The first time I had gone to the salty was with a Yelp event and I was really excited to go back…read morewith my mom and my brother for breakfast. What happened? There was kind of a series of unfortunate events that were pretty avoidable in my view. We arrived at 9:30 in the morning there were two people working and nobody else in the business. We were given menus and sat down and looked at them for a while. Decided that we wanted to start with breakfast sandwiches and coffee and went up and ordered. we were then told that they were out of all of the breakfast sandwiches except for one so it would've been really easy to tell us that when we took our menus rather than waiting for us to decide and then telling us. However, because we have all spent substantial amounts of time working in the service industry, we said whatever and switched and picked out donuts and drip coffees we paid, and then we were told that the drip coffees were going to be about 10 minutes cause they had to brew a new pot now Stella customer service at that point would have been for them to say hey really sorry we're out of drip coffee can I make you an Americano instead cause usually when you're having a doughnut you're not trying to wait for a new pot of coffee to be built oh and we were also visiting with a young toddler so that puts you on their time. So we sat down and waited 10 minutes while they brewed a new coffee and picked up our donuts. When the coffees did come out even though my mom and I ordered ours exactly the same hers was scolding hot and she wasn't able to drink it for a while, but mine was the perfect temperature so not really sure how that happened. A little bit of a Goldilocks situation my brother took a drink of his coffee, and the lid wasn't put on and so he ended up with coffee all over his shirt. He at this point went and said something to the staff about our experience and they ended up giving us a gift card for part of our order which was very nice but avoidable. I was hoping that we would all be like yay the salty was awesome. Let's go there all the time. I don't know that this is gonna be the case at the end of the day. As I said all three of us have spent substantial amounts of time working in the service industry and understand that sometimes things go wrong was unfortunate here it was that the things that did go wrong could've been easily mitigated with some basic customer service.

Classic glazed is classic glazed. No notes. The cheesecake sauce on the Churro Cheesecake was kind of weird. Not sure what was happening there. 7/10 because you didn't have the Memphis Mafia.

Known for their irreverent style and neon-pink boxes, the Denver Airport location manages to keep the "Keep Weird" spirit alive. The Flavor Lineup: We dived into a curated selection of their signature yeast and cake doughnuts. Here is the breakdown: * The Voodoo Doll: The iconic signature. Beyond the playful aesthetics, the chocolate frosting is rich, and the raspberry jelly filling provides a sharp, tart contrast that cuts through the sweetness perfectly. * Banana Cream Pie: This was a standout. The filling is smooth without being overly synthetic, mimicking the comfort of a classic diner pie. It's a heavy hitter, so come hungry. * Mango Cream: A refreshing tropical twist. The mango flavor is bright and punchy--a nice departure from the more traditional chocolate-heavy options. * Strawberry Pop-Tart: This is pure nostalgia. The crunch of the crumbled pastry on top adds a fantastic textural element to the soft, pillowy dough. The Experience: The staff handles the high-volume airport rush with impressive speed, and the doughnuts tasted remarkably fresh--not "reheated" or stale, which can be a risk in transit hubs. While the line can look intimidating, it moves quickly, and the pink box is basically the ultimate status symbol at the gate.

The variety of toppings makes it fun to mix and match. The Thai Peanut was unique and surprisingly good, but the Mexican Chocolate was the clear favorite at the table. I had the avocado toast. The side salad was a standout -- spinach, small orange slices, and a berry vinaigrette. Super fresh, light, and refreshing. My husband got the biscuits and gravy and said it had great flavor with a nice kick of spice. Vegetarian options were clearly labeled, with a note to ask about vegan swaps. The service, unfortunately, didn't match the food. We waited at the door for at least 10 minutes without being acknowledged. After we were seated, our server started taking our order but stopped midway to run someone else's food. We also never got water refills, and with just one napkin each for donuts and a full meal, I found myself folding and refolding mine a million different ways. Overall, service felt slow and a bit disjointed, like we weren't a priority. If the service improved, this would easily be a go-to brunch spot.
