My friend and I went here for bunch and I was skeptical because this building was a Denny's for decades, but don't be fooled, this is NO Denny's! Everything on the menu looked so good and our server had to come back 3 times to ask if we were ready. We finally each decided on something savory, but ended up splitting the Churro French Toast (because how can you resist something like that?!). My Latino Heat Skillet was so good and super flavorful. I could tell it was made with quality ingredients and wasn't greasy at all. I will definitely order it again. My friend loved her meal as well but we both indulged in, and loved the Churro French Toast. It's perfectly sweet so you don't need syrup and the flavor and texture, with the balance of crunchy and soft, is perfection. Everyone was super friendly, we were greeted nicely, our server was fabulous and as we were leaving everyone said bye to us as we walked out. I am SO glad my friend suggested us eating here and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a new breakfast spot in town. 2 1/2 stars We decided to give this place a try this morning (around 820 - this early on a Sunday morning in Redding is a great time to beat the rush) after reading some reviews. We were greeted and seated promptly with the majority of seating empty. We were quickly offered drinks. Great music playing too. Randy ordered the classic eggs Benedict. The eggs were perfect runny-wise. The English muffin was also cooked perfectly. The hollandaise wasn't super flavorful and the ham steak is thicker than he would have liked. There were grisly spots. His hash browns were ok. They were browned well. That's important lol. I ordered the Redding skillet after sampling the gravy which, contrary to a Yelp review I read, was quite flavorful. The eggs on top were good, and that's about where the good ended for me. My hash browns were way over cooked on one side (a couple sections were burnt and tasted bitter from it) and the onions were weirdly cut with some large chunks that didn't work for me. My bread was served toasted but cold. The portions are large and I didn't finish mine. Our server was great. She was friendly and refilled Randy's coffee multiple times. Took a while to check out as their computers were down and the QR code on the receipt for paying couldn't find our receipt. One of the girls at the registers said their wifi went out yesterday. This was a very concerning and unacceptable experience. My son was served spoiled milk--something that should never happen in any restaurant, especially when serving a child. The milk had an obvious bad smell and taste, making it clearly unsafe. What's even more troubling is how the situation was handled. There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the seriousness of serving spoiled dairy, and no effort to address our concerns. They did not charge, but we just wanted to have a clear statement of the spoiled milk. The server talked to another server that that was just a spoiled milk and she already replaced it. It is an indication of how they consider the food safety Let me be clear: this is not just about replacing a bad item. Serving spoiled milk is a food safety issue with potential health consequences. The complete lack of urgency, accountability, or basic communication from the staff is unacceptable. It is extremely concerning that the team did not seem to recognize or care about the risk involved, especially when it comes to a child's health. I am documenting this experience publicly so others are aware, and privately in case any health issues arise as a result of this incident. Management needs to take a serious look at both their food handling practices and how their staff respond to situations that involve customer safety. read more

The service was terrible. My husband's drink was flat. We let her know and she took the drink, and never asked him if he wanted anything else while he waited for them to fix the soda machine. When he finally got his second soda back it was also flat. He got stuffed french toast that was supposed to have compote strawberries. When the order came out incorrect they said no, that's right. He showed her the menu and he was correct. At check out she pointed to the kitchen manager and said "he didn't even know thats how those were made" I ordered biscuits and gravy and my biscuits were cold and even a bit frozen in the middle. Went in on a Saturday morning a little before 930am, we were quickly sat. Food took a while to come out but it was fairly busy! So have a little patience. My eggs and bennie was good: THIIICK ham slice but very very salty. So do not add more salt if you do that normally to any meal! My dad has the biscuits and gravy and the gravy was lackluster in flavor. But still alright. Mom had corn beef hash with poached eggs (recommended) and super good!!!! The service was great! A lot of the same employees from Logan's roadhouse so it's expected that you will have great service! Parking is mehhh. My caramel apple mimosa WAS SO SO SO good!!!! It had shimmer in it!! The Brunch house was buzzing when we came, the food was delicious! They use 'R&R meats' and bread and pies from when 'Pie meets Breads' which you can taste. Their Menu is innovative and new, which we really appreciated. Service is very friendly and they try their best to make it quick and easy. The Ambiance is a renovated old diner (I think a Denny's). They didn't do any decoration really, so it could be a bit more cozy. But I would go again just because the food was so good!! read more

I ordered the chicken fried steak on the Early Bird Special for $10, and it was the BEST! Great seasoned breading and sausage gravy with big sausage chunks along with crispy hash browns! DELICIOUS!! We wanted to like this place so much.... 1. Chicken and waffles is not fried chicken, like the menu says...it is deep fried chunks of chicken. Obviously done in the deep fryer and so overdone when served to my partner, by one of the owners, we couldn't tell what it was. We asked and they said it was the chicken but it ended up being inedible. It shouldnt have been served. We sent it back. The second plate was slightly better on the chicken, although the way they are deep frying it makes it resemble chicken jerky rather than fried chicken. It was supposed to be topped with a spicy maple butter but was instead drowned in maple syrup with red pepper flakes that had been reduced and now had the consistency of a think caramel....way to sweet and sticky. I had the classic eggs benidict. The server/owner said the hollandaise was "made in house". They also had a maltaise sauce (which is hollandaise with blood orange added). I opted for the classic benidict and subbed to get the maltaise sauce. The eggs were well poached but that was about it. The English muffin was cooked on the flattop not toasted, the ham was ok, but it was the biggest thing on the plate and cut rather thick. The maltaise sauce was ok....but thin and I couldn't really taste the citrus zing I was looking for. The hash browns were super dry and overdone. The server/ owner brought my partner a side of home fries, unasked for... WOW they were bad. Potatoes were cut small, bite sized and deep fried...onions and multiple colored bell peppers were Julianne cut and cooked on the flattop or maybe a skillet. Looked horrible... taste was bad too...no seasoning and onions and peppers were mostly raw. Finally they put micro-greens on literally everything they served us. That weird and it's gonna get expensive. Also no one wants micro- greens with syrup, or hash browns...just saying. They have only been open 8 days so they might get it together...I'll check reviews before we go back. But hey at the very least your food should match the menu descriptions read more

We have been to eat at this restaurant twice and planning on going more. Everyone is so sweet. Food taste good the only thing I would say is if you get potatoes and eggs make sure to get the eggs on the side just because if you are a picky egg person you done want them on the same plate. The potatoes have crystal salt, which is makes the potatoes yummy but has a crunch. The ham steak is good and also the waffles. Nice clean areas with open windows. read more

We had 6 people and would say loved the staff, but everything that was off that day we were seated, and the table was wet, so we took a napkin to wipe it, and it was very dirty. Then, out of 6 of us, 2 had dirty spoons and forks after getting our drinks, and one had something flooding in the cup out of 3 coffee drinks; only one was drunk, the other just tasted like a glass of milk, and one plate of eggs was raw, the waffles were burned, and one person shared the pancakes But almosted all the food and drink was on the table they never ofter to take anything off bills was paid in full But they asked nd I told them we ended up getting plasic spoon and fork This was my first and last they have good review So not sure if we just had the worst or off day read more

My omelette was excellent- chock full of fresh vegetables. Old school diner style means you can watch the cook staff and man they are busting their butts working hard back there. I think I've tried them all and this has been the best food so far. I had the biscuits and gravy, 3 eggs and fried potatoes. The biscuits and gravy were perfect. The eggs were buttery and the fried potatoes, which I ordered extra crispy, were better than I can make at home. A shoutout to the person who cooked my food today. Perfection. And the food is nothing short of spectacular! I've dined there three times now, and each visit has been a delight. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, with flavors that stand out. Simple dishes like eggs over easy and hash browns are possibly the best I've ever had, and the stuffed French toast is outstanding. I also tried a salad-though I'm not certain of the exact name- it tasted like it was fresh from the garden.
