This neighborhood pizza spot has been one of my favorites for a few years. This mom & pop eatery is always bustling with customers waiting on their orders. I always get my pizza to go, and it stays warm until I can devour it. My favorite is marguerita pizza and second is vodka pizza, I would like to try others but these two always hit the spot. The space is not big yet they have a few tables and counter space to dine in and it always looks pretty clean considering the foot traffiic they receive. The staff are always busy yet accommodating. I don't get on this this side of town often but when I do, I make sure I get just one slice of this thick crust, rich sauce, classic cut, Sicilian slice, pepperoni pizza with extra cheese. I also tried the Buffalo Chicken pizza for the first time and I'm in love with these thick traditional slices and that zesty chicken sauce. Large New York cuts with style and personality. You can add anything on these slices, that Margherita slice I had with extra slices tomatoes....This spot reminds me of the traditional Grandma slices (Google it) that we used to buy on Knickerbocker Ave in the eighties. I placed an order for delivery. All 5 entrées pus the garden salad were pressed into a plastic bag, 2 were put in the bag sideways. Every tin leaked and every tin was covered with tomato sauce and salad dressing. if Pronto personnel are too busy to fill orders properly, they should let the customer know to go elsewhere. I couldn't re-order because my houseguests needed to leave by 3:30. The large pizza that I also ordered save the day. When I called to complain, I was told they will take care of me next time. Pronto pizza is our favorite place to order from at work. It always arrives HOT! Today we tried the vodka pie. It was incredible. Just like the pizza we have ordered before, the toppings are great. I mean they are situated *right* across from Trader Joe's, so if you need to #treatyourself after a hefty grocery store run... well, you got your spot. 1. Their special deal is 2 cheese slices + a soda for $5.50, and that's probably the best pizza deal in the area. 2. Otherwise, they differentiate themselves in this neighborhood with their deep dish slices for $4.25. I had a grilled chicken with peppers and it was good. Some slices look meh but most are fine. They even have one with penne pasta for all you carb-aholics! Or marathoners. You know which one you are. :) 3. Cards accepted when spending $5+. Pronto Pizza have been our GrubHub go to for some time and we live about 10 blocks away and the food has always been delivered HOT. Staples we order are Veal Parm Hero, chicken Finger w fries, sicilian slice, meat tortellini with vodka sauce. Those are favorites and honestly do not have any complaints about the quality or delivery. For us a solid choice in Brooklyn. If you stop by I believe they have a 2 slices and drink special for $5.00 not bad when some other pizzerias are charging $3 or more per slice. read more

I ordered a large pepperoni pizza, 8 piece hot buffalo wings, and a buffalo chicken salad with ranch. The pizza was good! The buffalo chicken salad had so much chicken; I liked that and it came with bread which was a great addition! I was walking along Atlantic and I realized I needed some food in me. Pronto. No seriously, I actually thought that word. Lo and behold, Pronto Pizza was right in front of me. It was my density.* The place was actually pretty packed for 3 pm on a weekday, which always bodes well for the food (high turnover = fresh pies). I'm a sucker for BBQ chicken in all its forms, so after waiting my turn (the service was not as pronto as one would hope), I asked the guy to throw a slice in the oven.** It popped out a few minutes later, and I was pleasantly surprised. The BBQ chicken was fresh and tender (although the crust was a little too far on the crunchy side of crisp), and a drizzle of ranch dressing never hurt anyone. I got a grilled chicken and tomato slice for $4.25 and a beef patty with cheese for $3.50. The beef patty was pretty good I mean it's hard to mess up sneed patty. The pizza on the other hand was COLD AND HARD and it's such a disappointment because that's my favorite pizza. YOU CAN EVEN SEE IN THE PICTURE HOW COLD THE SLICE WAS. I've called in a couple whole pizzas to-go at this point and it's always pretty quick (fitting with the name), and they ALWAYS send out a great pizza. The sauce is super unique and unlike any other I've found in the area so far - tons of flavor, definitely not an out-of-the-jar scenario. I would like to compliment Pronto Pizza, because they are correctly named! Every time I order delivery to my apartment way down in DUMBO, they are super quick! Sometimes, I get my pizza within 30 minutes of when I order it. They are always nice and accommodating over the phone. I usually stick with a cheese pie, pepperoni pie and once in a while I throw some mozzarella sticks or garlic knots in there. Everything is fairly priced, the pepperoni pie I ordered was $18. With free, delivery, you can't beat it. Their pizza is tasty and not too thick or heavy. They have a nice doughy crust that is perfect for dipping in the marinara left over from your garlic knots or mozz sticks. read more

The worst! After waiting an hour for my food, they get the order wrong. We just moved so all plates and cups are in boxes. I wrote on my online order to deliver plates and cups AND I called TWICE to remind them to deliver plates and cups. Guess what they didn't bring? I ordered 2 sodas, received one. Delicious pizza, and super fast service. The pizza crust is crunchy and airy, and they nailed the cheese blend. Had the cheese pizza (excellent), Grandma's pizza (delicious), and loaded veggie pizza (delightful). They also accommodated our special request for plain buttered spaghetti for the kids, and gave us bread and butter to go with it. I see all the negative reviews on here and I got to say, I actually really like this pizza place. Pronto Pizza serves both thin crust and thick crust pizza. The pizza with toppings are the thicker crust (pan pizza) while the classic pizza is the thinner crust. Some of the options are Chicken Broccoli, Meat Lovers, Penne Vodka, Hawaiian, Bbq, Chicken Bacon Ranch, Whole Wheat, etc. They also have Garlic Knots, Calzones, Soups, Salads, Appetizers, Hero's, Rolls & Wraps. -What I've tried- Whole Wheat Pizza : 4/5 Regular Pizza : 5/5 The classic slice was so good even though it was so simple. It had the perfect crust to cheese to tomato sauce ratio and even without all the seasonings, the flavor was on pointe. The wheat slice actually had decent flavor and is worth trying out if you can't eat regular pizza bread but I personally wouldn't order again. The way they put the cheese and tomato sauce isn't like the classic pizza by the way and I just didn't like the flavor of the dough itself. Service is prompt and very friendly. I never went to the actual storefront for pizza but this was our go to spot delivery while living in brooklyn. The sweetest man always answered the phone to take our order. I can't speak to the whole menu bc a well done grandma pie was our go to order and it never disappointed! I'm over this place- completely will never order from here again. The delivery tonight was absolutely unacceptable. My usual order is a Grandma Specialty Pizza Pie and a Minestrone Soup. It was the 2nd time in the same month that my minestrone soup was delivered with 25% of it spilled all over the bag it was packed in and all over the top of my pizza box (see uploaded photos). I don't understand why their chef can't close a soup lid properly where it can't rip through the paper bag it comes in. Or, maybe the business should order better soup containers with stronger lids. I order from here so frequently because I love the Grandma Specialty ($18) and I love the Minestrone Soup ($5). I looked over the past receipts for the month of November and I spent over $150 ordering from here (just for myself)! Another time that I ordered from here, they accidentally delivered a lentil soup instead of a minestrone soup. I'm not usually the type of guy to send something back to the kitchen, especially if it was a delivery order. But, I really don't like lentil. And, if I'm paying $5 + tax + tip for a cup of soup then I expect it to be a soup that I can actually eat. So, I ended up calling the restaurant to let them know that the soup order was wrong. And, the guy over the phone (let's call him "the boss") told me that I ordered lentil soup and not minestrone soup. And, I was looking at my Seamless receipt, and it said minestrone soup. "The boss" did not take responsibility that it was completely his mistake and would not own up to it. He had to ask me what my address was. If he knew (allegedly) which delivery this was pertaining to then why would he say that I ordered a lentil soup when he didn't even know what order I was referring to? Before I got off the phone with "the boss," I asked him if I should return the soup to the delivery guy. He said "no, keep it." So, the delivery guy arrives with the minestrone soup and hands it over to me. The delivery guy tells me that "the boss wants the other soup back." This is why I refer to the guy on the phone as "the boss." If he's the boss, then he has to fix his attitude with customers. I gave the delivery guy the lentil soup and sent him on his merry way. I will absolutely miss the Grandma Specialty Pizza, but I refuse to support this business until they apologize and own up to their mishaps. read more

Downtown Brooklyn and the Atlantic Avenue corridor around BK Heights and Cobble Hill really lack quality pizza. I'm not a big fan of Reginella, Wi-Pie, or My Little. It's all Fascati for me and unfortunately, it's a bit of a walk. So, I was a bit excited to find out that another pizzeria was opening up. To be honest I was a bit skeptical of this place -- the marquee outside just screamed mediocre chain pizza or something like that. Although as it turns out, they have a sister location in Midwood on Ave R and Nostrand. I walk into Pronto Pizza, still quite skeptical, for their grand opening. I take a look at the pizzas and to my surprise, they actually look pretty good! The marinara, vodka sauce, grandma, and margherita all caught my eye. I ended up grabbing a slice of the margherita, which had fresh mozzarella, some pretty good tomato sauce, and actual freshly sliced tomatoes -- something you don't see too often in New York. These weren't sun-dried tomatoes, but freshly sliced ones covered with a bit of tomato sauce. It's something my mom actually loves -- she complained to me about the lack of pizza places that offer fresh tomatoes as pizza toppings on a recent visit to NYC. Overall the slice was actually very tasty. My one gripe is that it cost $3.50, which is a bit too steep. The one slice that really put me off from the display was the Philly Cheesesteak slice, with what appeared to be some cold and droopy American cheese over the steak. In fact that's one of my main issues with pizza places like this -- reheated slices, especially when you have so many different slices, you're bound to get an old one. It wasn't so much an issue today since Pronto was so busy. There were some other slices too that well...I'm not so sure about - BBQ Chicken and Buffalo Chicken. The space is a bit small. There are a few tables way in the back and then some counter seats. Overall, the place looks like a winner. They also offer subs, rolls, and calzones and other typical offerings (garlic knots, wings, etc). Whole pizzas range in price from 14 bucks for a plain to 20 for the specialty pies. They deliver from 10am to 11pm. I'll definitely be back to try out that vodka sauce slice though. read more
