    Italian sandwich

Gosh. Loved everything about this spot. The vibe is great, enjoyed chatting with counter staff while I waited for my order. My sandwich that I got to go was so good that I ended up just eating the whole thing in the car and licking the paper. Conveniently located. Can't wait to go back. High fives all around.

I have visited Chattanooga many times over the years, so I always love finding a new local place to try out. We stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning, and had a great experience. It was crowded and a little difficult to find a seat, but that just means it's a popular place. The staff was really kind and helpful in trying to decide what to order. The egg a bagel sandwich was very tasty, but I was most pleased with the maple latte. I wish I had gotten two of them. I'll definitely be back. The only thing I disliked was that the bagels were a little tough and hard to cut/bite. They had a great flavor, but the texture was a little tough.

I first tried Hungry Mother at Fifty Fifty Wine and Martini Bar's Galentine's Day event and let me tell you.. I was so excited for their brick and mortar to open and it didn't disappoint. Go early since they only make so much of everything daily but the

Small space but BIG flavor!!! I don't know who thought of the ingredient pairings on the apple butter bagel, but they are a genius. The food was amazing and the ingredients were so fresh. The kitchen is somewhat open, so you can see everything being made freshly. The bagels were crispy on the outside but pillowy soft on the inside. I regret not trying this place sooner. My friend let me try her trout bagel and that was also absolutely incredible! No notes and will definitely be back. Also, the staff was super friendly and warm!

We tried Hungry Mother for the first time today and it was great! The service was super nice and gave helpful recommendations. The patio was nice and decor inside fit the vibe perfectly.

Stopped for lunch in the way through Chattanooga. SOOO glad we found this place. Everything was excellent - fresh tasty food, yummy home made apple soda, very friendly and helpful staff.

I love small establishments like this that are run by the visionaries and founders. You can tell the team is living their dream, and the food and drinks reflect their lofty aspirations and overall positive attitude.

One time my parents and I came here after dinner for their gelato, and it was so delicious. We were all very impressed with the consistency and how smooth it was. So I've only had their gelato after all these years. This time I came for brunch with a friend on Sunday morning. It was packed and we got on the waiting list for a table. Wait time wasn't too bad actually. My friend and I both ordered the Hodgepodge Hash and I subbed the sausage for chicken sausage. Everything was absolutely amazing. I wish I had come here sooner. I loved everything about my meal. It was flavorful, dynamic, full of texture. It had that spice from the serrano peppers, crispy and flavorful potatoes, and the sauce tied it all together. I love savory breakfast, and that was it. Now I'm hungry and missing my previous meal just writing about it haha. Afterwards, we got gelato! I was pleasantly surprised that the gelato came with two scoops because I originally just wanted the coffee flavored one. So I had a scoop of Coffee + Cream and Pistachio. Our gelato was so tasty. I love anything coffee so this one was good, and the Pistachio one was nice and light. It had a subtle Pistachio creamy taste. Just as before, the gelato was smooth, creamy, and full of flavor. Service was great, our waiter was very friendly and super helpful with our food preferences. I have no complaints at all about our experience, and I love every single thing we ordered. I can't imagine a better place to spend Sunday brunch. I look forward to the next time I'm back, thank you!

Please take this review with a grain of salt. Today was probably not an exemplary day for Milk &…read moreHoney. Mother's Days are challenging, but I think where they hurt themselves the most is that they do not have a method to take reservations or even call ahead seating. Wait times were often in excess of an hour listening to other people waiting to be seated. That's a horrible experience on its face, and the management of this restaurant needs to do much much better or just close on Mother's Day. Next, we'll get to the food. I doubt it was a shining example of what they are capable of. I got the Shakshuka and it was mediocre. I'm not expecting it to be as good as what I would get in Tel Aviv, and I've had the real thing in Tel Aviv. But to be honest, the eggs came out nearly hard-boiled not poached. And the eggs are one of the stars of the show for this dish. If you don't get them right, the entire dish fails. Next will touch on the chicken and waffles. The observation from my tablemate was that it was dry and he didn't even eat it all. The same thing can be said for my other tablemate who had the chicken biscuit. The biscuit was exemplary, but the chicken was dry and actually overcooked. Then there were the omelettes, I don't believe they were impressive in any way and the people that ordered them agree. For those of us at the table that ordered coffee, it was rather strong. I normally like strong coffee, but this was borderline Turkish coffee, and there wasn't enough cream available to mask the potency. The service was also stretched thin. Our server, Destiny, did her best, but she was waiting too many tables. Having once been a waitermyself I have a special affinity for Service staff who are asked to do too much. We left her a good tip, but I'm sure she is capable of much better service than what she was allowed to deliver. Finally, the overwhelming crowd made the restaurant feel claustrophobic. The noise level was far too high, and we could barely hear one another at our table and we were sitting very close to one another. I don't place the blame on the kitchen, staff, or the wait staff, or even the greeters. This was a fail of management, plain and simple. They made no contingency plans for that many people and should have anticipated a larger crowd on Mother's Day. Management -I challenge you to do better!!! We will come back during a normal Service day to see if you can perform better, but I encourage you, as owners and managers, to stop setting your staff up for failure, which is what you did!

I wasn't too sure where to stand when I entered off the patio side on this lovely early afternoon, but when I figured out where the hosting station was, I was welcomed and seated in a spot I would have chosen for myself. Sometimes people sit single dudes in odd spots because maybe they don't think we care about kitchen doors and dark corners, but I had a really nice table where I could soak up the retro revamped vibe. I doubled the eggs order to four and chose the bacon and added a side of stewed black beans (so glad I did). First, I started with a glass of Beaujolais, which was quite nice. When the food arrived, the first thing that struck me was that I got cold butter in its own nice tin. I can't tell you how uncommon this is, even in finer dining. Usually, you get olive oil instead of butter, and if you ask for butter, it's in one of those wrappers. This was the real thing, not whipped, and I didn't have to ask specially for it. The eggs were delicate and seasoned beautifully, and the bacon was hearty and high-end and crispy. The grits are unbelievable, and the stewed beans are homemade and subtle, smooth as butter. I was amazed; the sides were really at the forefront. The kitchen isn't fast, so don't be in a hurry when you're here. Even the glass of wine took a few, and it was not busy. But it's also a nice place to relax and soak up the ambience, either indoors or out. And I appreciated that the food was so well made that I didn't mind the wait. Hats off to Stafford, who was my server. She checked up on me frequently. She was efficient and personable. They are lucky to have her! I had a beautifully crafted cortado espresso at the end, served traditionally with the fizzy water on the side. This is my favorite espresso as it is a strong pour but has just a bit of hot milk at the top to cut the acidity. It was excellent. Frankly, I was impressed they even knew what it was, so if you're just getting coffee, they'll also be the right place. I obviously recommend this place for its food, ambience, service. It was a treat and I hope to go back next time I'm in town.

Knowledgeable, showed genuine concern, and were able to make accommodations without a lot of back-and-forth. Good selection on the menu meant we weren't working from a short list of options either. Food was good across both visits--consistent, which matters as much as a single great meal. My son particularly liked the Brunch Sausage Burger. Looked good, and seemed entirely appropriate after a late night. Large space, tables well spread out, and located not far from downtown. Easy place to settle in whether you're with a crowd or just the two of you. Good for: small kids, business meals, casual meals, groups Would come back. Already did once.

Mugs are not an option here, so I won't take off on that. The whole milk added a good richness to the drink, and you could tell it was a real caramel sauce they used, not some cheap syrup. On top of all that, the flavors were still balanced enough that you could taste the espresso. I cannot vouch for the food here, but if I came back to visit this town, this coffee shop would be one of my first stops.

I absolutely loved the décor. The menu is extensive, and it was hard to choose just one thing, so my friend and I ordered two juices (Dope Beets & Let's Kick It Out) and two plates (the Grilled Pimento Panini and the Buddha Bowl) to share. The juices were phenomenal. Honestly, I would go back just for those. I really wanted to love the food, but unfortunately, it lacked flavor. I even ordered a cookie to try to redeem the meal, but that missed the mark as well. I felt especially bad because I brought a non-vegan friend and didn't want their first impression of vegan food to be a disappointing one, but sadly, that's how it turned out. That said, I'd be willing to return and try something different. Maybe it was just an off day, or perhaps the dishes we chose just weren't the best representation of the menu.
