Convenient and reliable location for delicious pizza. The prices are relatively decent for the times that we're in. The pizza is always hot, and you're able to put toppings of pepper, cheese, etc. I've had the chocolate chip cookies and zeppollies here as well. I'm not gonna pretend to know what I'm talking about when it comes to pizza because I definitely do not. I'm not ashamed to say pizza is not my fave. Yeah you heard me. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, have lived in NY my whole life but I seriously do not get the hype. That being saaaaaid, if I have a craving or a good pie is put in front of me I will eat it. Last night i had a taste for a slice and some wings out of nowhere. Lenny's had a deal on Ubereats, it was a win win. Was it the best pizza I've ever had? No. Did it get the job done? Yes. The wings though, I really liked. $6.99 for 6. Not bad at all. And they weren't those bs wings you sometimes see from pizzerias that come with tons of breading and taste frozen. What can I say? The pizza is great and reliable. The prices are really good and the service is fast. It's a classic BK/NYC pizza spot and gives you everything you need. Now, it's not necessarily the best pizza I've ever had in my life, but as a New Yorker that's an impossible standard to beat. It's also better than 99% of the pizza on Long Island (which also obviously has great pizza) meaning some of the best in the country. If I was comparing it to the rest of NYC I might give it a slightly lower rating, but I'm comparing it to the rest of NY and the rest of everywhere lol. So the five stars remain. I did takeout to take advantage of some takeout specials and a nice excuse to get out of my WFH life. There are some other places I've bought from in the past but sadly I guess some things changed with their delivery radius and was happy to give Lenny's a shot. Be careful ordering- there's a (sister?) location near Church street. Interestingly enough the pies were slightly different from either location but both were good. More of a takeout/delivery space but that's all you need. .... I may or may not have inhaled what I ordered which is a great sign. read more

I would normally be skeptical of a pizza restaurant serving Jamaican dishes, but this one is pretty damn close to Flatbush, so I figured there was a good chance we might be safe in our pick of jerk chicken, escovitch fish and pineapple Jamaican soda. Fingers crossed. I should've gone with my gut, because my gut is now unsettled--and we know I knew better. See attached picture for what they referred to as "Jerk and Mac." Before I go further, I should preface that I know a bit about Jamaican and Caribbean food, and would pay three times the price for Peppa's to deliver to my house (they won't). I get that jerk is supposed to be smoked and/or grilled and even charred in spots--but certainly not turned into full-on carbon chunks. What you'll find in the picture is what amounts to "chicken as charcoal" on top of overcooked penne dressed with a little bit of cheese. All of it was covered in bitter chicken charcoal dust. Completely inedible, even for my goatlike child who will eat just about anything. The "escovitch fish" was essentially a whole-fried small whitefish on top of the same so-called mac & cheese, with some rice and peas that were OK enough (probably the best thing we had but that's not saying much). What's sad is that when I placed this order, I was called back and informed that they didn't have any ready, and that it would be an hour before they could get it to me. I was fine with waiting that hour for what I paid for. What I got after an hour was what you see in the picture. It's like they threw the bird into fire and left it there for the whole hour. I can't believe anyone would let THAT walk out of their kitchen. Oh, and I got Fanta, not Jamaican soda, and no call to ask if I'd like something different. Not the biggest deal, but insult to injury at this point. Leaving an extra star for their super nice delivery guy. read more

Don't fucking order from this place. I placed a delivery order through EatStreet on Yelp, went through the entire purchase flow and was ghosted by Lenny's. After multiple calls to the restaurant (with no answer), EatStreet told me to "wait it out". I eventually cancelled my order after nothing showed up 30-min past the delivery ETA. Lenny's fails to indicate a stop tIme for delivery orders, so be prepared to be left in the dust hungry and waiting for a non-existent pizza. read more

Ordered two slices and a beef patty with cheese and everything was solid. They don't charge for delivery but I think there is a 10 min which was fine. The delivery dude was nice and offered to come up to the apt but for some reason they didn't take my apt number down when I called and I called twice to make sure they got it right. They also are weird about answering the phone. Took me a couple tries to get through. Update: this place is still nice but I tried to order for delivery and they tried to hit me with a 15 dollar minimum that never existed. How the hell is someone supposed to get to 15 bucks .. I want a slice not the whole kitchen. Stupid af. read more

I'm not a big fan of "Hood Italian" but during Covid Lennys has been a savior. Chicken parm hero's are good and the bread is crispy not the normal doughy crap. Pizza is good when you tell them thin crust and well done. It's important to support businesses like Lenny's otherwise you'll be stuck with Domino's which should be illegal in NYC. read more

I visited this establishment on Tuesday June 18 , 2019. It was non descript nothing fancy . They serve cake and cookies which was weird to me but whatever. They have a special 2 slices and a can of soda for 5 dollars. I ordered the special to go.. I was hungry so I ate it on the train The pizza smelled divine. It was nostalgic most pizza I buy does not have that smell. If you like pizza you know the smell Im talking about. Oh man I will contemplate trekking on the train for another slice. I've been ordering pizza from Lenny's for as long as I could remember because it's close to my home + there was never really a lot of pizza options in this part of Crown Heights/Prospect Lefferts Garden. Up until I was a teenager I had only ever had the pizza from Lenny's because that's all my parents would buy. When I became more independent in my food choices/began ordering stuff just for myself I began to try a bunch of things from their menu. The pizza is pretty decent. They've definitely improved over the years especially with the newer management/owners but at the end of the day I've had better pizzas. Not to say that there slice and pies aren't enjoyable. Lenny's definitely gets the job done when it comes to satiating that pizzeria craving. It's also worth noting that Lenny's does not sell pork products. I grew up in a Muslim household so that has always been much appreciated.The consistency of there food is pretty good too. I'm one of those people who orders the same thing over and over again when I really like it so I'm confident in my opinion towards the food. I believe frequent customers of Lenny's will tell that every so often the food/service is either exceptionally good or incredibly disappointing. But at the end of the day I'm 99.2% Lenny's will never close as it's been here for 15+ years already. The guys at the counter are really nice year round and I think they realize their place in the neighborhood. The main dude never flips out even though people hang out and make a fuss at Lenny's alllll the time. Overall I'd say that Lenny's in itself is just 'pretty good'. It's that person you give the benefit of the doubt to when they slip up cuz you're glad to have them around in the big scheme of things. The food was gross. My pizza arrived cold and it wasn't good. It Taste like Kennedy Fried Chicken pizza. No. I ordered the garlic and mozzarella roll. It was super dry. It had no cheese what so ever and they didn't even send marinara sauce. No, no. I also ordered the chicken nuggets. Terrible! They taste like the cheap frozen brand and they smells really bad. I'm not picky about a lot of food, but I AM picky about my pizza. Most pizza doesn't live up to my standards, and I really love this Lenny's. Not all of the Lenny's pizzerias in Brooklyn are satisfactory (they're very different from spot to spot) but the one on Sterling St. & Nostrand is great. The service is very good and it's one of the cleaner hole in the wall places in the neighborhood. The pizzas are huge---NY style. If you ask them to keep the pizza in a little longer so the crust gets crispy, they do it. The cheese is melty and stringy and delicious and the toppings are fresh. I don't know why this place always gets bad reviews. I've been ordering from them since 2008 and have only had good experiences. read more

I ordered DELIVERY. The guy called me to tell me to come down to pick it up. I live on the 23rd floor. There is a reason I order DELIVERY. Of course I have an elevator but if I'm going all the way down I might as well pick it up. I get down to the bottom of my building and he's nowhere to be found. I call. He informs me that he is at the corner in his car "Can you come get it," he asks. I say, "No. Its DELIVERY!" This is the second disappointing delivery. I'm bummed, I used to love the chicken tenders, and four cookies was perfect. The chicken was rubbery and greasy. The included fries were under cooked and crunchy in a bad way and way too salty. The onion rings were greasy and rubbery, as if they'd sat around for a while and then were microwaved.
