We've been trying all Mexican restaurants within a 20 mile radius of our place and have finally found THE PLACE. The setting, the service, the prices and of course the food...were all perfect. She had the quesabirria--one of her fave dishes, and I had the Mexican tacos. We were both extremely happy with them. Pro tip: Ask for the hotter (red) salsa. It's $1 extra and well worth it. Absolutely phenomenal taco spot with great deals My aunt has Celiac and they can accommodate her severe gluten allergy without her getting sick. They have a gluten allergy menu as well which is great! The jalapeño margarita is phenomenal and a great pairing with their taco Tuesday special I had the carne asada and shrimp tacos, both were delightful. This spot came highly recommended by a friend so I decided to check it out. It is located in a small shopping plaza and was easy to find using GPS. Upon walking in the host staff greeted us and advised that we would have to wait for a table to leave prior to being seated or we could grab seats at the bar. We were ready to eat so we sat at the bar. This spot is small, so it does fill up quick. I would imagine that you will typically have a wait if you go during prime time, such as after work Monday- Friday. Our wait staff was not the bar tender. This was a New experience for me. I have never had a wait staff provide service to the bar patrons, but whatever works for them! He was a personable guy and offered suggestions on items to try. I went with the chicken chimichanga and my date had a burrito. We munched on queso, salsa and chips as we waited on our entrees. To my surprise they came out quickly and seemed to be pretty a fresh. The food was ok, but nothing I would recommend to anyone. They do have a happy hour which offers discounts on drinks. That may be worth checking out. read more

Very generous servings but not very good. Typical Mexican decor. Quesadilla was way too salty, and soupy as well as only warm at best. Cheese was congealed, not hot. What a disappointment but since we were with another couple I didn't say anything. Once we were out the door, my husband could only say, "Not very good," when I asked him how he liked his enchiladas. I found the food to be excellent I ordered the empoladas and the mole was excellent. The chips could have been lighter(overcooked) but I could not take away a star. Even the refried beans were luscious. I am going back to try the queso, the birria tacos, and hopefully the chips will be lighter and crisper. Also ordered sopapillas. Second: it's super cold sitting in the booths Third: staff needs to be trained differently The waitress/manager was rude. She was not helpful or polite. Complained again when she came to ask if we were done and wanted a receipt. Told her my complaint again. (I also didn't eat all of it) She said she couldn't do anything about it. I asked her for a manager. She said she was the manager. She told me "that it was just how the salad came and that the owner tried to talk to the cook and the cook wouldn't listen." I pushed a bit more. She did call the owner and ask for a portion of my meal to be taken off. He did agree. I'm so confused because this was my go to Mexican place. We came on Labor Day and just missed lunch so had to pay dinner price for a beef taco salad and 2 refried bean tostados. Food was so-so, and not very hot in temperature after quite a long wait even though few customers. They did turn down the music when we asked. BEWARE OF YOUR CHECK!!! PRICE GAUGING!!! How does two plates of rice and cheese cost $24.00?!?! I ordered a side of rice with cheese for my 13 year old daughter and she wanted another after she finished the one. I got my bill and they charged me for two chicken cheesy rice minus the chicken... someone raise their hand if that makes any sense and said it is the same price no matter how it was ordered because the "cheese dip is gold to them"! I couldn't get through to the waiter that this was price gauging and there was no manger there conveniently. I called when I got home to speak with a manager and miraculously in 10 minutes from leaving they were there. I explained to them what happened and he kept saying the same thing over and over talking over me every time he asked me to explain. He then said I was yelling because I had to talk over him so I handed the phone to my wife to see if that helped. He claimed she was yelling also, which she wasn't. Instead of putting the difference back to the card he had on file he made me drive back for a $10 refund thinking I would say no. The owner came out and said the manager walked out the back door scared and I said there was no reason for that. The waiter actually had my back and said I was very nice to him the entire time I was there. I just wanted to be listened to. I even left a good tip in spite of the confusion because he was just in the middle. When I walked back in to get my refund he admitted he misunderstood and was sorry for the confusion. Why he could not do that while we was there is unknown to me. The food is great but I will never return. Just pay attention to you check. The location is great, and the building is on the smaller side so go a little early or plan on a wait since they don't do reservations. I definitely will be coming back! When I opened up the container I was surprised to find no beans, no salsa, no queso cheese no sour cream (All of which are supposed to be on the dish). I found this restaurant not very long after they opened. Their food is delicious. My husband and I think they are the Best Mexican restaurant in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia and surrounding areas. The manager is very nice and helpful. All of the servers that we've had have been great. They are very attentive. The decor is beautiful. I am so happy that Fort Oglethorpe finally got a great Mexican restaurant. We have recommended this restaurant to all of our friends. It does take a little longer to get your food but that's because it's made fresh. This was our first and last experience here. The host sat us at a dirty table which we had to wipe down ourselves with napkins. The waitress came to our table three times after we ordered to ask if everything was okay, but we were still waiting on our food and were only drinking water. In fact, we waited almost 50 minutes before the food was served. After we received our food, we never saw her again. They upcharge for everything here, including chips and salsa. The food was very bland and extremely greasy. The rice tasted like store-bought and the cheese enchilada was dripping with grease. The Mexican salad was inedible--served with spring greens, diced mangoes, carrots, and a sweet, syrupy dressing, which all made for a weird combination. No thanks. Very bland food. I didn't eat half of my food (al pastor and shredded beef tacos, beans and guacamole). They up charge if you order guac as a side and you only get about 2 tablespoons. My wife's food was pretty bland, too. I didn't eat even half of my food and the server/bartender didn't bother to ask if it was bad or if they could make it up somehow.
