Walking in, the sign indicated we should seat ourselves, so we found a booth. Seating consists of tables and booths, with a larger table in the section near the front of the building. It is an older building which could use some freshening, but everything was clean. Even the worn floors and table tops were clean and not sticky. Our waitress arrived within a minute or two of us sitting down, bringing the menus and took our drink order. We got our drinks in two different deliveries. Our waitress had several tables she was working and seemed to handle them well, dropping off items at the various tables as she walked by. Our food took maybe 10 minutes to arrive. I ordered the "2 egg special". My eggs were cooked exactly as I ordered. The two sausage patties were cooked completely but not overdone. The biscuits and gravy were excellent. The biscuit could stand up to the gravy but was still soft enough to cut with a fork. The sausage gravy was thick and plentiful. I did add a little more pepper, but that is a personal preference. My dining partner's veggie omelet was very good. All vegetables tasted fresh, and the addition of sour cream amped up the flavor. The grits were nothing special, but it's really hard to make grits stand out.
