    Avocado Toast

Had to rush out the door this morning, so I picked up breakfast from here. Tried a new item, Avocado Toast! I've had it at home many times, but this one was extremely fancy! Hearty-grain, thick bread with avocado and hard boiled egg, topped with cojita cheese, pickled red onion, and micro greens. Super yummy! I think the consistency of the micro greens threw me off a little bit personally, but I felt so good eating it knowing it was good for my body and super fresh. As always, the vibe in the café was super chill and everyone was extremely friendly. I love coming to this place!

What's up Yelpies If you live in Redding and haven't been here you're missing out in a big way.... The staff is amazing and the food is on point. No need to go to Star-Ducks for a coffee and fake food when you can get your caffeine hook up and real food to go or eat in. But wait theres more .... The inside or outdoor seating is great so you can get your work done and enjoy the rest of your day. This was a very refreshing experience for a road warrior like myself .

We chose Woody's because our little one wanted mac 'n cheese and they have some of the best in town! I cannot rave enough about the restaurant and how well they handled the party. The booking process was easy and completed via e-mail. This aspect was handy as I didn't have to leave the house or make a phone call on a busy day. The gentleman I spoke to answered all of my questions during the booking process. On the day of the party, we showed up a few minutes early to put up some decorations. A waitress and waiter came and greeted us right away. The owner even came by, promptly, and introduced himself to me. The kindess and professionalism was outstanding. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name! I feel terribly that I can't provide it.) did an outstanding job! We were a big group of people and she took all of our orders, answered questions, and helped us with anything we needed. I hope it can be determined who worked that day so she can be given her kudos as she was lovely! Lastly, the kitchen staff did a great job getting our food out in a timely manner. I was impressed by their speed and the food was delicious. As the restaurant was busy, we didn't have a chance to say thank you one final time before we left. So, thank you again, Woody's! You guys made the party enjoyable and easy for us. We felt we could take a step back and enjoy our daughter's day! :)

Located in the Placer Heights Plaza, next to Starbucks. Same plaza as Holiday Market and CVS Pharmacy. We were seated immediately as they were not busy. The menu was a bit different than online. Our server came to take our order. He didn't introduce himself and seemed like he didn't want to be there. We decided on the fried green tomatoes, fried chicken sandwich and catfish po' boy. When the po' boy came out, we thought it was burnt! We didn't know the catfish will be blackened by default. We thought it will be fried since it is a po' boy. The options can be blackened or fried based on the menu online. We were not given those options by our server. They brought out the food but didnt provide utensils until minutes later. Fried green tomatoes: It was good. Fried perfectly. The dressing that was tossed with the side salad was super salty. Catfish po' boy: Fish was tender but super salty as well. Fried chicken sandwich: Pretty good sandwich. Chicken was huge. The fries was so soggy, not crispy at all. Also very greasy. We were a bit disappointed as we drove out of our way to try this place. Nice ambiance though. I felt I was a bit underdressed lol

Staff was friendly whipped up some spicy salsa for me since my breakfast burrito needed a little kick and was very attentive. There's a good amount of seating for the size of the place and they had a small bar area which I thought was a nice touch. Solid little spot of people to stop by and grab a bite to eat.

I've had their breakfast, all American and continental, pretty quick service. There's happy hour in the early afternoon and some snacks but if there's tons of people then dinner can get busy. Probably easier to go up to the bar to order than table service. I ordered the salad with steak medium rare, it was really good and a large amount. The steak was good, people were satisfied with their meals and it was easy especially if you were staying at this hotel. This being my first time I asked to see the menu. The menu is quite small not many options to choose from so I went with the New York steak and mashed potatoes for dinner, which was amazing. The steak was so juicy and tender. To be honest. I didn't expect it to be that good. So I didn't know what beer tabs or beer bottles they had available. I asked the bartender if they had a beer menu and quickly he answered NO. I also noticed and attitude on his tone of voice and the way he said it. I ignored it and just said, can I have whatever IPA you have. My food came out around 10 minutes after and still he had not bring me my IPA yet. I started eating my steak without anything to drink until I had to wave him down and remind him of my IPA. I totally forgot his name, but I'm sure he's the main bartender at this place. He's an older man with white beard.

I starved myself knowing I was coming here for dinner. The portions are very generous. We started with a trio of Venetian Arancini (fried risotto balls). Light crispy and great for sharing. They are huge and very tasty. The other appetizer we tried was the fried crispy Brussels sprouts with a most delicious dipping sauce. We also shared their apple prosciutto salad with candied pecans, and bits of Gorgonzola cheese. The matchstick slices of apple ensured you had a bit of sweet crunch with each bite. Very yummy. I would have this as an entree salad next time. I ordered the daily special. A fire roasted salmon belly curled in a circle and a 2 big stalks of asparagus sticking straight up. The salmon was on a bed of mashed potato surrounded on a simple butter sauce. Again a very big entree. The local petrale sole was huge and served with wilted spinach, olive oil mashed potato and with a brown butter sauce. We were so full but made room for a serving of Dutch apple crisp with a dollop of ice cream. They have a full bar so we had a lemon drop and Hendricks and tonic.
