Not only did he charge my card incorrectly, he placed my order wrong as well and had the NERVE to get an attitude at me about HIS ERROR. I am a longtime Verizon shareholder and my family has been a longtime customer of Verizon. I also do not like taking time to write detailed reviews that aren't positive, but the experience I had was really not good. My parents and I went into this store on 5/4/22 to trade in 4 iPhone 10s for new iPhone 13s. My main reason for this review is to warn others that if you visit this store, try your luck with any other representative who isn't the one we got. We did not have good luck on our side and were assigned to Daniel (who is mentioned in other negative Yelp reviews for this business). For someone who decided on a career in sales/customer service, this person was not warm or friendly at all. I don't know his life story or potential personal tragedies, so I was willing to put up with it to get our transaction completed. Within two minutes of our meeting, my mother asked me in her native language, "Can we be helped by somebody else?" I thought it was an awkward request to make and that we had a simple transaction, so I told her we should just forge ahead with him and leave. Mom had the right idea, though. Daniel spoke with commission breath as he told us about the promotion where we could buy 5 accessories and get 40% off. My father and I discouraged our mother since we always purchase accessories elsewhere for much cheaper, but my mom saw a case she wanted to get and use right away. We were still 4 accessories short, and Daniel showed us a box with a charger in it, saying it was the charger used on iPhone 13s and different from the old chargers used on the iPhone 10s we were trading in. The package had a nice design, and the photo on the box showed a black, nice-looking charger. It was made by the brand Otterbox. My mom asked, "Can I see?" and he handed her the box. As my mom looked at the box, she asked, "How much is this?" Daniel said, "That's $11." My mom commented that it's a good price and decided we should get 4 chargers and the case she wanted, to reach 5 accessories. I felt the chargers seemed priced OK, to balance out the extremely-overpriced phone case my mom selected. (The same chargers that were generic-branded sold online for about $9.99.) We waited for Daniel to gather our phones and accessories. He brought them out and set them on the counter. I mentioned to my mom that the 4 chargers he brought looked different. They came in much smaller boxes, showed a photo of a cheaper-looking white charger, and the packaging was not as nicely-designed as the product she just held in her hand just minutes ago. It was clearly a generic version of the Otterbox charger he showed us. My mom asked him about the chargers looking different from the one he just showed us and told us only cost $11. He said, "No, the one I showed you is actually $25. It's the same thing, though, they both charge your iPhone." My mom was very surprised as her decision to go for 5 accessories was based on holding the box of a nice-looking charger (we all assumed this was the only charger they sold at the store) and being told it was $11. I was upset by this dishonest description of price & product but Daniel seemed to think it was no big deal, insisting that the products were the exact same and did the same thing, and that he was doing us a favor by trying to save us money. Bait and Switch schemes are AGAINST THE LAW in the state of California. When you show someone one product and tell them the price for that one product, it is your duty to not lie and to tell the truth. If you have two brands/versions with two different prices, you need to tell your customers they have options and that there are different prices for your different products. At the very least, the price coming out of your mouth needs to match the product you are simultaneously holding in your hands. The only thing worse than what he did was his reaction to what he did. He truly thought this is OK behavior. It is unclear and dishonest. We are perfectly capable of making our own decisions on which brand we want to purchase or whether we want to go with a generic one, and which prices we want to go with. We were so tired of dealing with him that we just paid and left with the phones and generic chargers/phone case. To make things right, he owes us the 4 counts of the product he showed us, and at $11 each, just as he described. He clearly showed us that this one product in his hands had the price of $11, and he did not keep his word. If he had other options available or if the price is actually for a different product in the store, that needs to be made known to customers. There's still more about the experience we had that was not good but I'm tired of typing and wanted to point out the biggest problem. read more

Absolutely horrible!!!! A Verizon Rep walked into my business I decided to change my service from spectrum to Verizon. What a huge mistake. The rep never transferred my original business phone number then he disappeared. Weeks later I found out he was fired. So now I'm stuck with a $350 phone bill a new number and no clue how to work the internet he didn't properly set up. Verizon is extremely hard to get in contact with they want to ask a million security questions before anyone helps you. I finally was able to cancel my service. The rep told me to come to this store to return the equipment. When I arrived I had to wait an entire hour while an employee tried to help me on the phone return the equipment. He was even having a hard time. So of course they wouldn't take it. Anyway they decided to send me a postage to return the equipment by mail. I take it back to my car guess what ..... after waiting weeks the postage never came. I have yet to receive the postage to return this equipment it's been in my back seat since I left the store. Now I receive a bill for $450. This company is nuts. I remember once upon a time Verizon was the best. Not anymore. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME YOU WILL BE FRUSTRATED AND PISSED OFF LIKE ME. Dropped in to this Verizon Store with a quick question 10/26/23, and my partner needed to upgrade his device. We were lucky enough to meet Rick who turned out to be the best technician/customer service agent we have ever encountered. I have been a Verizon customer for 20 years, and I have experienced a lot of Verizon negativity especially on-line. Most of us are reluctant to enter the store because of long lines and uninformed/rude agents. Rick changed our lives as to our opinion of Verizon. Verizon, please choose Rick to train your employees. One of the poorest customer treatment I've experienced. I saw the poor reviews but I was not ready for how bad it would've been for me Walked in at 6:30pm (they close at 7pm) and was greeted by a manager, Ricardo. I explained that I need a few cases exchanged due to an error when the phone rep ordered them for me. He explained that he does not have any reps available to assist me and to try coming back another time. I calmly stated that I only wanted to exchange cases and not do anything time consuming as it relates to account stuff He restated that no one can assist me and recommended that I do the exchange with their phone based customer service. I explained that I already spoken to a phone agent and they actually directed me to go into the store instead. He answered in a sarcastic way, "we cannot help you here. Thank you for understanding." I asked him one more time if he himself, as the manager, can be the one that helps me. His response, "I'm going to have to ask you to leave the store" and asked his security guard to escort me out of the store. I'm speechless. read more

I said I could drive home and be back in half an hour. I asked to make sure that when I returned I can see the next available rep. Robot Daniel said NO!!! I will be considered a walk in and had to get back in line. What the?!?! Even the DM effing V and Passport Office lets you come back and not queue up again. PS: When I returned, Ricky helped me. I have to put in a good word for these folks. They're all very knowledgeable and helpful and kind. I had a very good experience working with Rick and I got the free iPhone and the free iPad and I am thrilled beyond measure. I'm a bit of a novice, but I was very impressed with the technological gyrations they had to go through. I would be stumped. I've made appointments for a couple of visits. It did take a couple of visits. First time I went in, got in pretty much right away, and we took care of some business and then I went and had some lunch and I think I came back the next day too and then I came back another day to bring my phone in and get the iPad hooked up. I also have to say that their wireless modem is the easiest thing I've ever done. It's about 32 $42 and then I think you're done with it and it's a nice white box. All you do is put in the password and boom it's working. I don't know why they got bad reviews, but I certainly have to say I am very pleased with the service read more

First of all, this place is very busy. I showed up with my parents on a Monday afternoon and was told there would be a 90 minute wait. (I wanted to go next door to have drinks at Chilis and wait it out but was voted down by mom and dad. Whatever.) Clearly we should have made an appointment. So we made one for two days later. When we came the next time there was a line of people waiting to check in. Having an appointment put us at the top of the list and we were seen right away. Big shout out to Anthony who helped us yesterday! I was there with my parents to get my mom situated with a better iPhone and get my dad his first smart phone ever. They had a lot of questions and a lot of confusions, but Anthony was PATIENT and KNOWLEDGEABLE and hooked them up with everything they needed. Great job, Anthony and Verizon! Thank you! read more

Im a new member with verizon I just switched over from T-Mobile and I was having several issues getting my phone troubleshooted I was on the phone with technical support for almost two hours just for them to tell me I had to go to a Verizon store arriving to store I was already fed up not being able to get the help I needed and not being able to use the phone I just purchased a gentleman by the name anthony was assigned to help me figure out what the issue was I could tell he was having a long day as well but was more than willing to help me figure out what the issue was he called technical support and eventually after about an hour we got to the root of the problem so shout out to Anthony I appreciate your patience I could tell you have a lot of it and I know if I ever have an issue with my phone again this will be my store thank you so much read more

Only came here because its the only corporate Verizon store that's close-by that can take care of what I needed done. It is brightly lit and clean inside, greeted by two smiling receptionist at the front (+1). Quickly seated to speak with a sales rep to discuss what I needed done (+1). Turned over to the manager since only she can handle the issue. That's when all my positive feeling towards the store abruptly stops. The manager's attitude was just plain unwelcoming. (Looking around and seeing all these energetic sales reps standing around and wondering to myself why I couldn't talk to any one of them instead). Other than trying to upsell me every chance she gets without stating the details and why I need that plan, just trying to hear is the toughest thing in this store. It's already difficult to hear people talk through a mask, you'll also have a 1/2 inch plastic partition to talk past (I respect these precautionary steps). But it's the background music that you will have to compete with, it is on way too high. Figured, I would just get authorization to handle the account and then do the rest at a different location. read more

Besides having all my questions answered they were polite not like my previous experiences with the Verizon in-store reps. Plus, they saved me money by informing me of some great deals that would lower my monthly statement. You don't get that information or service at the Verizon in-store. I ordered an iPhone 15 Pro for my son yesterday and selected store pick up. He is an account manager. When he went to go pick up the phone, they said he needed to be 18 years old to pick it up. In the email instructions. It only states that he needs an ID and be an account manager. After they wouldn't give him the phone, he called me when he was outside of the store. I went on my Verizon app to see the pick up instructions to see if it said you had to be 18 years of age or older to pick up a phone. When I logged onto my app, it gave me a message of thank you for picking up your order. After talking to my son for a couple minutes he went into the store on the phone with me because I wanted to talk to a supervisor. The moment he stepped into the store I heard a gentleman say are you here to pick up your phone we have it in the back. Maybe I am wrong, but my only assumption is that someone was trying to take the phone and say that we picked it up and we did not. read more

These 5 stars are for DAVID!!! He is amazing! It's hard to find good people just in general now days & my son and I were blessed to have David helping us out this time!! He genuinely cares! and you can tell he actually enjoys his position as a Verizon Wireless Representative! My sons phone broke, & tomorrow is literally his birthday so it was the perfect timing for an upgrade! We were fortunate enough to have this rare gem of a worker assist us. My son & I had some questions about his new phone and no matter what it was, David answered them all with a smile. Customer service is not for everyone, but David, hands down, nailed it This dude is very welcoming, knowledgeable, & so helpful! I'm so thankful we met him & I cannot wait to make our next purchases i mentioned to him next month. After nearly 20 years of being a customer of Verizon, we finally found a person who gives it their all ((for the record, we use to go in person at the carson location often & they were helpful too. Walked in this store last Wednesday without an appointment and with very little patience left. I was locked out if my Verizon account because it kept asking a secret question I NEVER SET! There is no answer. Then my son's phone got stolen and I needed to get into my account to file a claim with Assyrian. I had already been through this with customer service more than once. Anthony was so patient and understanding even though I kept telling him he couldn't solve it and we'd have to escalate so he might as well just pass me over to his manager now. Guess what. After going to a non-corporate store, and not liking their sales tactics, I decided to make my way to this corporate location. I walked in to a sizable and well-presented store, and I was greeted with a customer service rep immediately. I told him what options I was looking into, and he proceeded to explain everything to me in detail. He showed me the new unlimited plans, broke them down in detail, and how they would best fit me. This place had all the phones I was considering. They have new SEs in stock, which is a great option for a business phone. The salesman was honest in contrasting the iPhone 8 with the 10. He also told me that I could keep my current plan when I upgrade phones, but I needed to switch to a new plan if I was to add another line to my account. He was also honest about the costs, to include finance options versus paying a phone cash. I had a good experience here, and thank them for taking good care of me. I hope to find a store just as good once I make the move to the east coast. read more

Biggest mistake ive made switching over to verizon. not only did they charge me for setting up my phone 29.99 x 3, when they did nothing to the old or new phones. they over charged me as well for the phones. Verizon Company Store at 21841 Hawthorne Blvd, Torrance, CA 90503. The service person A. without saying anything turned on their protection plan on our account as if I had ordered it. Shortly after, Verizon sent us a text message for confirmation. We had to call Verizon customer service to turn it off. I think this is a bad business practice: if the customer is not alert enough and lets it slip through, then Verizon will start charging the fees for the protection plan. The customer service on the phone initially wanted to charge us for at least one day before cancellation. Why one day? For the local service person to earn commission? Verizon must stop this business model to show respect to the customers. Very devious and dishonest! I am totally disgusted by this. read more

The is one of the rare actual company stores where full service tech is available. Don't goto a VZW retailer- they said that they can assist by calling VZW technical support and do the same things that you would do yourself by calling. Efficient. No appointment made and I was seen and helped within 5 minutes. Much less crazy than the Apple Store. My tech was Russell on both Friday 745p and today, Monday at 1230p. I was trying to get my eSIM activated on my new device, but was unsuccessful over the VZW chat. Friday night, Russ was not able to get it successfully activated and said that the eSIM activations have been glitchy. Reactivated physical SIM and said that should try again before I go on an international trip since all new VZW phones are now locked for 60 days. Since I was nearby and had a billing concern, went back today and Russell was able to activate my eSIM by thinking outside the box. Solid customer tech and service support. read more

I made two recent visits to this store. Both times i left disappointed. The first was scouting for how to get my Gf a new phone for her birthday. Given the plans now force you to buy the phone over the two year commitment and that retail purchase isn't really an option, I would have to bring her in to get the phone when she was ready. Nonetheless i was not happy with the couple associates that could barely answer questions and seemed to not care at all about helping in anyway. Fast forward to last night. We (gf and I) head to the same store to upgrade her device. She had questions how this affected our bill and the first associate we were given could not do basic math nor had the patience at all for my lady to ask simple questions. He probably asked "which phone do you want...?" in a hurried manner 5 times. Then he simply walked off and went to play with the bluetooth speakers and crank the music up for him and the five other associates sitting around doing nothing. We then got another associate. She was not nice at all. Told us they had some models in the back but then they didn't. There weren't the same demos on the floor as actual choices and then finally after my gf chose, not only did they not have that phone but the girl disappeared for twenty minutes and reappeared with three phones we didn't want BUT she brought out twenty different accessories she cared more about selling. We had given over and hour of our time for nothing. This store sucks. We are not going back. I'll find another store where they remotely give a damn about their customers. read more

My experience today with Becky was OUTSTANDING AND AMAZING!!! I set out today to do the BOGO special deal. I made the mistake of going to a store in Rolling Hills, which was the WORST!! (one guy, did not open on time, waited for 20 mins to open and he was an idiot) Then went to the Hawthorne store also HORRIBLE!! All the employees stood around reading their tablets and not working with any customers. I headed towards home and found this store. Becky was truly amazing!!
