I hated to revise my previous 5-star review because we really did love this little place...for years. Everything here is fine...until it's not. And then they will blame you. In all the years that I came here, I only had issues with my order three times. But all three times, they handled it so poorly and treated me so badly that it's unbelievable. I bought two ten-dollar banana splits for a family member after talking them up...but they forgot to add the Bananas. Not a big deal... but when I brought it up the next day, their response was "Well, you still got 2 good sundaes, so it ain't our problem". The 2nd time was when they ran my credit card for $90.00 instead of $9.00 and overdrafted my account. When I asked them to help with the $35 overdraft fee, they refused and said that it wasn't their problem. I had to go beg my bank for an annual courtesy forgiveness. They didn't even try to apologize...at any point. The last straw was when I got served a nice frosty cup of 50% coffee and 50% sweet tea... and when I asked them to simply make it up, they refused and once again said "Well, that ain't our problem". But like I said, the food is great. I was a regular for many years and only had these 3 issues, so your odds are pretty good. Good luck

We got fish sandwiches, tots and a malt. Fast, friendly service. Fish protruded way outside the bun, and was good. Tots and malt were perfect.

We tried this place for breakfast. It was very good, so now I want to see what they do for lunch. We both ordered the breakfast platter of 2 eggs, biscuit and gravy, and a biscuit and jelly, and a meat. I had the sausage while my dining partner had bacon. All this for under $6 each. The eggs were cooked to order perfectly. The biscuits are not from scratch, but they are fresh and baked correctly. The gravy was plain but a good amount. The bacon was very good. The sausage was a little overdone but not hard or dry. This is a take out place, but they do have covered seating on the side. We ate there since it was a beautiful day. The picnic tables could use a good scrubbing, but they didn't have old food on them, just dirty from being outside. It was reasonably quiet even though it's close to the road. It's an easy drive and has a nice setting for a relaxing meal. It's definitely worth it.

Great food and great service. I usually call in my orders to go pick them up, but even if I don't, they get it ready as quick as they can.

It was also a beautiful day so we sat on the patio. I love that they work with local organizations for fresh vegetables and meat! Our waiter was very nice and fairly attentive. But the food... For the good - the crab cake was delicious. It was like all crab meat with no filler and was very tasty. The pimento cheese was also SO yummy. You could tell it was made fresh and had a great flavor. The pita it came with was fine, a little over-grilled. I was not crazy about the fried okra. I wish the pieces weren't just cut in half, because to me they had that slimy okra texture inside. My gf said they weren't THAT bad, but I really had to push myself to eat them. The rosemary fries have a great flavor and were crispy (I prefer thicker fries but my gf enjoyed these). I LOVE mac and cheese and was super excited to try theirs. It was very creamy and had a good flavor but there was way too much cheese for the amount of noodles. Like the ratio was pretty off. Now for THE issue. My gf ordered the Filet Mignon, medium. It came raw and without the blue cheese compound butter. By the time the waiter came to check on us, I was half done eating. He took the steak to be put back on the grill and brought it back with a bowl of crumbled blue cheese. It was still raw inside. He brought us extra fries, but by the time it came back I was done eating. She asked for it to go and it was STILL RAW. She had cut it, so it was super obvious if you looked. The manager came and talked to us and they took it off the bill, but for a $40 filet mignon it should not take 3 tries to cook it right and it still not really be right. She said there are cold spots on the grill and they're training a new line cook, but it was not a good look... I'd maybe give more of a pass if they were packed, but there was no one eating inside and maybe two other tables of folks outside.

They were okay, but for 5 bucks...what do you expect?‍. I would say the accompanying butter was supposed to be honey butter, but it seemed like regular butter to me! The server was polite, but I was scratching my head because she started with---"Let me go see what's not available anymore." Shouldn't she have done that before speaking to us?? The atmosphere is relaxed, but there isn't much to the decor. It was just casual.... there was brown butcher paper on top of white table cloths...kind of tacky really. It was busy, however, which added to the noise. Hubby and I both ordered the 1885 burger. Now, we are talkin'! The burger was delicious! . It was juicy and tasty. Just an all around fantastic burger. This alone is what will bring me and hubby back. The loaded baked potato was standard, but good too. It sounds like this experience wasn't great, but like I said, the burger alone is enough to go back to enjoy.

The only reason for a one star review is because I couldn't give zero stars, and our server redeemed the one star because she was awesome. However, her awesomeness could not overcome the overwhelming disappointment that this place is. First off it's not Mexican food, it's garbage. I'm going to post a photo of a so-called Chile Relleno. It was utter filth and a complete insult to Mexican cuisine everywhere. It was so terrible that it didn't even come close. I'm not talking about a bad chili relleno, I'm talking about something so disgusting that I almost got it from the table and walked out without paying - but I paid for the swill that was prepared. Then there are the frijoles! I mean seriously I've had better stuff out of a tin, and I'm not even kidding about that! Cold, flavorless, and not even completely cooked. It's like nobody in that kitchen had ever even heard of Mexico. Sadly for them they had a diner last evening that has not only heard of it, but has been there. I lived in El Paso Texas for a number of years and I've gotten used to disappointing Mexican food ever since leaving there. But this restaurant takes the cake by far. The sad part is that just down the street there is authentic Mexican food prepared correctly, a number of real Mexican restaurants. There is some nostalgia to this place because it's located in the old Peerless mill which dates back to before World War II, but the nostalgia doesn't make up for bad food. If you own this restaurant and are reading this review, shame on you for defrauding your customers! Good honest, hard-working people come into your restaurant expecting at least a decent attempt at Mexican food, this wasn't even close!

It's located next to the apocalyptic abandoned Peerless Mill. It would make a great album cover! The place was hopping and everyone seemed to really enjoy their meals. My family had a little of everything. I really enjoyed the chimichanga with the vegetables. The guacamole dip was amazing too! You get a lot of food for the price and it is flavorful, fresh, and reasonably priced. I wouldn't call it the most authentic but it's really good. The service was friendly but a bit slow. I would definitely go back if I lived there.
