The sushi place is awesome! Ever since they have changed the chef, Chef Tian makes really good sushi, especially the chunky roll and the yummy roll! MUST TRY!!!! Their sushi ain't like any other super market sushi that you might get from other places, they make real sushi! Prices are reasonable. Terrific Meat Dept. Service and selection. I make it a habit of finding my favorite meat cutter (Quang )when I shop mornings. He finds me a great looking cut each and every time. Never a disappointment when I request a special meat item or have a roast done up into steaks . Quang always provides great customer treatment and really strives for optimum service. It's always a pleasure to visit the meat counter when we shop and even more gratifying to get exceptional value and quality in our purchase. read more

The most difficult thing about this store is leaving. Pavilions of Arcadia has everything from Starbucks to Laundry Services to a Panda Express. The staff are very friendly and easily accessible. However, the best thing about Pavilions are the $5 Friday deals where they sell whole roasted chickens, 20 packs of soda, and a desert item each $5. If you want to take a break from ordinary shopping, than look no further! read more

If you are looking for premium packaged food, snacks, etc., you might like Pavilions. If, like me, you want cheap and tasty meat and produce, it is mediocre at best. The selection of fruits and vegetables is average, and while everything looks waxy-shiny, the real quality is only fair. E.g., Pavilions is selling lemons right now for 90 cents per lemon, and while they are a nice bright yellow, they are not very juicy. Value Mart has better tasting lemons at 4 for a dollar. The meat and seafood selection is also poor, though what they have is good quality. If I was looking for a really premium steak or chop I might go here. Both Arcadia Supermarket and 99 Ranch have have literally 10 times the variety of meat and seafood, with half of the seafood so fresh it's still alive! For someone who is buying stuff to actually cook with, I don't recommend this Pavilions, unless you care more about going to an attractive, manicured store than quality and value. read more

This place is excellent. It offers a full deli, several fast food restaurants, and a wide selection of fresh or organic produce. The only problem with this location is parking; individuals that frequent this location will not pay attention if your car is backing. Overall, however, it's well worth coming here. read more

I can't stand the bad attitude here. I try to avoid this store but sometimes it's just unavoidable since it's the closest chain grocery store near me. My first bad exp was the fried chicken counter. I was the only person in line at the time but the 2 young counter workers just kept yapping. Well excuse me for intruding on your intellectual conversations of nothingness. Ugh....the 2nd bad exp was couple of weeks ago. I went to the dry cleaning/lottery counter. I am the only person standing there and the person behind the counter, as I recall, Kassandra with a "K" was behind the counter. She was like 2ft away but not once does make eye contact, she doesn't even acknowledge my existence. Oh I'm sorry, did I ruin your day by standing at your counter? Then last weekend I went into the store to grab couple of items, the cashier.....I believe her name is Audre or somewhere along that line had the crummiest, coldest attitude. God forbid if I purchased more. Unbelievable. The employees at this place are really horrible. They should be grateful to have a job. Can't imagine why anyone would hire them with poor attitudes. It's just a matter of time before their positions become obsolete so enjoy it while it lasts. read more

This store feels good and clean when I enter it...the people that shop here are mannered and of course I love the employees...I used to shop at Ralph's but that store hasost the human touch....Arcadia is such a nice place to shop for groceries and then get a coffee at Starbucks inside and rest for a few minutes read more

This pavillions is terrible the staff is rude and not friendly they never have their Friday specials out early in the morning you have to wait at least until 8 am or later I will never shop at this location again I started going to the monrovia store and let me tell you it's 100% better they are fully stocked and so much nicer it's a pleasure shopping there. read more

I usually like this store but may never shop there again. The person bagging my order became very upset when I requested paper bags and wanted me to know he was irritated by my request. He threw my items into bags and scowled at me. Any serious business wouldn't have a person like this dealing with the public. read more

RUDE. My encounter with the cashier today was so negative I HAD to write a review. The lady in front of me was purchasing corn but did not have a rewards card. The cashier was very rude and condescending to the customer and she refused to give her the pavilions discount. The cashier wanted her to leave her place in line and sign up for a rewards card before coming back and paying for the corn. I've seen cashiers at this location and other pavilions give customers a rewards discount even when you're not a member without a hassle. But this time this cashier seemed HELL BENT to not give her a discount on corn. I spoke up and offered to input my phone number to get her discount. The cashier stepped in and initially refused and a manager got involved. The manager gave her the okay to allow me to put in my phone number. But this whole scene could have been easily avoided instead of making a whole dang scene. Rude stuck up staff. The way the cashier treated her and her tone was so disgusting to the customer. read more

I prefer it to other markets in the area and would pass up the others to buy here. Easy to navigate the market. IMO better selection of produce. Small organic section, if you want large selections of organics then you should visit whole foods or sprouts. Starbucks, panda express, jamba juice makes it very convenient. Get a club card and be a regular here, you won't be disappointed. read more

The lunch combo is a much better deal than the pandas next door. 1 entree and two sides for 6 dollars including tax got me a roasted turkey breast, chicken salad, as well as kale salad with blueberries and pine nuts! Mmm read more

This is my spot for grocery shopping and I get all of my prescriptions filled here. Everyone is really nice; and I still like that they offer to take the groceries to my car. I've only taken them up on that a few times, but it was really helpful when I had my hands full. The pharmacist seems really good and their staff is responsive. read more

I'm taking away one star because they didn't replace the bike rack when they remodeled. Otherwise great store that is well stocked and clean. Always get good deals especially with the just for you app. I stop here on the way to or from work and it's never a hassle. Love the staff especially deli folks and the cycling green grocer. I have been shopping at this store for over 20 years, even after I moved out of the immediate area, I liked the quality of the products and the helpful, friendly staff so I continued to go out of my way to shop there. As of the last few years though, the service has declined significantly, (although prices definitely did not). The high quality of the bakery products kept me coming back so I stopped at the bakery a week in advance of an important event I was hosting and ordered an ice cream cake with some writing on it. The baker was very helpful, if I paid for the cake in advance, he would keep it for me in the freezer, ready for quick pick up on the day of my event. However, when I stopped to pick it up, the bakery was devoid of staff completely. We were told the person was at lunch so no one could help us. All I needed was for someone to open the freezer and hand me the cake. NO ONE would do it. It took me 30 minutes of actually fighting with 2 staff members, while the others watched, to get one to finally simply walk to freezer, open it, and hand me the cake. All while they were busy telling me this was not therir dept, they were supposed to be at lunch, the manager was busy with other customers and that I just had to wait some more. 30 minutes to get an already paid for cake. No one in line ahead of me, no other customer in that dept when we arrived. Totally defeated the purpose of ordering ahead of time. Needless to say, I will never set foot in that store again. Shameful, incompetent management. read more
