Food was good, excellent service from the waitress, and menu has many unique choices especially when it comes to drinks. The owner is also very involved and helpful. He saw us taking a picture and came up and asked if he could take one for us.

I hate to give this review, but they've earned it. We got the chicken and waffles through DoorDash and first thing first there was a massive piece of hair In both the chicken and the waffle . Now, obviously, the hair is an entangling every piece of the food so even though I was extremely discussed that I still wanted to give it a try and the food sucks as well The chicken is not seasoned at all, the eggs weren't seasoned at all the waffle .. because the piece of hair had lint on it. I didn't even try the waffle, but either way it was an extremely big letdown on possibly one of my most hungriest mornings. I think what really gets me is the fact that because the hair was underneath the waffle, I know you had the opportunity to at least see that there was hair in the Tego container and being that you had hair in both it's just statistically likely that you have hair and majority of your food.

    Cookies'n'cream Waffle

A cute, old fashioned but modern feeling diner! We were seated quickly, and servers were very friendly and attentive. Ended up getting the cookies'n'cream waffle, and it was so good. Waffle was soft on the inside, and crispy on outside, and super sweet, decadent, and delicious. Would definitely recommend trying it out, plenty of options for everyone!

First time at waffle bites, got to try a new item. Not on the menu yet. Will be on the new menu soon. Chile relleno burrito. A very good burrito, I would order with extra grilled onions and ask them for a jalapeno salsa on the side.

Birdseye view makes it seem smaller but the waffle alone filled me up.

This may be the most slept-on foodie spot in Redding. Not only do they kill it with their breakfast, but they also do coffee to-go and amazing lunches (daily specials too). Their staff is very friendly, honest and helpful. During my last trip to town, I went every morning for coffee and breakfast. Will do the same next visit too.

Best brunch spot in town! Hands down! Great service. Great location and vibe is always cool!

Breakfast in Redding this morning. Overall, it was fine but dang, it was so expensive. Breakfast burrito looks much better than it tasted. It was fine but overfilled with potatoes; the same goes for the fajitas. Oddly enough, the least visually appealing meal (the country fried steak) actually tasted the best. Service was great, food was average.

Great service and Fantastic food, my favorite breakfast in town! We got a Dubai chocolate waffle, one of their March specials. We also got Reese's peanut butter crêpes and a classic eggs Benedict. So good!

I was very impressed with the food but also loved their fruit syrup that you can smoother on the waffle. You could tell that it was fresh and make in house along with the waffle. Nice thick moist battered waffle. Service was very friendly and food came out fairly quickly as they were fairly busy. Very nice local spot for great comfort food. My only feedback would be is that they need better signage to promote that they are there. Excited for this businesses growth

Mango sticky rice pancakes were 10/10! I honestly did not think I would like them as much as I did. Definitely big enough to share between 2 people as well.

Update! Try the bacon blast also and excellent fruit cup!! Waffle Bite is hands-down the best breakfast spot in Redding, California! The food is a one-of-a-kind Mexican-Louisiana-Southern fusion that you won't find anywhere else in Northern California--or even the Bay Area. Every dish is packed with bold, unique flavors that keep you coming back for more. Manager Crystal and her amazing staff make every visit a joy with their kindness and welcoming vibe. Whether you're dining in or ordering through DoorDash, the food is always fresh, delicious, and perfectly prepared. Bring your friends, family, neighbors, or even grandma and grandpa--this place is exceptional and will not disappoint. Do yourself a favor and check out Waffle Bite for an unforgettable meal!

    Linguica skillet with hash browns
    Sandy M.

Came here for breakfast on Saturday around 11am and it was pretty empty inside. Service was pretty quick. After looking through the menu a few times, decided on strawberry shortcake mimosa, spicy chicken and waffles, and linguica skillet (which is basically a scramble, with hash browns on the bottom). Note that it will take 15-20 min for the fried chicken, but it's worth the wait! Strawberry shortcake mimosa: 2/5 it looks prettier than it tastes. I'd skip this! It just some sparkling wine with some strawberry juice/syrup and whipped cream on top. Spicy chicken and waffles: 5/5. Wow, this was very good. The chicken has great Cajun-ish seasoning, the skin is perfectly fried and crispy, the chicken was juicy. The waffles were great as well. It seems to have some almond flour in it from the taste of it. Waffles were light, slight crunch, nice chew. It was very good. Well worth the wait! Must try! Linguica skillet: 3/5. It's pretty basic and doesn't stand out. Hash browns were on the bottom of it and it has a bit of a crunch. The pancakes that came with it were fluffy and moist, and it has a little crunch on the edges, which was wonderful. Overall pretty standard dish. Overall nice little brunch spot and definitely get the chicken and waffles.

Avocado tostada with chorizo, queso fresco, eggs and a side of fresh fruit! Delicious!

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

I starved myself knowing I was coming here for dinner. The portions are very generous. We started with a trio of Venetian Arancini (fried risotto balls). Light crispy and great for sharing. They are huge and very tasty. The other appetizer we tried was the fried crispy Brussels sprouts with a most delicious dipping sauce. We also shared their apple prosciutto salad with candied pecans, and bits of Gorgonzola cheese. The matchstick slices of apple ensured you had a bit of sweet crunch with each bite. Very yummy. I would have this as an entree salad next time. I ordered the daily special. A fire roasted salmon belly curled in a circle and a 2 big stalks of asparagus sticking straight up. The salmon was on a bed of mashed potato surrounded on a simple butter sauce. Again a very big entree. The local petrale sole was huge and served with wilted spinach, olive oil mashed potato and with a brown butter sauce. We were so full but made room for a serving of Dutch apple crisp with a dollop of ice cream. They have a full bar so we had a lemon drop and Hendricks and tonic.

The Gnocchi was the best I've ever had, with incredible flavor depth. We paired these with Grand Ardeche from Louis Latour, a really nice buttery Chardonnay. The servers were super friendly, the atmosphere is cozy, and there was a steady stream of regulars while I was here. I was initially excited for my meal but the food wasn't to my taste. The menu states that classic plates and omelettes come with garlic herb potatoes and choice of toast, biscuit, or pancake. My corned beef hash plate ($16.50) was pretty lackluster and underseasoned. The corned beef was mushy and more fine textured than what I'm accustomed to. However, the potatoes in my hash were decently browned and my eggs were cooked over easy as requested. The pancake was fluffy and came with pats of salted butter, but the pancake itself tasted like it was made from a mix. A server kindly brought over some homemade mixed berry, strawberry, and mango jams that made the pancake more interesting to eat. The warmed bottle of syrup on the table was a thoughtful touch. I didn't get a side of garlic herb potatoes with my plate, so I asked a server about it and they said my corned beef hash was already made with potatoes so it wasn't included. Maybe the menu wasn't updated or there was a misunderstanding, but I do see that another user posted their corned beef hash plate which did come with the garlic herb potatoes. My dining companion ordered the "pearl waffle" plate ($13.50) which had 2 Liège style waffles, whipped cream, and fruit. I ate some of the waffle and enjoyed crunching on the pearl sugar. It was nice with a smear of jam. The waffles are pretty small so if you have a hearty appetite, you might want to order an additional side. They ordered some scrambled eggs ($4.50) to round out their meal and said the eggs were fine. I don't think I'll be coming back but I definitely see why it's a local favorite. It's just not the best breakfast place for me and that's okay! Some non-food details: friendly and efficient service, indoor and outdoor seating, and decent amount of onsite parking + street parking available if needed.
