This place is so perfect in every way ,not just in the name. Swung in for a chi tea and left with the most amazing food,interaction and warm feelings. The service was beyond cozy. I ordered a Dirty Iced chi and the Roman panini but it was some of the best lunch I've had since moving to Georgia from Northern California. I also asked for it to go last min because a storm was about to hit town and they had no issue boxing it up for me. I officially have a new favorite coffee and lunch spot in my new hometown. This is the primary reason why I started and continue to Yelp after all these years. Youre on the road, in an unfamiliar place or first time in a new city and you want to grab a bite. So where do you go? Sure the familiar and established restaurant/food chains are almost always a safe bet and you kinda know what you gonna get even before you get your foot in the door. But these independent, locally owned mom and pop shops or just local to the area restaurants that you can search and find using the Yelp app is what makes the Yelp community so handy as a consumer. The result of course is never guaranteed but the good and not so good reviews, tips, and pictures makes the decision making to try out a new place so much easier. With regards to this place, no doubt its a community gem and not surprised that they received all those plaques on display of community awards and accolades for serving the best soups and a favorite lunch spot by the locals. This is a quaint place to visit for breakfast, lunch, or a tasty treat. The menu is creative and fresh. The coffee is amazing. They usually have a special every day, but it goes quick so it's best to call in and order ahead or visit around 11 PM for lunch. They stop serving breakfast at 10:30 AM. Today I'm having the "Special" which is a Cajun Mushroom Chicken Panini on Pita with a cup of Tomato Olive soup for $6.60. My son chose the Chicken Feta Melt, which is a wrap with salad and ranch dressing, and includes chips, and pickle spear for $6.55. The coffee and coke we had was $1.80 each. I believe based on quality the menu is priced appropriately. The range of teas are extensive. They also offer fruit smoothies, and other frozen flavored drinks such as Taro and blended ice green tea. I ordered a Cajun chicken wrap. It had some heat to it! Most jalapeño wraps have a very low heat to it or no heat at all. It was very flavorful. The service was quick and friendly. My waitress was hellah cute too! That never hurts. The wrap was served with chips. Meh, chips are chips. I had the pickle removed. Can't stand pickles. On the way back to Indiana, I was craving salad and homemade soup. We found this little gem. The service was great. My husband had the Perfect Cup sandwich which had ham, turkey, and bacon with veggies on ciabatta bread. I had the Super Garden salad which had dried tomatoes, green olives, cheese, dried fruit on romaine. We also ordered the cream of chicken with rice soup and the 3 green veggie soup. It satisfied my craving for the long drive home. If we are ever travelling through Dalton, GA, we will definitely drop in again. read more

This is one of my go-to places for lunch when I'm in Dalton. Jee makes one of the best chicken salads in town. It's finely shredded, with small diced celery and just enough mayo to make it wet. They also have one of my favorite soups ever, tomato and olive. If I don't get the chicky salad, I'll almost always get the club wrap or the BLTA wrap. Don't expect fancy sammies, soups, or sides. Do expect reasonably priced clean food in a clean space and good service (many of the waitstaff have been here for years!). They also have some really tasty lattes and tea concoctions. Sure, the decor is a bit dated but it's clean and cozy. I can forgive the garish floral arrangements for these reasons. I love Jee and her little tea shop. If you come on the right day, you can catch her husband on the guitar. Jee also makes a mean kimchi and if you're lucky, she'll sell you a cup. read more

Someone told me The Perfect Cup is the best place to have lunch in Dalton, so I tried it out a couple of weeks ago. After we sat down, we had to wait a decent amount of time for someone to come take the drink order...in fact, I had already thoroughly reviewed the menu, debated over a few choices, and decided what I wanted by the time a server approached the table. I ordered a cup of broccoli cheddar soup and a white tuna melt, which was served with a tomato and should have come with chips. My friend ordered just a sandwich. After the server dropped off our drinks, she didn't return to the table to check on us...and I was getting worried about my soup. Instead of bringing it as an appetizer, she recorded it as a sandwich/soup combo lunch. I actually didn't mind that much after the meal arrived, though, since the sandwich and soup were more than enough. I just would have appreciated more vigilant service. Our sandwiches were great, but I wouldn't recommend the broccoli cheddar soup. My friend had the strawberry iced tea and highly recommended it. The smoothies also looked tasty, but I drank hot tea because I'm always cold when I'm in an air conditioned room. (I know...it's ridiculous.) Given better service, the food at this place deserves four stars. read more

There's only assigned seating, no sugar and cream set out, and the counter person seemed pretty frustrated. It looked like they were busy but that's not a reason to be impatient with customers. I have eaten lunch here several times. It is pretty consistently good. The soup is great, cream of chicken and mushroom is my favorite. Word of warning: ask what is in the soup. The tomato basil is more like vegetable barley. I would never call it tomato basil. It is still excellent, just not what you would expect. I have had a grilled cheese and bacon, which was quite good. The chicken salad is good, just not in the grilled version. The atmosphere is casual and dated. All in all a solid lunch choice. read more

The food/ coffee here is really good but the service is really bad. No one says anything when you walk in which makes the place seem unfriendly. The staff doesn't help you with your order at all even after I said it was my first time here. And the ordering process is pretty confusing because no one would give me a menu until I finally saw some sat to the side.... I didn't even know they had actual food until I saw that menu because no one mentioned it. The staff is depressing to be around and they make you seem like an inconvenience. Won't be back. read more

This is my new favorite coffee shop. The people are very friendly and helpful, and their products are as good as it gets. Very fresh and delicious. I would recommend this to anybody in Dalton. Soups and sandwiches is what you get here. It's got an extremely solid customer base.You can tell by the way the servers and customers interact, people that eat here are regulars. They have a really nice coffee menu, and I've gotten lattes once and my boyfriend absolutely loved his. Mine was good too. I'm sucker for their burger, but there sandwiches are great too. They also serve tea and have some homemade desserts. I usually go about once every two or three weeks, because you can only eat so many sandwiches, but definitely give this place a try. read more
