I needed to make changes to my Account. Without going into the whole story, I just couldn't get the changes made. Lots of complications & I was very frustrated. I went into the Monrovia store & Tawfiq helped me. I explained what I needed to do, he helped me call the service center. They couldn't figure out how to fix my problem. Tawfiq thought about how it could be done. Went about fixing my billing, phones & services. He was very patient (I was pretty angry & frustrated) and he apologized for the inconvenience. Best Verizon experience Ever in 17 years Mike, the manager of the Monrovia store on Huntington Drive, directly off the 210 fwy. was - in a word - Exceptional! Mike was that rare balance of the knowledgeable professional coupled with warmth and a genuine desire to assist. He communicated with genuine sincerity, taking time to explain exactly what we could expect in connection with charges so there would be no unpleasant surprises down the road (the negative experience we've had more than once with Verizon). Our purpose in coming to the Verizon store was to transfer all data from an old phone to a new phone, not purchased at Verizon. Yet, Mike treated us with such respect and congeniality, you would have thought we'd just spent several hundred dollars. We were so impressed that we ended up making an unexpected purchase, readily signing on for another two years of service! Mike A. is an excellent representative of Verizon with superior Customer Service skills - certainly the best we've ever experienced in 17 years. Watch out for this store. I had bad experience. I went to Go Wireless Monrovia X4720-01and upgraded my phone to iPhone7 on Feb 10th, 2017. In the contract, it was clearly documented in the Insurance: 66332 - Decline Equipment Protection $0.00monthly, but on my first bill, I was being charged for $11.00. When I went back to the store to check on the charge that was imposed on me without my consent, I was scolded by one of the sales Rep. saying that I was complaining. His name is TAWIG. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He was not even the one who was serving me. He said no refund could be credited in the current bill and I needed to leave the store. TAWIG was yelling at me and being totally unreasonable. From the way he treats customers, I am sure I am not the first customer who made a complaint about his service. He ruins the reputation of the store and will damage the business. I hope the corporate will do something to make sure that customers will be respected and treated fairly. TAWIG is a disgrace to Verizon. If you want to be treated with respect, get the service you deserve, and not to be charged for what you don't want, find another store!! Customer service .... absolutely horrid!!!! I had never been to a place with such bad service . Came here on a Saturday morning and the sales reps were all busy at the time. After a few minutes someone left and freed up someone to help. This girl was just rude and not friendly at all. Never did she introduce herself nor did she smile. ( granted it's not necessary but that is the basics for customer service) We asked her to transfer one acct to another and her attitude was just unnecessary. She was short and just treated us like we were dumb. She called customer service for us and waited on the phone ... while on hold she was playing w her nails. It was a typical movie scene of someone who doesn't give a crap. Finally I had it and just asked her to see if anything needed to be done at the store level .. she said no and then we just left . If I had known that I could call myself and talk to customer service (who in my experience way more courteous than these people here) .. I would not have wasted my time . To anyone out there - avoid this place at all cost. No need to talk to people who doesn't care and don't really do anything for you. I went in on my lunch break to get my screen protector changed after cracking it earlier in the day. I was greeted immediately, with enthusiasm and good humor from Krysnie, the store manager. She was able to help me without delay and installed my new screen for me perfectly, with no air bubbles or debris on the screen. I would never recommend going here, after hearing about my fathers experience, I'm infuriated!! A gentlemen helped my father at first, kindly pointed out where the prepaid phones were. He said he was waiting for a lady to assist him when he asked for her help she ignored him! She told him multiple times to stop talking or he'll have a heart attack, mocking his current medical issues. She also told him to leave before she called the police and when he asked for the supervisors number she refused. I will not stand for my father to be treated like this it's inhuman and completely ridiculous, no one deserves that amount of disrespect. A-holes sold my mom a phone am told her it was "virtually free" they told her the phone was top of the line ! It was not and it cost 400$ !! And then they added a bunch of stuff on to our account that she did not need!! Ageist idiots took advantage of an old lady! And when we had to return the phone they wouldn't do anything to help us out ! They made us come into the store during the covid 19 out break ! And she is 68 years old ! So...I needed a new phone asap because my old iPhone was acting up and I needed the new one for school (i go to school in SD area)...so my mother and I were looking for Verizon locations on Yelp and all of them.... had pretty crappy reviews...including this one...Soooo we were pretty hesitant at first, but it was kind of Close to home so we just decided to go!....Let me start off by saying....WHY the hell is there so many negative reviews!? Y'all are crazy and obviously very impatient. This was the sweetest and nicest staff. They were SO professional and made us laugh all at the same time. My mother and I are pretty high maintenance and can come off pretty intense at times and they made us feel so comfortable lol. Shoutout to LI and KRYSNIE for being amazing employees and taking the time to explain everything about our bill and the new phone. Not to mention this process was so fast and went by without any complications. The other employee also Seemed very professional and was helping the other customers in a professional and quick manner. On Thursday evening came into the store to purchase a car charger and I was assisted by George. There was a man shouting in the backroom and cussing at someone. George excuse himself to the back and the shouting stop. I asked him what' 's going on and he was uncomfortable. As the sales man was proceeding to ring out my purchase a lady came out looking upset and was on the phone. As she was walking out the store another associate was following her and still kept talking to her in a very unprofessional way. It was awkward. Few minutes she walked in apologize for the trouble and help other customers. She still kept her composure. This is not a Verizon store, this is a Go Wireless store. Ask for the paperwork first, ask for them to explain everything in complete detail. I was told it was my lucky day, half off phone and 3 bundle items. I was given a free tablet for my long time commitment to Verizon. I went in for a phone with an upgrade, and I was put on an Edge plan without my knowledge. I also paid for a 2 Go Advantage Choice plans without my knowledge. I was told those charges were taxes. They put together deals and confuse the wording. They have you sign a screen, and you have no idea what you signed. The fine print is that I paid for the bundle items, and the Go Advantage Plan, and half of the phone...then a month later my bill shows that I have been enrolled in Edge, $29.99 extra for 24 months on my bill, for $709.99 total. GoAdvantage is one of their programs, you pay upfront and they take off $25 from your bill, 25% per month, and discount your bundle items. But, it is a scam. And was never explained to me. I went in to complain and be removed from Edge per Verizon and the same sales person was very belittling and condescending. After I left, the store or employees accessed my account illegally and started changing my plans. I have filled a fraud suit against them, notified Verizon of their dishonest practices, and reported them to the FCC. LET ME TAKE YOU THROUGH MY FUN JOURNEY TO LOSING $600+. *** LIE #1: Free smartphone *** It all began with texts from Verizon telling me they had a FREE smartphone for me because I've been a loyal customer. I already knew there was a catch, but decided to go into the store anyway to check it out. *** LIE #2: The free iphone that you only have to pay for every month *** Mr. Sales explained to me that the phone was free but I had to pay taxes which was $60. When I asked more about it, he added that I also had to be on a "device payment plan" for 24 months. Okay, so... literally the opposite of free. I asked how much would I have to pay each month. He said for the iphone would cost around $28 per month for 24 months. However, he would give me a discount of $25, so each month I would only have to pay $3. He reassured me over and over again that that was the only additional cost I would be paying. My phone bill would stay the same. Then $60 tax for the iphone, along with an additional $3 each month for 24 months. I thought, wow, still a good deal. So in total I would be paying around $130 for a brand new iphone. I love Verizon. *** LIE #3: The new old discount *** Came home and told my mom about the awesome deal. She was the one who signed us up for Verizon to begin with, and she grew suspicious because we had a $25 discount off of our phone bill. Getting another $25 discount on the iphone seemed too good to be true. So we went back and discovered that when Mr. Sales signed us up for the "device payment plan", HE TOOK OFF THE OLD $25 DISCOUNT ON OUR PHONE BILL, BUT ADDED THE SAME DISCOUNT TO THE IPHONE MONTHLY PAYMENT. So yes, technically, when he said he gave us a discount, it was true. But he hid the fact that my original phone bill would go up, because I lost that discount. In other words, instead of paying $3 each month for an iphone, I am still paying $28 a month for 24 months. The iphone did not cost me $130. It cost me around $730. *** Nothing could be fixed *** Long story short, I spent the next couple days trying to fix this disaster. Verizon offered $100 off iphones online but because I got it at this store I couldn't get it. *** Lesson *** It's a headache when you deal with a third party store because Verizon can't do anything about it. The discounts from the corporate store also don't apply to these places. Don't fall for smiling faces. read more

This place is a scam, they want you to think they are apart of Verizon, but they aren't. They couldn't do basic account changes for us and made us call a number to make them. After that they lied about what services we could get and how if we paid a $140 deposit for the phone we'd get 3 free accessories and the phone would only be $6/month (when in actuality it was $31/month). The deposit was just a trick to get you to buy accessories. They didn't show any paperwork or anything until after it was paid for, at which point I realized what was happening. They also charged $10 more for the phone than through Apple or Verizon directly, which is good enough reason not to go. Luckily after some arguing they reversed their charges, but I would avoid this place at all costs. They are liars and cheats. Or at least ask all the details up front (though I did ask some questions and was blatantly lied to and given vague answers, so it might not help). read more

Avoid dealing with the manager at this store. He is a little man with a big ego. He has very little to no customer skills. He is arrogant and refuses to help when a commitment was made by one of his best sales person. I was told that I could cancel the insurance on the equipment I bought. When I went in he yelled at the salesperson for agreeing to cancel the contract. I took the blame so he would stop yelling at the poor salesman. A few days after this incident I went into return a jet pack that I was told I could try for 14 days and would not be charged a restocking fee. Again this little man with the big ego said he would not honor the no restocking fee. He said I could come back when the salesperson was in the next day. Unbelievably pleasant experience. Set up 3 of my phones, two new HTC 10 with 1 older galaxy s5, and transferred all my contacts. Unlike previous stores, they didn't push for me to buy anything new or suggest us to make add ons to my plan. In fact, they explained what they were doing on every step. The gentlemen helping me was knowledgeable and patient while helping us. Lastly, it usually costs $20 per phone set up, but they only charged us for two and gave us two free htc10 battery packs. I've been a customer of this store for a while... I ordered a new phone for my husband. The guy said to call him with in a week to order my second one if I wanted it to get it later but same month because they're back ordered. So I did, My husbands phone came in on time and mine apparently was to come in ny the 28th was never ordered. Then he was no longer an employee so I was I was more annoyed of course. Christinie tried to contact the guy. But, was not able to get a hold of him. And, she couldn't give me another phone because they were all by order I get it. The phone I wanted was not available. It was out of her hands. This entire time Le and Christinie were super nice and very helpful. I had to place another order. I had to wait another month but I finally got it. The entire time they were super nice and friendly Christinie was very nice and made friends with my 3 year old so I thought that was nice most people get annoyed when people have there kids around. My husband and I decided to leave Blackberry and got new Samsung phones, but we bought them from a different store location. My fiance switched from Sprint (we love Verizon's reception!) but once the girl at the counter realized I'm just trying to get my phone numbers transferred (and that she wouldn't make a commission off me) she immediately put on the "I can't help you" attitude and was trying to rush me away from her counter. She kept telling me to go to Sprint and continued to be short with me so she could get to the next available customer. I remained persistent and it turns out, she DID KNOW how to help! WOW. I was able to transfer my numbers but I can't believe she cared more about getting me to go away than to help. Unreal. She was rude and I'll never be back to this store.
