Thinking Donuts Town recently took over and we were quite pleased! Me and my family tried this place out couple months ago, and I was pleasantly surprised of the big donuts here though they are pretty thick to the point I mostly tasted bread rather than the frosting. I have had some fantastic donuts but winchells/ donut town is the absolute best donut I have ever had. I came in about noon on a Sunday and they had plenty of selection left. I was also quite pleased with the price, the donuts are large and in a world where even Krispy Kreme's dozen costs 18 bucks I would much rather send the same amount for what I had. They were very quick and friendly. We got in and out of there in 3 minutes. Can't say enough good things read more

I live down the block and go here often. Their donuts are generally good with a good selection most of the time. The prices seem a little high to me, but i've never been a regular at other donut places. The staff is generally good-natured and unfortunately for them this place is rarely busy. Too bad because the donuts are worth it. I dock them 1 star though for their non-bakery food -- I ordered a breakfast sandwich here once and watched a sandwich pulled out of the freezer and popped into the microwave. I was not surprised when the sandwich tasted rubbery, way too hot in parts and very soggy in parts. After one bite, it hit the trash. I had to order late at night for a birthday the following morning; and I got the same awesome fresh quality as when I ordered earlier in the day. The personal note on the box was just touching, too. Another swing another huge miss from these guys. Won't ever be going back. Ordered a half dozen and selected the ones I wanted for delivery. Also ordered a coolie or whatever the iced frap is. Every donut was not what I ordered. 2 of which were covered in peanuts in which I'm deathly allergic. The coolie had no vanilla or caramel flavoring. I love it, it's cute, it's 24/7, the workers are so nice and welcoming, and they have so many choices on doughnuts and drinks. But what's even more impressive and than just their title, is that they also sell various breakfast menu items like bagels and sandwiches. I do get afraid that they are open all day/night, because they are located in the middle of a very sketchy area next to a 24 hour gas station. However, the overnight employee was eager to tell us he loves the overnight! good for him. I enjoyed the transaction and thought the doughnuts were pretty good. They have Apple Fritters, Long Johns, basic chocolate and vanillas, creme filled doughnuts, Bear Claws, powdered doughnuts, Cinnamon Rolls, and my favorites: Oreo cream and swirls!!!! It's also surprisingly BIG compared to the exterior of the little "dougnuteria." Their interior has seating and dining in, and outside patio seating too. The doughnut bags are really cute and I definitely love the idea of having a 24/7 affordable sweets establishment right next door. I went in and the only person wearing a mask was the person handling my donuts. The rest of the people behind the counter weren't wearing masks even though they were standing right next to the food. This place went downhill quick. I always stop in on Tuesdays and get a dozen or two donuts for my Tuesday meetings. The donuts were fresh and the gentleman working the front was friendly. That has changed. The new guy handles food and money without gloves or washing his hands. The donuts look stale. This morning I waited through two customers, no problem. Held the door open for one as he left. When it was my turn to get my dozen, the guy working the counter notices the guy that just walked in behind me was a regular (ironically at this point I was too) and takes his order instead of mine. This place is pretty awful all around. Took over an hour and a half to get our delivery, everything was cold, and the quality was pretty horrendous. Ordered a toasted everything bagel with strawberry cream cheese, with instructions to sub plain cream cheese if they didn't have strawberry. Came on a plain bagel with strawberry jelly (it was more like processed strawberry pie filling) and plain cream cheese. Okay, fine, it happens sending instructions is always a gamble. We ordered a breakfast burrito. It came flattened, cold, flavorless, and with the consistency of baby food, everything being smashed together and indistinguishable. We questioned what was actually in it. Ordered 1/2 dozen doughnuts and they were fine, not great and not good enough to order again. Ordered 6 fluffy vanilla creams which looked good but are undercooked, cold and flavorless. Ordered several drinks, all coffees, which were cool (an hour and a half later) and half empty due to spills in the delivery driver's car. Honestly, there are a lot of places around this area with food that's at least moderately if not considerably better. We decided to try something new, and it didn't work out, which is okay. I stumbled upon this cute little doughnut shop while me and my friend were wondering around bored on a Friday night. So glad we stopped here! The doughnuts were soooo good. I got a glazed doughnut, a chocolate covered doughnut, and a diet coke. It was about 11pm, and it was a great late night snack! The atmosphere was super great. The workers seemed exhausted though!
