Pizza was very tasty - my wife and I had 2 slices with pepperoni and 1 with spinach and all were very good with a nice crust. Service was fast and the man making the pizza was super friendly, so we tipped him despite there being no wait staff or table service. The ambiance rating is very low though, with 6 small tables in a small space, but we were there for the food and not atmosphere, and left very satisfied. The prices are LOW, with our dinner of 3 specialty slices and 2 bottles of water for under $15, which is much less than other nearby places that charge more for just one personal pizza. I grew up in Bklyn and this is the pizza of my youth. You can get the crust regular or extra toasty. The staff were very friendly and accommodating! The seating is no frills but I don't need ambience when the food is delicious. My kids and I agree this beat out Vesuvio and the other fancy place we tried by miles.. and the price is amazing! The only reason this place deserves a single star is because they carry Stewarts sodas. The pizza here was some of the worst I've ever had. I ordered a slice of plain cheese and it reeked of mildew. I don't know if it was the cheese, the dough, or someone's dirty hands, but I've never, in my life, went to take a bite out of a slice of pizza and gotten a whiff of a towel that hadn't been washed in a month. Ordered a Pizza-in using Seemless. This place was the only '$' within my delivery range in Park Slope, PLUS they had a 20% off deal. Needless to say, I was very excited to start 2013 right with some pizza and odd netflix watching. The basic margarita pizza sounded just fine, and with an estimated delivery time of 30-50 minutes, I let my stomach know that everything was going to be OK. 1 HOUR LATER. I gave a call to Villa just in case the the Seemless system failed on either ends. Got the response "The deliveries are all out!" *Hang up*. 1.5 HOURS IN. Received a call from the delivery person. They had tried to deliver my pizza, but apparently I wrote the address wrong. They added 1 number to my address and in addition, they said the numbers on the cross-streets I had listed did not go that high. After looking at my seemless receipt, which had the CORRECT address on it, also meaning they had the CORRECT address, I called their bulls***. Also determined that "the numbers did not go that high" meant they did not know how to interpret what a cross-street is. If they had just apologized for the late delivery, it probably would have been OK. But saying I wrote the address wrong to buy them more time.... As for the pizza, it was terrible. Bad mood + too much sauce = Terrible. Didn't even taste good as breakfast the next morning. 2 Stars for the price, since 99Cent pizza doesn't exist in Brooklyn. read more

I can really only speak to the quality of the meatball parm sub, but it is simply the best I've ever had. I've taken to having one once a week or so. i've had the meatball sub from Table 54 right down the street and while that's good, it's disappointing compared to Villa Mia's. Don't get discouraged by the bad Yelp reviews. What emerges is a theme: people who go to the shop have a good experience, generally. People who order via Seamless, maybe not so much. I don't know why, but I do recommend that if you want hot and fresh, you go get it. You can't expect a delivery guy to get every address right every time. I finally brought my fiancee here, as she is a pizza fan and thinks Artichoke is the end-all, be-all, but I think she enjoyed her slice from Milla Via more. It's nice to know we'll both get fat and happy on something we can agree on. I've come to know the owners a bit. They are twin brothers, and only one is there on any given night, though the kitchen help/delivery guy seems to practically live there. They have been very generous with me, often offering a garlic knot or small cannoli while I wait. One owner is more gruff and reserved than the other, but they both cook amazing subs. And they definitely react positively to repeat customers. If it's comfort food I'm after, then I'm off to Milla Via. read more

Uh oh. So yesterday I was having a little Sunday Funday with my friend... which means being gigantic couch potatoes. The delivery guy got a little lost which was disheartening, but when they called for directions and I found myself speaking to a man with a thick italian accent my hopes rose. When the food finally arrived, it was more than worth the wait. The noodles were cooked perfectly and still hot and the sauce was AMAZING. So good in fact, that my friend abandoned her meal in order to share mine. And here comes the best part (or the gross part, you choose)... the pasta was so so good that we called back later to order Pizza. (I did say it was a Sunday Funday didn't I?) And of course the pizza was amazing too. It was perfect. Chewy crust, with a flavorful sauce and ample cheese. Just the way I like it. I'd give this place 5 stars, but having only ordered delivery I can't vouch for the service in house or any other items on the menu. I have been living in NYC for 25 years and I truly think this is one of the best slices in the city. The regular cheese or pepperoni slices are delicious. My personal favorite is the spinach slice, which has a lot of very fresh greens on it. It's quite clear the ingredients are better than most slice places.... the mushrooms are real, not the canned slimy kind at most pizza joints. Highly recommend! Best pizza in the neighborhood, hands down. The crust is crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside, sauce is excellent, with the perfect spicy kick to it. Don't even get me started on the chicken roll.... I don't usually like pizza rolls that much, but I tried it at the owner's suggestion and it changed my life. Normally, when you get a chicken roll, the meat is flavorless and dried out, but this is something else entirely: juicy, perfectly seasoned and full of flavor, with just enough sauce and cheese and the same amazing crust that's on the pizza. I had to go back for another the next day. The owner told me he gets his chicken fresh from a local butcher, which I have no reason to doubt. He also makes his own sauce, which is great. When I have gotten delivery, it has always been quick and everything is still hot. You can't really ask for more in a local pizza joint. read more
