Broaster chicken was superb! My partner had it with the chicken and Waffles. The Waffles were good too. Very moist and cake-like! Yum I had California Benedict. It was ok. English muffin was grilled on a flat top not Toasted so not crisp at all. A ton of hollandaise but it was broken and it's pretty bland. The bacon was good and the egg was poached perfectly. This place must be improving all the time. I came back here because my 85 yo dad likes waffles and it's within reasonable driving distance. We had been here before and I thought it was just ok, not amazing. Noticed room for improvement because I am in the industry etc. Then we went in today and everything was top notch. The service was stellar and the food made us feel like we were on vacation in a hip foodie town. I don't care about atmostphere that much when I go out to eat, I just want the food to be at least as good as I can make myself and I am a very good cook. Dad ate every last bit of his waffles with fruit and a very good whipped cream. The spicy chicken and waffles I had were as good as any chicken and waffle place I've ever been to. I was excited to try this place here in Redding! I looked online and I loved the menu options! Upon arriving I felt more than welcome when the gentleman greeted us and took us to our table and offered us coffee. (I'm guessing he was the general manager based on his attire.) Our server, Mak, however was less than friendly. I could not help but notice her lack of enthusiasm and attention after taking our order especially compared to her other tables. It was a slower day at a non peak time so I was confused as to why once we got our food she failed to check on us or if we needed anything. I wanted to send my iced latte back because I ordered it with extra shots and light vanilla, it came to the table looking and tasting not far off from just plain milk and vanilla syrup, but she never came back. She did not return until it was time to drop the check which she separated when she was not asked to. That was a bit odd. I was treating my sister to brunch so it just felt it was a way for her to furavoid interaction with my table. Placed an online order. When I got there the food was not ready despite the online service saying it was suppose to be ready 20 minutes ago. When I checked in to pick up the lady said they don't usually do online orders on the weekends and there was no apology. But there was no way I could have known that since it said nothing about that online and the service was working? I bought the classic ribeye steak platter, ribeye cooked perfectly medium, eggs perfectly cooked over medium, and the country potatoes could use a bit more seasoning and more of a crust. My platter came with a side of pancakes I chose to upgrade my pancakes to caramel banana pecan well worth the extra 2.40, pancakes were soft warm full of toppings with every bite not overly sweet which is what made it enjoyable, multiple syrup options I recommend them all. We pick this place from Google maps. We were hungry and we just needed to eat somewhere. We didn't really expect much especially because I'm so picky. But we really enjoyed it! Crystal our server, was not only incredibly accommodating but she was super friendly smiled a lot and really made it feel like we mattered to her as customers. They're breakfast potatoes are incredible! And they offer an option with gravy and bacon and green onions which was also excellent! Their mimosas are not in tiny little fluted champagne glasses. It's in a full-on 10 ounce wine glass! For $7! Too bad we don't live around here and can't come back here more often. But if you're passing through or you live in this area be sure and stop by. Their menu is extensive and wonderful. If I was closer I would come back all the time and try all the stuff. This is the Hawaiian strawberry cream cheese rolls that they make. OK let me tell you, The Waffle Bite Restarant is the best thing that's happened to my Igo / Ono 273 area in a very long time. I just discovered they're the same family that provides beautiful and delicious food for many at Country Waffle and now a brand new one Luna's on Churn Creek. (Formerly Frita's). Makes me very happy because I just have to drop down Clear Creek to get to The Waffle Bite. It goes beyond just being convenient, I ordered a senior waffle combination and they put a little caramel butter sauce on it with pecans, whipped cream. that very first bite of the waffle bite was sooooooo freaking amazing. I have photos to prove that I couldn't even wait to eat it before I took the first photo and then the second photo is me scraping every last morsel off of the plate because it was just that good. This used to be the Sonoma Joe's here but they dress it up so nice. So, it's simple but beautiful. I could make a video of it but I don't wanna tease you guys too much. The staff is phenomenal; I go without wanting anything. they cover everything! I've had my coffee topped off three times and I've only been here a half an hour ....hello that's great service. However if you are driving through and/ or have taste buds then opt for the nearest gas station to get some quality food. Brown avacado, undercooked eggs and lackluster matcha are some of the delicacies you can expect, rivaled only by top tier Michelin restaurants... service would be great if they advertised themselves as a water park. Bring a swimsuit as the waitress may be drunk or may just enjoy covering every square inch of your dining area in ice cold water. Want strawberry jam? Don't worry they have plenty of grape jams. Our table was wiped off but, clean I would say NO. It was old and rundown but, that is just one part. Our waffles where tasteless my peach waffle was bad it tasted like canned peaches with a old taste. My daughters ordered a waffle it was tasteless too her eggs where dry and the sausage was not cooked like pink and cold. When we told the waitress she said she just heard the same thing from another table. She came back with bacon instead and mind you I know they pre cooked but dang she went to the kitchen and came right back in less than 60 seconds. Now my daughter has cold bacon with dried fat on the bottom side. This experience is all bad!! I will never recommend nor will I go and waste my money at this place!!! Really good service. I wish I would have gotten our waitress's name. She was really fun & friendly, yet also professional. The owner of this restaurant also owns Country Waffle on Park Marina & we just learned Luna's on Churn Creek, which if you haven't been recently, has a really good, new menu. All 3 restaurants are clean & have attentive staff. There will always be one who had a bad day at any place customer service related but one would be hard pressed to find that person often at any of these establishments. This particular restaurant offers a full page of different flavored mimosas. My husband & I went in for a quick bite at a new to us restaurant & conversed with a couple women also in for the same reason, but who opted to try out the expansive mimosa menu. They had 3 & liked all of them so far. We opted for coffee (they offer vanilla creamer & no charge for non dairy. Just ask!) I tried the lemon blueberry crepes & asked for no powdered sugar. The crepe was a little more fluffy than typical crepes but good. Maybe it was a thinned pancake patter? The filling was the typical sweet cream but also had cottage cheese in it which I'm not a fan of. Just ask what's in things if you don't love something or ask them to omit an ingredient. One visitor mentioned there was no mention of onion in the menu description yet when her food arrived, it contained onion. To prevent that, simply ask them "if this comes w/onion, can we omit that please?" I should have asked about the addition of cottage cheese as some restaurants add it & being my 1st visit, I didn't know. My husband ordered the bone in ham which was really flavorful & not overly salty as some can be. It wasn't greasy either. He added a little salt & pepper to the hashbrowns & had a choice of those or house potatoes. Overall, the experience was really good & the restaurant is clean. We were seated immediately & got to choose where to sit. There are large party tables toward the back & a bar to sit at. This location would be perfect for a girls day out, luncheon, babyshower, engagement or wedding day breakfast with a ton of mimosa options. The food took about 15 minutes to come which is typical & probably quicker than other places like Black Bear that keep people waiting. The owner can be seen on the floor & is really friendly. Get a cup of coffee from him & make conversation. He is a great person & according to his employees at any one of his restaurants, he's a wonderful person to work for. I was staying at an AirBNB about a quarter mile from this place, so I opted to have breakfast here since it was in walking distance. Wait staff was very kind and we were seated right away. During this visit it was 95 degrees, but the only coffee option was for a piping hot coffee - no iced or cold brew. I can respect that not every establishment will be set up for that. Then we ordered. My husband got an apple waffle with a side of two eggs and two sausage links. I got the Bacon Cheesy Wrap that comes with a side of fruit. I often prefer to ask for "no onions" on most of my food, and the bacon cheesy wrap was listed on the menu as having eggs, cheese, potato, bacon, and jalapeños. This menu item did not have onions listed under the ingredients. When the server brought me my wrap, it was missing the fruit. She told me that what the cook had put on my plate was, in her opinion, "not enough" so she said she would come back with my fruit. She did shortly within a minute or two. The fresh fruit was not fresh, and had multiple soft rotten grapes in it. There were a few pieces of cantaloupe and honeydew melon that tasted alright. The bummer about the wrap was that it had a ton of onions in it. I would have specified no onions, had it been listed on the menu, but it wasn't. This item on the menu also said it had jalapeños in it, but it didn't. In place of the jalapeños were flavorless discolored green bell peppers. While staff was friendly and attentive with water and coffee service, I would not choose to return here. The food was mediocre and what is listed on their menu does not match up with what you get. read more

The decor is dated but considering the relation to Country Waffle I am not surprised. The restaurant in general is clean which is all that matters to me. The servers are friendly, quick, and eager to serve. I have now been here a couple of times and every time the food has been good.
