SO much better than the Colfax location. The music is normal. The service is friendly. The donuts are the same. Yes, Blue Star is better than Voodoo, and there are donut places better than Blue Star. That being said, most food in Denver has to be rated with a lens that takes our subpar food city into account. Voodoo gives us a fun donut place, but what makes this location great is that it's big in a setting that makes you actually want to sit and hang out for a while. It has plenty of seating, and its Broadway location is a great addition to the neighborhood. read more

Nothing GF so 4 star otherwise this place is awesome! Great selection of donuts from ODB to Ginormous Apple fritter with some traditional ones like boston creme. Atmosphere is club music with chandeliers. The magic is in the hole! Fun slogan. Where else pink n black paint decorated fun? The line goes fast too btw so dont worry bout that! read more

Gonna start this out by saying I'm not a big fan of doughnuts (I know all of you just gasped out of disgust). That being said, I friggin love this place. We were walking around Broadway and decided to pop into Voodoo Doughnut. The fun decor and bright colors drew us in. The inside is spacious, fun, and inviting. I was so pumped that all the doughnuts were in spinning cases by the registers. It's a little awkward to peek at the doughnuts because of where the cases are placed, but dooooo it. Don't be that person holding up the line because you didn't make your picks (we wanna eat, not drool and stare). The staff were so friendly and helpful. They gave great suggestions and weighed in on my selections - the School Daze PB&J and the maple cream. My favorite was the maple cream. I loved the glaze and the maple cream. Such a great doughnut. The School Daze was just like an old school PB&J - jelly filling and just the right amount of peanut butter. I was a little surprised it didn't have a glaze/icing of some sort, but it was a good surprise. Definitely coming back and bringing friends. read more

If you love doughnuts this is the place for you. They have a nice selection of fun flavors and they're always open. I ordered after 4pm in the afternoon and they were so soft and fresh, I was amazed. My boyfriend who thinks all doughnuts are the same was equally won over and loved every bite. read more

Ok I don't usually review chain restaurants but this place has some of the best donuts! I has the blueberry cake and the regular chocolate frosted and both were delicious! They weren't even expensive considering the quality of the donuts. I'll definitely be back to a Voodoo soon! read more

It's a must if you are in Denver. Super vegan friendly, and you don't always have to stand in a huge line (this time we came around 4:30 pm on Friday, and we basically had the entire place to ourselves). Plenty of street parking, lots of cute stores and restaurants if you just walk off your donut afterwards. read more

The donuts taste and look amazing! Reason why I'm not giving 4 stars is because of their packaging. How are you gonna stuff 12 fairly big donuts in a box that doesn't fit them. They have to stack them on to each other making it all messy. People have to dig for the donut they want. Please improve this. It's the small things that matter. read more

Voodoo was my first and last stop in Denver. When I arrived I stopped in and got the Memphis Mafia and a cherry one that was the flavor of the month. Both were delish. I stopped by again on my way to the airport and picked up a Voodoo Dozen to bring home for the kids. Unfortunately even though the flight from Denver to Vegas isn't long the donuts did not travel well and arrived a bit soggy and stuck together. I think they may have gotten warm on the plane. I was visiting a friend in Denver and they wanted to take us to Voodoo donuts, and to be honest I was never intrigued by the "crazy" options they have to offer, and I'm glad to say I was proved wrong and would recommend to anyone that loves sweets! I had the Dirt donut and it was essentially a cookies and cream donut and wow was it great! I also tried the old dirty bastard, not pictured, and it was a must have for any PB and chocolate lover! I also want to note that they actually do have "normal" donuts like glazed, cake, twisted, etc. which I was unaware of and not expecting; so if you're more of a donut traditionalist, based on how delicious the custom ones were, I'm sure those would be great too! read more

So, a while back I said that Voodoo was overrated, back in my young arrogant days when I could eat donuts whenever I wanted with very little punishment. Now that I am older and wiser and have post-chemo food allergies that mean I cannot have dairy or egg, I appreciate everything that Voodoo has to offer. For me, that's a delicious vegan donut. It's hard to find a good vegan donut, and somehow they deliver every time. read more

I LOVE donuts, seriously, they are my addiction. I love trying new gourmet donut places whenever I travel. Had heard about Voodoo Donuts so when I saw one in Denver we made a Pit stop. I was in heaven. There was merchandise and a spinning donut case. Every donut you could imagine. While I loved looking at them and reading all the crazy names I just wanted my standard, chocolate glazed donut. I have to say it was the best chocolate donut I have ever had. It was slightly bigger than most, fluffier and seemed like double chocolate glaze dipped. It was amazing and I can't wait to have another. I will say it was CRAZY expensive and I bought a Voodoo donut mug that had a hairline fracture and leaked. Never got to use it and paid 20.00 for it. They lose a star for the price and the mug.... But I WILL BE BACK!! read more

The donuts are on the pricier side, but the extravagant flavors make up for it. My personal favorites are the cap and crunch donut and the old dirty bastard! The voodoo donut was too overwhelming for me and had a very strong artificial flavor that left a horrible aftertaste. Was brought here last week after dinner. This place had so many donut selections I had no idea what to get! Lol then I made the mistake of asking the employee, what's the most popular one? And then the friendly employee actually went in depth about all the popular donuts and had me second guessing what I wanted. Anyways, I ended up with "The Dirt" donut which was basically a giant donut with vanilla frosting and oreo crumbles on top. Amazing selection of both yeast and cake doughnuts - the yeast donuts are THICC and the fluffiest ones I've seen anywhere, with the most unique and flavorful toppings. I am especially fond of the Cap'n Crunch one (also because it is beautiful) and the Very Berry Hibiscus and the Oreo Crunch and the Blueberry Cake. You know you may feel like the breadth and size of one compels you to split it with a friend... but in that case, just get two flavors and split both so you can try more flavors and not regret having any less of a donut than you know you want. read more

Just left the store. Beautiful day out in Denver and decided to get some donuts. First of not even greeted. The music was so loud couldn't even hear the employee. Ordered half a dozen and went to pay and guy said "oh we would prefer you use a card not cash." No signs up saying no cash. The guy literally was not going to take our money. He had such an attitude with us because we had cash. Will never step Foot in that store again. read more

Best Voodoo donut location I've been to as I've trickled down on my sweet tooth I still love a good fresh classic raised glazed donut and they did not disappoint as I must of came in right in time as a fresh batch of everything just came out they were soft and moist with no glaze chipping that's how I know if a donut is fresh or been sitting all day or for a long period of time the glaze always cracks off when I bite into one I was wowed on that first bit when no icing came off and didn't as I devoured the first one lol I tried to save the other one for later but ate it soon as I got home service was great always nice when you can tell when a cashier asks how your doing and is truly being genuine and not just part of their job and very knowledgeable on the donuts I asked about that I hadn't tried before and very familiar with pricing between the regular and specialty donuts and full or have dozen right off the top of his head that's what I consider top tier customer service! read more

I mean you can't NOT get a voodoo donut at least once if you see one. We got the classic voodoo, my spouse was boring and got the Apple fritter (which ended up being the best one!) and I just HAD to get the "cock and balls" for the pure novelty of it. My donut was hilarious, huge but wayyyy too much. It's also a Boston Cream but I felt like I should have guessed that lol. Perfect for a bachelorette party (plus they will write anything on it for free). This place is fun but pricey, it wouldn't be a weekly donut place for me but fun to do once in a while. Of course the signature donuts stay, but they're always keeping it fresh by adding new selections. The donuts are definitely thick and chewy. One is enough and very filling. The service is great! We had fun picking out our dozen and getting input from the baker. Voodoo is also fun because they keep it current by advertising things in their local community like the Broncos versus Bills playoff game, and having a specialty donut to commemorate the final season of Stranger Things. The vibe here is the same as anticipating your birthday as a kid! It's just a fun place to grab a donut.
