Quality of service can sometimes vary with affiliated retailers, but Verizon should use this store as the gold standard. Twice I have gone in there to get a new phone and they have worked with me to find the best price and plan for my needs. No pressure up-selling or surprises after you commit. Today Miriam helped me find a way to purchase a new 64MB iPhone by laying out the different routes I could go. The store was clean and I was welcomed right away. I sat to wait since the 3 workers were busy. I thought I'd be a sure sale during my visit, knowing exactly what I wanted. Mike tried to help me though... I asked a couple questions about my upgrade, because I want the new s7. There were no cases so he gave me a bottle of cleaner and a cloth so I could clean up the phone and case. Just stopped by Verizon to inquire about renewing my contract and getting new phones. The service was horrible! The sales associate (a young gentlemen with glasses) was very cold and brief in response and did not seem interested in keeping me as a customer with Verizon. He did not bother introducing any phone options or offer any additional information. I felt extremely pressured to respond and ask questions; nothing was offered freely. After the fiery conversation I had this morning with customer service e.g. 611. I was hesitant about visiting a store because I felt like all verizon employees were rude, and calling this morning just proved my point. I went in anyway simply cause the wait on the phone can be over 15 min. So I'd rather drive 5 minutes than wait on the phone. The reason for my call/ visit was because I kept going over my data and I read that Verizon got rid of overages, but that wasn't happening for me. I spoke with Miriam M. After reading some of the bad reviews on here, I realize I'm one of those guys that got screw by GoWireless. I wish I can write a 5 star review, but after the experience with them... They provided wrong information and bad instructions to redeem my promotion reward. They didn't seem to care when I reached out for help. I gave them plenty of time to fix the problem at hand. They pointed the finger back at me like I was the one who made the mistake. I don't find joy writing this review. Please be careful if you decide to shop at this location. I went to this location to find out if I could use the iPhone 6 that I got from a friend to replace my iPhone 4 that is obsolete. Yes, I am very non-tech and way behind others in this arena. Tawfiq Murad, the store manager, told me that I could not use the iPhone 6 with Verizon, it was too out dated. He offered to sell me a more updated phone. I told him I would think about it. I went to another Verizon store a few days later and found out that this was not true. The manager there was very helpful. He activated my iPhone 6 and helped me transfer my info from my old phone. I found out that the store where Tawfiq works is not a corporate Verizon store rather just an authorized dealer. I recommend that you go to a Verizon corporate store which is where I went a few days after my encounter with Tawfiq. The corporate store that I went to was the store located at 917 Huntington Dr in Monrovia. The manager there, Mike Aguirre, was so wonderful and helpful. He saved me lots of money by activating my iPhone 6 rather than telling me that I needed to purchase a different phone. Thanks Mike!!! I highly recommend this store. read more

We had a great experience with both Nicholas and Mike. Nick took his time to walk us through all our choices in dealing with Apple's faulty iphone7....buy-out or upgrade. In the end we got an iphone8 with very little out of pocket, and....lots of extras thrown in! We even qualified for a higher trade-in value than we thought we'd get. Upgraded to a Galaxy S6 on Friday 04/10. Nick told me the following: I had to buy accessories with the Verizon Edge Payment Plan - not true. He signed me up for an 11/mo protection plan without my request or knowledge - I had to contact Verizon directly to have it removed and credited. At the time, Nick also offered me a Verizon $50 credit on my service plan (it's absolutely not an accessory credit). Then I noticed there is no mention of it on my invoice. However, when I went back to the store for the 3rd time, Nick would only show me a print out of the email with the offer and said he could not give me a copy. So I just have to take his word for it as I have no proof of this $50 credit on my invoice. I am very concerned, because when I contacted both Verizon Chat and Go Wireless support, they have no knowledge of this offer. Nick is a nice guy but this bait and switch stuff in this day and age is ridiculous. So now I am in a limbo, holding pattern for this "Verizon $50 Upgrade Service Plan Credit." In the meantime, I have had to jump through a lot of hoops over something that should have been easy, peasy. I most definitely did not get the best deal on my S6, but I am not about to be taken on top of that. I will update my review pending the $50 service credit. So for now, be very, very wary of Go Wireless - Verizon "Premium" Retailer. UPDATE: I just spoke with a Verizon representative. And I will be receiving a bill credit of $50 through a current promotion. Still no proof, but they noted it on my account. So, Nick was on the money on that front. Nick, you are a nice guy, but just be straight with customers i.e. "I'll give you 25% off accessories today and set-up your phone for free, etc... Let me start off by saying all these other yelpers on here giving this store bad reviews that is not true. I went in there because my phone was stolen and I needed a replacement device and the Assistant Store Manager Tawfiq was the best he was extremely patient and explained everything and even wrote it all down for me on a piece of paper and explained that my first bill would be higher than I normally pay and explained to me that my new phone will be on a monthly payment plan and that's just fine because that's how it is with every carrier. Thank you Tawfiq I will definitely be coming back to this location for all my wireless needs. You guys rock this store is way better than the lake ave store no one was rude they even greeted me the second I walked in and told me they will be with me In a moment. First off you have to love the fact that you can go to a Verizon store in Pasadena and not have to wait an hour for help. It was time for an upgrade and Brandon was quite helpful, informative and knowledgeable. He even filled out my rebate paper work form me as well as point out all that I had to do to get my rebate. Absolutely the worst customer service. I've had nothing but problems with these guys and all they've done is make my account cost more every month. Nick the manager knows they're in the wrong because all he did was deny everything and then hung up on me. It started on January 1st 2016. My phone completely died on me on New Years Eve and I was am Uber driver at the time. I lost a bundle of money that not because of it. The first people I encountered were very pleasant and the young lady was extremely hung over but nice. They helped me out and got me into a replacement phone right away and told me that my phone bill would be no different then the previous months. Then the problems began. The following month I get my bill and it's $50 more then previously! Then I go down there and talk to them and they feed me a line about some equipment charge and that's why my bill is higher. Then they say then can fix it and get me more data and it won't cost me anymore money. So I said okay and thank them and I'm on my way. The next month bill comes and BANG! I'm hit with more charges! I call Verizon and they tell me I have to deal with the store directly. I call the air and they switch up on everything they VERBALLY said and had me sign because they don't actually show you that what they tell you is going to be done on paper. Be Extremely careful before you sign anything with these people because without a doubt I can tell you that they're out to scam you. Don't trust a thing they say and get everything on PAPER IN WRITING before you leave that store. They even took a phone from me and then didn't show the credit for it and now I'm being charged $200 for that! Poor poor poor customer service don't trust them! read more

I think these guys are sincere and are honestly trying to be helpful. But they're geared toward helping absolute novices and are likely hemmed in by their role as Verizon authorized dealers. Plus, they'll give you the lazy answer because most people won't know or don't care. Bad deal: trade in value is for in-store goods only (you'll get a better trade in if you do Gazelle or Verizon online). And what's with the installation fee? Also, I mentioned that I wasn't getting a second phone now because I'm waiting for the new iPhone to come out. I was told that there's no guarantee that a new iPhone will come out in the fall. This is a ridiculous sales tactic. The next iPhone WILL come out in the fall most likely with a significantly reduced bezel and a price hike. Also, after some problems with my phone overheating I was told it was because I had too many apps open at the same time. Also ridiculous. With the iPhone there has never been the assumption you're supposed to 'quit' apps ("Quit button" anyone?). Also, when they set up my phone they bypassed the standard installation so I had to later reinstall everything from scratch. If you halfway know what you're doing or if you're an IT professional, this place will drive you insane. I thought this was going to be a better alternative to Verizon's quirky website but next time I'll know better. Also, the actual Verizon company store is on Lake. read more
