfect pick me up. Fail. It tasted like chocolate flavored water - not at all creamy and chocolately. So disappointing. I will say that the staff was friendly and the place was cool (and super packed). Tons of people with laptops taking up all the seats - we were finally able to grab a small table up front for us to squeeze into.
