Sloppy Jose Two Tacos and Side Mexican Street Corn
Todd M.

We have been to Taco Mamacita's on several occasions. We prefer this location over the original for several reasons. The host was incredibly friendly and quickly guided us to our table. The place wasn't busy so it was nice and quiet enough to converse. Our server also arrived quickly, was friendly and took our order for the app as well as drinks. We chose the chips and queso. It was tasty. We each had the two tacos with a side. We chose two Sloppy Jose's (our favorite, made with sloppy Joe meat instead of taco meat) and Mexican street corn. Excellent!! We enjoyed our meal so much. Will definitely return.

Excellent Food, Great service and very fun atmosphere. I can hardly wait to try a few tacos‼

5 stars -- Do yourself a favor and order the Birria Tacos with Sweet Potato Fries. The food was outstanding -- bold flavors, great portions, and everything came out fresh. Washed it down with a Blue Moon and it was the perfect Friday night dinner. Highly recommend!

Never once had bad service and the food is always amazing!! Definitely recommend! Giving this place a low rating is a crime! Straight to jail!

I had high hopes for Taco Mamacita, I remember enjoying the location downtown. This one in Hamilton Place just didn't do it for me. It was pretty empty on a Monday night when we went. We were sat right away and our server was was friendly. The establishment is clean bathrooms are clean. I liked the feel of the restaurant beautifully decorated. It was the food that's causes this to have such a low rating for me. I don't mind food being expensive if I'm paying for quality. This meal was just expensive for no reason. Started with chips and queso and that was the best thing of the night. The margarita wasn't tasty for being strawberry flavored. The Birria tacos were some of the worst I've had. The shells were fried to the point of being so crunchy you could barely bite through it. The meat wasn't seasoned like with the basics: salt. The consume it comes with lacked flavor so dipping the Birria tacos in it was not helpful. As for the sides the Mexican corn had way too much chili powder on it you couldn't taste anything else and the Mexican rice was just meh also. I can cross this location off my list or hopefully they work through their kinks because Taco mamacita done right is delicious.

I've been excited about this place going in at Hamilton Place since it was announced. Got to try it out and was so disappointed. The downtown location is one of our favorites but this place is trying too hard and not delivering on quality. It was dirty, food was cold and prices are outrageous. They need to get some help from the Northshore location and revamp themselves. We are not interested in giving this place a second chance.

I hate to be that guy but not sure we'll be coming back. The gold was very expensive for what would be an OK dinner, nothing to rave about. The Peruvian chicken was basically a rotisserie chicken, nothing to write home about. The tacos were definitely better than the chicken but still, not all that remarkable. The margaritas were very good, but since I'm not a big drinker , they didn't go very far to tilt my opinion of this place. Being from Nashville I had very high hopes. Maybe things will improve but I'll let other Yelpers pass along those updates.

Diablo salsa Mango salsa Roasted tomato salsa

This was our first time in and I'm so happy we gave it a try! The queso was very tasty and had enough density to stay on a chip, the mango salsa was soooo good!! I have issues with onions and since this salsa has no onions, I was able to eat it freely! Yay!! My margarita with Xicaru reposado mezcal and an upgrade of Cointreau was to die for delicious! My entree was so frigging good! I didn't take a pic, and don't remember the name, SORRY! But, it had 12 hour slow roasted half a chicken that was flash fried before serving. So moist and flavorful! I chose as my sides the street corn which was very good and sweet potato fries that were maybe the best I've ever had! Noel and Mattie at the bar were outstanding!! Please come check this fabulous spot out if you've not been here before!!

Cali Cobb

Food was terrible and portion size to price/value was criminal! $16.99 for some garbage nacho $13.99 for a Cali Cobb with a condiment size chicken to add on top. The Jalapeño Ranch was the only redeeming aspect, otherwise, this place needs to be gone!

I should have gone to Taco Bell. Resturant wasn't very busy but I was essentially ignored the entire time I was there. I waited with an empty cup for the duration of my meal after one of the many servers told me they would get me more. I think I had 4 different servers over my time there. I think everyone there was just there to celebrate a birthday and those large parties took all the attention. When I actually got the food it was just ok. I've certainly had worse but I've definitely had better. I wasn't expecting authenticity but I expected a bit more presentation and better quality for the price. Good sweet potato fries though.

Fantastic lunch!…read more Amazing, friendly, attentive service. Extensive menus! Reports from our party were that everyone's food was delicious and plentiful. Also the Bloody Marys were phenomenal! Only downside was an obnoxious realtor who had to take and make cell calls so that we all could hear her loud business and be inproessed. (We weren't!). When will people be THOUGHTFUL and take and make their calls in the lobby or OUTSIDE?! Malone's was outstanding. Highly recommend!

You can choose a salad and a side or two sides, so you can actually get a steak, potato, and vegetable without paying extra for everything. Compared with the à la carte pricing at many steakhouses we're used to, that's a big plus. The main thing that needs improvement is consistency with steak temperatures. On our first visit, I ordered mine medium rare, and it arrived much too rare for me to eat. On our second visit, my husband ordered the 12-ounce bone-in filet rare, and it came out more cooked than my medium-rare steak had been. There was also a small service miss on the first visit. When they took my steak back, I asked whether they could simply put it back on the flame. The gentleman explained that they would replace it because I had already cut into it, and he offered to package the original steak for me to take home. That never made it back to our table. Not a huge issue, but it was something he offered and didn't follow through on. Happy hour is a highlight. The jumbo shrimp cocktail was $2 per shrimp, and they were truly big shrimp--and very good! On our visits, the happy hour martini and old fashioned were $6, and wine was 50% off. If you like anchovies with your Caesar salad, they have them; you just need to ask. So far, steak is the only entrée we've tried. Despite the inconsistent cooking temperatures, we've enjoyed our visits overall, appreciate the value, and plan to return.

The bathroom is a public bathroom that has like an old west kind of design to it, and it has paper towels. For lunch, I ordered Chilaquiles Jalisco, which was listed as a New item. Despite the fact that I arrived late and was the last one to order, my food came out before my co-workers' food (it took 11 minutes and 34 seconds for my food to arrive). The pork was a bit salty but still good. The sauce wasn't spicy at all. The fried chips tasted toasty and very fresh. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch. For dessert, I ordered the Cajeta Churros With Ice Cream, which took about 6 minutes to arrive. The menu picture indicated that this dish comes with sliced strawberries, but there were no strawberries on my dessert. If this (and the Sopapillas With Ice Cream) don't come with strawberries, they really should update the pictures in the menu to be more accurate. The churros had a cajeta filling, and were crispy, warm, and not too sweet. As for the ice cream, I was worried it would be bland since most of the time I have ice cream at a restaurant, it's fairly bland. However, that wasn't the case for this. Despite my lack of sliced strawberries, I did enjoy my dessert (and my coworkers thought it tasted good too). Hopefully they do update the menu so that it is more accurate to what the food is. Last thing I'll mention is if you come here on your birthday, you get free ice cream.
