I just had breakfast and coffee at Calhoun Coffee Company, and as someone visiting from California and coming from a different faith background, I just want to say I never once felt judged or treated differently. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, considerate of my time, and genuinely friendly. The customer service was truly amazing. I ordered the Blueberry Cheesecake Latte, and wow... I was honestly surprised by how delicious it was. I genuinely did not want that drink to end and wish I had ordered another one to go. The atmosphere was also exactly what I needed. The live music created such a peaceful, relaxing environment. I felt completely at ease, almost like I was in my own little world for a while. For breakfast, I ordered the avocado egg toast with extra eggs on the side. I was so excited to eat that I forgot to take a picture, but it was absolutely worth mentioning. The flavor combination was perfect. At first, I thought the cream cheese and avocado together might be too much, but honestly, it worked so well. Simple, flavorful, and really satisfying with just the right seasoning. We have visited twice. The first Time was for to go iced coffee, it was good , nothing extraordinary. Yesterday we stopped in for dine in breakfast. Staff was friendly and service was amazing. I ordered the lox bagel and it was AHmazing! Was not expecting the colorful bagel which was a fun surprise. The smoked salmon was so delicious! My husband ordered an omelette which he said was very good. I also had a regular cup of coffee and it was very good. We will be back when we are in the area again. read more

I said i would come back and i did! Today i ordered a coconut cream pie iced latte and it was actually amazing! Not overly sweet. My husband got a chocolate chip frappe which he liked also. Now my favorite thing here is the cinnamon bagels with cinnamon butter. They make these to perfection. Mix that with their power bowl is an amazing breakfast combo. My husband also got their Belgian waffle and it was good. I'm not what changed but i will say this visit is far better than my last. Much much better and i highly recommend eating at the restaurant it's very cute has an industrial farm house appeal to it. read more

This is a very cozy breakfast/ brunch restaurant. The lattes were served hot just how I like them. The food was also delicious. We had the avocado toast and lox bagel. Everything tasted fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely return if I am in the area again. We are moving to Calhoun and stumbled across this gem for breakfast! We both ordered the avocado toast which was reasonably priced and absolutely delicious. We also got the pitcher of mimosas which were nice and refreshing. They had live music playing and it wasn't too loud so we could still have a conversation at the table. Our waitress was very friendly and gave us local dinner reservations nearby as well. We will 100% be back once we are settled in! read more

New location and apparently new ownership. Problems from the start. Confusion on when and how to seat left us sitting around for awhile. Finally seated in the bar area and neglected. Drink order was slow, food order was slow. Actual arrival of food took forever. Party seated beside us left after waiting for their food. At our table, no lemon and no turkey so my friend had to change his order. I grabbed the veggie omelette and Cajun fries. The fries were over priced, cold and lacking flavor. The omelette was above average and kept this review from being one star. Trying to pay at the host station also went poorly with six people waiting in line and zero employees present. The food is always consistent and ON POINT! I frequent this place at least once a week because not only is the food killer but the staff always is above and beyond kind and hospitable. The vibe in this place is immaculate (historic building beautifully redone). My kids love the pancakes and eggs and the quesadillas for lunch... Saturdays are a wonderful family setting for food, playing block games (they provide blocks for kids how cool), and LIVE MUSIC! The owner is so kind and always comes to the table and checks on how the food and service was. this place is pretty good, the menu is more extensive than I thought and they pack a lot of flavors in some of those selections. We had the asian rice and eggs and it as good but can't say that flavor is a breakfast flavor but heard it's popular. The breakfast wraps are legit lots of flavor and packed full. Great little spot for breakfast or lunch! Ample street parking but there is a parking garage a few blocks away if needed. Nice, quaint little coffee shop offering lots of salads, wraps, soups, and sandwiches along with breakfast fare. We were greeted upon entering and ordered quickly. Stopped by on my last day in Calhoun and am glad I did! The staff was great; they were incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the coffee beans they roasted and where they got them from. Nice informative chat just to see where its coming from. The coffee was great and the breakfast burrito I got was massive! Literally did not finish it all, which is a rarity. I wanted to, but would've made myself miserable if I did. My only complaint would be that there was no music in here -- way too quiet! Pretty nice little coffee shop. The place was packed when we ordered, so it took a minute to get our coffees. We grabbed a table and browsed a bit during our wait. My husband ordered the pour over coffee and seemed quite pleased with it. He's kinda picky about the way his pour over coffee is made and he was quite satisfied. Meanwhile, I ordered a cafe au lait, which was a nice blend of rich and smooth. It was rather nice and I was pleased. During our other visit, we just picked up black coffee and left to shop. The lunch options appeared pretty interesting and I wish we had bothered to stick around for lunch during either visit, but absolutely next time!!! The service was pleasant and I liked the ambiance and vibe, with exposed brick walls and a rustic, casual cafe theme. Plenty of comfy seating and tables decorated the space. Was not impressed at all. So wanted to have this be our go to place for coffee and breakfasts. Very confusing where to go on entering. No one greets you or acknowledges you. Went to the counter and told the girl it was our 1st time here . She said they'd been slammed , never looked up at us. We said we would get coffees to go. Had a little wait for the coffee as they were pretty busy but overall pretty good! Food was great and in my opinion a little under priced, especially for the portion size and quality. I certainly recommend looking at pricing, I'd love to see this sustainable! Might also recommend an extra shot in the large coffees for more of a coffee flavor. Overall good job! read more

I was really excited to try this place while in town for a bike race because I love local coffee shops. My initial thoughts were great! Exposed brick walls, comfy couches, a nice display of different coffee and tea options- it all looked very promising! They have a very extensive food menu and I was impressed by that, I got the Denver breakfast wrap and it was quite yummy and pretty cheap considering the size of it. Then I got my pour over coffee and this is where it all went south. I watched them make it, they didn't even have a real kettle for making pour overs, they just poured hot water over the top of it from a milk steaming pitcher. That was the first sign it wasn't going to be great. I then received my pour over and I took the lid off and there were huge coffee grounds in it! I picked out a couple of the big pieces of coffee and tried a sip, it was so watery it barely even tasted like coffee at all. And I was drinking it black, so it's not like I diluted it with cream or anything. Clearly they don't know what coarseness to grind coffee for a pour over which is definitely why it tasted like water. I threw the whole cup away because I just couldn't drink it. Also my friend was very displeased with his mocha, he said it had a very unusual flavor that he couldn't quite place. I just think that for a place that has coffee in the name, they definitely need to work on there coffee making game. Best of luck to the owners/ baristas for hopefully improving that aspect of the business, otherwise they're on the right track with the shop with the nice atmosphere and food menu. read more

I love the old town vibe that this place has. Busted brick walls and classic wooden shelves help with the rustic nature of the Calhoun coffee company. Young man at the register recommended their breakfast rice and he did not disappoint! White mocha was on point as well.
