Generally a decent place to eat however I've tried their chicken tenders like 2 times and this last one was the last time. They say they are real meat but if they cool down they are not easy to pull apart or break into, in fact I didn't even try to finish mine. read more

If you want to be relaxed and have a reasonably good time, do not go here. You cannot be friendly with the staff without being accused of sexual assault. My friend, who tips well, calls the bartenders honey or sweetie or bud depending on the who they are, as do I. Apparently it made them feel uncomfortable according to the manager. No one in at least 10 years of frequenting this establishment has anyone ever said, Hey, I'd appreciate you not calling me that. The current manager, if he does not like you has the power to make accusations against you and tell you not to come back. No problem, you are not the only restauartant in the area. A friend and I ate a late lunch in Chilis Northgate location yesterday. The restaurant was clean and had a nice friendly ambiance but I had a few complaints . First, I ordered some guacamole for starters and asked the server if that came with chips. She said yes, not telling me I would be charged six dollars EXTRA for the chips! The guacamole tasted like bad, bland store bought guacamole. When my fajita came, it was so salty I only took a few bites. I got a to go box but then thought..." Would you even eat this at home?" I decided not and left the box on the table. My companion also complained that her black beans and fries were grossly over salted. She got chicken strips which she said were fine. The worst part of the meal was that I barely got home before I threw up. One could not pay me to ever go to a Chilis again. read more

Located out front of the Northgate Mall from Highway 153, it's in a separate building easy to find and get to. Parking is plentiful but a bit disjointed. The handicapped parking is adjacent to the building, but along the side of the building so you'll have a bit of a walk along the sidewalk to get to the door. The parking closest to the door is for curbside pickup. The rest of the parking will require crossing a traffic lane. We ordered pickup and were given a time the food would be ready. We got there at the specified time and they brought our order out right away. Once home, we felt the food had cooled more than would be expected if it was hot when we received it. One nice thing is they attach a sticker to each container with the specific order listed. This makes separating the orders much easier and also ensures the ordered items are included. Overall, the food tasted good. My mango chicken was properly cooked and the mango salsa was very flavorful. The loaded potato salad was good, but room temperature. It would have been much better hot. The steamed broccoli was cooked nicely, with a slight crispness. One of my dining partners did not receive the guacamole ordered, even though it was on her ticket, and we were charged extra for it. While this Chili's is no different from any of the others, it also does not stand out from any others. There are good and bad things so you just have to know what to expect. read more

the BEST chili's I have EVER been to by far. Our waiters name was Kacie, she was absolutely the sweetest ever. even our hostess, the bartender, and the food runner was sooo sweet. It warms my heart to come to dinner with my boyfriend and be greeted so kindly & warmly. needless to say, my boyfriend and I plan to spend many date nights here now. This place hasn't been cleaned since the 90's (see photos) Employees don't make eye contact. Not a smile in the entire place. All waitresses have nose rings and poor attitudes. Food is pretty much what you've come to expect. Slow service. Table tops are sticky like they are washed in mop water. 2/10 experience. Walls and backboards looks like there have been boogers wiped on them for years. This place will destroy your childhood. Such failed potential. For a party of 10 the service was on point and so was the timing for the food to come out. We were on a schedule and the food made it out in time to where all of us ate and were able to get back to work. Pleased to say that this location gets an A+. Like someone else posted, it's Chili's so most things are what you would expect. We tried getting to go's during the covid epidemic many times and each had an issue. Either our food would be ice cold, salad dressings were missing and even entire side orders would be missing. They have great deals during the week, but you run the chance of missing items or eating cold food. Every time we've dined in the experience has been... okay. We had a gifted gift card and were in the area, so preferring even chain restaurant food to hunger pain; we came here. This Chili's isn't any different than any other one. Standard modern restaurant decor and standard service. I get the feeling there is a machine that counts out exactly how many fries you get - a number which has been arrived at by a committee. We were seated quickly and the waitress took our drink orders quickly. I decided on the 3 for 10 which lets you pick an entree, a soda and a side item. I chose a side salad and a big bacon burger. Hubby got the same thing except with the bacon chicken ranch quesadilla and chips and salsa. My daughter spotted the 'corn on a stick' and that was the end of her input into the decision making process. We added a cheese pizza so that no one would call child protective services ;-) Everything arrived quickly and was good; not great. We had a hard time getting a bottle of ketchup and drink refills. The French fries were the best part of my meal. Well seasoned and crisp - they went quickly as everyone at the table started trying to sneak them off my plate. My burger was dry and the quesadilla was lacking enough cheese and meat to balance out the tortilla. Another problem is the automated machine you use to pay the check. Ours kept getting stuck. Then it had to be rebooted. It just seemed like an impersonal and inefficient way to pay and left a bad impression at the end of the meal. read more

We arrived on Saturday night and checked in at 7:09. The hostess told us it would be about a 30 - to 35-minute wait. We were seated at 7:27. So we were pleasantly surprised by the short wait time, especially on a Saturday night. Our waitress greeted us within just a few minutes after being seated and took our drink orders. Our drinks were brought out quickly and she took our order. We ordered the nachos for an appetizer, which was also brought out to us quickly. I didn't like the nachos. They had some type of chili powder on them, which made them taste "powdery," if that makes any sense. You could tell it was an added seasoning powder. However, my husband did like them, so I guess it's just a matter of taste. I ordered the Big Mouth Bites, which are hamburger sliders with fries. My husband ordered the chicken crisper. Again, our main course was brought out within a matter of minutes. We both enjoyed our main courses. The burgers were delicious and very flavorful. I was not too big on the type of fries that have the seasoning coating that makes them super crispy. I like just regular fries! From the hostess to our waitress, everyone was very nice, attentive, and professional. March Madness was going on, so they had the games on the televisions. They also had other sports channels going on as well. It is a nice place to go have a drink and watch a sports game while enjoying time with friends. Ordered w door dash...delivery was fast but was missing my potatoes and the chicken was COLD!

When in Hixson, one sometimes has to pick a chain restaurant to dine at. So I talked Mom into going to Chili's 'cause I remembered their great 3 for $10 dinner deal: a drink, side salad or dish, and an entree for $10. We were seated promptly in a booth near the bar area. Everyone in the restaurant seeemed happy and content. I ordered the Bacon Ranch Chicken Quesadilla with a side salad and Mom ordered the Margarita Grilled Chicken with a side salad. My side salad was fine but I LOVED that quesadilla. It was so flavorful! And huge enough to need a to go box. Mom said part of her chicken tasted good and part tasted rubbery but the beans and Mexican rice mix portion of the dish was delish. Of course we HAD to split a dessert too! So we ordered the Paradise Pie: a chocolate chip, walnut, coconut layered bar with just the right amount of hot fudge and caramel drizzled on top. This Chili's is okay. And that's really all there is to it. I went here Sunday after church with my dad for lunch, and we decided to sit at the bar. I'm not really that impatient, but the bartender was missing for awhile (maybe 3-5minutes). After that it took us a bit longer than normal to order our food. Aside from that it was a good experience. They have changed their menu since the last time I was there and I saw some things I would like to try in the future. My drink was good (EXPENSIVE! Sheesh the prices weren't on the menu) and the food was good. The best part was that my food was actually bigger and looked better than the picture in the menu. How often does that happen? My wife and I ate here for a date night. The service here was outstanding. Our server was the absolute best he was on top of everything, with service like his we will definitely be back. I got the triple dipper with all cheddar bites they are my favorite especially with the house made ranch dipping sauce. Let's be honest: the only reason I even let my family bring me here when I visit is because 2 for 1 drinks are a thing. I'll let this scenario tell the story. My two beautiful margaritas arrive on the table. Somehow the rest of my family has straws. I search all over the table for one. My dad tells me it's in the napkin wrapped utensils, then comments, "you must not go to Chili's often." No. No I do not. So why are you reviewing it then, snot? (I am emulating my mom here I'm sure.) Well let's see, when you live on this side of the river and your parents do not wish to return back downtown, you are not left with many options for that sit down family experience, and like I said, 2 for 1. The food sucks of course. I used to love their black bean burger when I was a vegetarian but that was because there really were no other choices at the time for such things. The prices are high and the food is MEH. I tend to get a sandwich because how can you screw up grilling chicken and then putting cheese and lettuce on a bun. Sure it's not mindblowing and it could sure as hell use spices other than salt but it works. And their fries would actually be okay if they weren't trying to cure you with their salt content either. But holy cow the service here is awful. AWFUL. We showed up around like 7:45 ON A WEDNESDAY and had to wait. If you are at all familiar with this area on a Wednesday , it is so dead. But we had to wait for a table and there were plenty of empty tables so clearly they don't feel like having their employees make a living. Then we waited some more, at this point it is almost 8, and finally got to order drinks. Waited more. Eventually ordered. Waited more. I looked around, the 50% of tables that did have customers that were near our table were nearly done with food or had boxes sitting there before they were leaving. We didn't get home until 9:15. It was kind of ridiculous for FREAKIN CHILIS you know. All I can say is... WOW. I've been on the fence about this location until I received the most prompt and friendly service I may have ever received in the service industry. Miranda, our waitress who is new to Chattanooga, not only was knowledgeable of the menu, she made our family feel at home. A rarity this day in age in the service industry. The Mrs and I met there for dinner with another couple the other night. It was later than most people eat dinner, so I thought it would be the perfect time to slide in and get great service. Survey says?! Anhhhhh! I was wrong. I came in first while I was waiting for the others. It looked like a tornado had hit the place. I could count at least 8 tables that had not been bussed/cleaned. The person at the front seemed to be in a bad mood. I made a light hearted comment to him about looking tired, and he said something to the effect of he was frustrated with his co-workers. So I guess they were having a rough night. That should have been a big red flag to me! I should've trusted my instincts, but I didn't want to make the others go somewhere else when we were already here. Plus, I was starving. I needed food. So we sat, and our drinks did come out quick. We ordered the tableside guacamole to start. We fought each other over who was going to eat the last bite. It was either really good, or I was just really hungry. Our food order was taking a long time, so the waitress came out and asked if we wanted more chips and such. We said yes we did. (If you are a server, and the food is taking a while.... don't ask. Just bring it) Wish I could remember the name of our server. I should say servers. She said her name and said her "partner" server's name. He came by and stared at us later when we were waiting on chips and drink refills. He said do you guys need anything? We said your partner is supposed to be getting drinks and chips. He said okay and that was the last we saw from him. I don't think they were talking to each other. So now we have cleanliness is a 1. Wait time is like a 2. But the female server was super nice when she was around. The food finally came. I had the Cajun Pasta with Chicken. One of my "Go to" plates here. It had been setting for a while. It wasn't hot. It usually comes with a piece of garlic bread which was missing. I was too hungry to argue. There was no way in hell I was going to send my food back to that kitchen. I think everyone was about to kill each other in this place. There was a lot of tension in the air. We ate and got out of there. Never did get that chip refill. Poor service. Poor food. I'll not be back. I've been to this Chili's a few times to try to give it a chance. Unprofessional and poor. A waitress should never yell to a hostess that she no longer wants people in her area. Do you not want to work? I was confused and felt uncomfortable. It was a Friday night. I do understand the rush, but I just got here. I did not know if I should sit down or just leave. The hostess sat us anyway and took our drink order to try to ease the mood. She was great. Another waitress came over to work in the area. It took her a long time before she got to our food order. She rarely came to our table. When we were ready to go, it took a while to get her to come to us. Guacamole turkey burger was extremely salty. It was to the point where you couldn't eat it.
