Product: Six months ago I needed a new screen protector which they told me they are all sold out so I had to drive to another city wasting my gas for a new one. I just walked back into the Monrovia store and they are telling me the same bullshit and was not helpful by just saying no with no recommendations to another store. I was told to go to another Verizon store that was 15 miles away, because they weren't allow to work on phones. I drove all the way to the other store to have a screen cover put on when I was informed that they could not touch my phone due to the pandemic. I was pissed. I explained the situation to this store and was advised all Verizon store are supposed to help their customers. They told me me they were going to report them to the Corporate office. My wife and I just purchased iPhone X's and we brought them in to GoWireless in Monrovia to have them set up on Verizon's network (it is the only network that provides good coverage at our home in Arcadia). We worked with Eileen and she was very friendly and helpful and walked us through the process. She also helped us pick out some very nice cases to protect our phones (much better then the last cases we had). We really appreciate the help that Eileen gave us - she is an excellent employee. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! HORRIBLE SERVICE!....I wish I had read yelp reviews before ever steping foot in there. Michael who is the manager helped us out and it was great at first when he suckered us into switching to Verizon and he promised all kinds of things like waive all our activations (5 lines) and a monthly bill within our same range of what we already paying since we were porting over our current phone numbers. And all sounds great RIGHT! But WRONG!!!!! It all ended up being a scam just to get our business and screw customers over in the end. I ended up canceling services withing 10 days because we thought it would be better coverage since my husband was going out of town However it was NOT..I was told if I had cancel services within the trial period I wouldn't be charged however WRONG!!! again. only for my days of service used I returned everything to the store including all accessories and still had to pay restocking fees which ok I was fine with that and aware but I still got a huge bill over $500... Then the next month again same bill after so many calls to verizon customer service they told me to contact the store who sold the phones to me and I called there and spoke to Michael again about these issues and assured me that he would get it fixed so I waited a few weeks and didn't hear from him I called the store again and spoke to alias and asked to have the owner or any of Michaels superiors contact me. But yet still to this day. Absolutely No Follow up from anyone.. I AM DISGUSTED WITH THIS PLACE. This place has the WORST manager I have ever come across. Krysnie (Manager) was so rude and condescending to a 72 year old woman whos husband just passed. As a very professional employee (Monica) was helping this customer, the manager came out and started pulling tape very loudly during my mom getting help from Monica and customer service. My mom had to exit the store to continue to get help from Monica and the customer service team on the phone. I asked the manager if she knew why my mom walked out, she said, No! I said because my mom couldnt hear. And the manager ignored me. I asked did u hear why and she ignored me again. I asked to see her name tag and she refused, covering it up. Good, then bad, to worse. Let me tell you, at first the team here was friendly and attentive, but when it came time to get service, they turned cold. Amazingly, the managers are never available until tomorrow! I will specifically warn you, if you buy one of their lifetime screen protectors, don't expect replacements any longer than when the next model device comes out. They conveniently begin to be out of stock. Calls to other stores, same answer. When I asked when they may have them, they say they don't know. I went to this location to purchase the new Samsung Galaxy S10+. Everything went well till I realized a day later that the manager, Mike, forgot to put my SD card from my old Samsung Galaxy S7 into my new phone. He took it out of my old phone and was waiting to put it in my new phone after all the downloads. When I finally realized this, I went back the next day and he didn't have any recollection as to where he put it. I went in knowing that I probably would never get those pictures from the SD card back. I understand things happen and that there was nothing I could do to change the outcome...However, the blatant disregard and lack of apology for his carelessness is what prompted me to leave this review. Lets start by making this clarificaion, Go wireless is a 3rd party retailer that sells Verizon products and contracts. They are not a Verizon corporate store. My complaint is not about the service or the friendliness of the staff. My complaint is that their sales approach is disingenuous and deceitful. My 2 year contract with Verizon expired in December of 2014, so I went into what I thought was my local Verizon store to see what options I had. I currently have 2 attractive options: Verizon Edge plan or continue the standard 2 year contract plan. Without going into the details and the breakdown of the two options, the Verizon Edge plan is the better of the two plans for me. The sales person explained this and we started the paperwork for me to get my new phones and switch over to the new Verizon Edge plan. Here is where it all start to go downhill. While I'm working with the sales rep I'm asking to see an itemized invoice or sales order for what I'm purchasing. They scribble down a few numbers on a some scratch paper, but they won't give me something more concrete. Its not until I agree to the plan that I'm able to see any official paper work and contracts with concrete costs. At this point I notice that they are charging me an extra $99.00 in addition to the cost of the phone. The way they have this written out, led me to assume that this is a down payment or co-payment to the cost of the phone, but the Verizon contract clearly states that I am financing 100% of the cost of the phone. So this $99.00, is so that I have to buy accessories from the store. The disingenuous part is that they tell me this is just how the Verizon edge Plan works and part of the edge network. I have to purchase these $99.00 in accessories, because that is the policy. In fact, they will not let me walk out of the store with the Verizon Edge plan unless I agree to purchase $99.00 in overpriced accessories. I get suspicious and ask if this is a Verizon policy or a Go Wireless policy. The sales person was adamant that this is a Verizon edge policy. But after a lot of back and forth admits that its just "the policy". Which is very vague. Let me be clear here. This not the Verizon policy, this is the policy of this store. Most people are used to paying a down payment or co-pay towards the cost of the phone, but the new Edge plan finance 100% of the cost of the phone. So they bundle in that $99.00 and make it seem like a gift that they are giving you these accessories. They would not let me set up an Edge plan without purchasing $99.00 in accessories. (Let me also mention that these accessories don't have price tags on them so if I grab 1 case or 3 cases the charge for me would have been $99.00) TLDR; This is a 3rd party retailer tries to trick customers into buying $99.00 of accessories by claiming it is a Verizon policy. Avoid this place. You can call Verizon directly and get the same plans, same discounts and deal directly with the company. I believe Best Buy and Walmart also sell Verizon plans so you can go in and talk to them. Both stores are about a 5-10 minute drive away. read more

This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced in my life. This is my second time going to the store and having a bad experience. When I walked in the manager was already helping out a customer so I just walked around and was checking out the phones and then went and sat down not one time did he say I'll be right with you or at least acknowledge me. Then another customer walks in and sits down and she doesn't even get greeted. I don't understand how this guy Mike can be a manager when he can't even greet a customer or at least reassure them that he'll be right with them I was waiting there for over 30 minutes without being acknowledged. I was not sure if I wanted to come do business with this store after all the bad and good reviews at this store but I was eating next door so I thought I go in and see. I been to many verizon store and all the sales people try to over sell you and are really pushy. I came in just to get some info and see how they would treat me. Li th e assistant manager was very hepful. Explain all fees and what it would take to upgrade my phone. As a sales person he offer me dish and other products which I understand, he was doing his job. After he explain my current plan and what it would cost me including upgrade fees which no other store has ever diclose to me I will be back and prob will make this my Verizon store to go to. He did not leave his work station or offer to look up my account. He said that he could sell me a warranty and then he could help me. Peter and I have been here twice to get sh** done. Peter's phone service was previously paid for by his company. They stopped this service and Peter wanted to find out how he would reinstate his name on the phone bill. The Verizon employee gave us a phone number to call to get this done. Feeling like idiots, we left the store. Peter called, and that was that. A couple weeks later, we thought it would be more economical to sign up for a family plan. We drove over to Verizon and waited a while. Both employees were helping other customers. No prob! Once it was finally our turn, we told the employee that we are both currently Verizon customers and have individual accounts. We were here to combine our service into a family plan. The employee gave us the same phone number to call. Damn! Is it because we're young and phone savvy that we can't be helped in-store? read more

I'm giving one star because there is no lower rating. The store mananger in two separate occasions was extremely rude! He's name is Tawfiq Murad. I refuse to get help by him, I rather wait one hour for an other available staff member than to be helped by him. My family and (we are 7 in total) all go to this store the rest of the staff are cordial and helpful but this mananger is so rude, I was commenting that at the table while having dinner and my sister in law also made the same comment. Hands down, the BEST experience I have had when buying a new phone. I was very impressed by the manager of the store Tawfiq who was very patient, knowledgeable and pragmatic. When I arrived in the store I had to wait because he was the only one in the store...which i was not okay with because as a manager myself I understand what it's like to be by yourself. You are there to make money and by not having help you can't achieve that goal. He was dealing with an obnoxious customer that was being extremely rude and he handled the situation with textbook accuracy. He diffused the situation calmed the customer down and was able to save the sale. Impressive doesn't begin to describe his expert salesmanship but knowing this I wanted to make sure I was being taken care of. When it was my turn, he greeted me extremely friendly and asked how can I help you? I I told him I wanted an Iphone X and that I wanted a 256g memory in black he said that they had one and he asked if I wanted a case, screen protector, wireless charger, and he waived the $20 set up charge because I had already bought most of this stuff on the internet and being tech savvy I can upload everything on my phone myself. After I left I was very happy with the whole experience tawfiq made the whole process simple and quick this was better than the corporate stores I have been to before. I ordered 2 new iPhone 13 max's with the new version trade-in promo and had an extremely bad experience with this retailer in specific. When I ordered the phones, I was told it would take 3 days to receive them, but that quickly turned into 3.5 weeks. Not only did it take much longer than expected, but the worker helping me when I walked into the store was clearly all about making the sale rather than pleasing the customer. I had a IPhone XS Max to trade in which is valued at $800 on the Verizon website, but he then told me that he could not give me that deal because the deal had ended a week prior to the store receiving the phone. May I add that he had already made me sign the contract at this point without explaining to me that the promotion was no longer valid. To make it worse, I told him I was also grabbing my brothers phone but explained to him that he needed to keep his service on because he was away at school, he then told me that was no problem and he could delay the activation on the new phone. He then shut off my brothers line of service, resulting in a 2 hour ordeal with 611 to try and resolve the issue. After I told him that I did not want to follow through with the upgrade, he began to help another customer and left me to ponder for an extended 25 minute period. I decided to wait to comeback to the store to talk to the manager about the promo, because apparently he is the only one that can see if it is applicable, but he seems to be out of the store quite often. And for the cherry on top, they have sold the phones I ordered so I cannot now talk to the manager. All in all, one terrible experience with Verizon is making me switch to T-Mobile. Please avoid this retailer at all costs. read more

While I haven't always received the best service at this location in the past, our most recent visit there was very helpful. After getting the run around at the Arcadia store, we went to the Monrovia location to ask for help. Justin was great. When we entered the store, he greeted us and let us know that he would help us as soon as possible. He was the only one working at the time and there were two parties ahead of us. We were able to sit and wait while he finished with the people ahead of us. We told him about our experience earlier that evening at the Arcadia location, and he was honest and told us that the Arcadia location was no longer a corporate store, but was instead a franchise. He also told us that the offer we had was only available at the corporate locations, and suggested that if we wanted, we could go to Glendora. We went to the corporate store in Glendora and finally were able to upgrade to the iPhone 5s, but if we need additional accessories, I now feel confident that we would be treated fairly at the Monrovia location and wouldn't need to make the trip to Glendora. They also get some of those offers from corporate after the corporate stores run them. Totally worth a trip if you missed one of those great offers! Upgraded my mother's phone with the assistant manager Audry. It was just a basic phone. I asked a couple of times if the phone was free. She said yes, except for taxes. Then I checked my Verizon account on my phone afterwards, I noticed I was charged with $30 upgrade fee, a phone protection plan monthly fee, and a monthly device installment payment. She did not inform us of any of these fees. I called Verizon customer service and canceled the monthly insurance fee. My mother's phone was a basic phone, so I was not going to buy insurance for that. To me it doesn't matter if I pay installment or pay in full, so I left that one in there. I then asked for the $30 upgrade fee to be waived. Since the store did not inform me of all these fees, the customer service person agreed to waive the upgrade fee. As I was typing this review, I noticed a $20 device set up fee charged to me as well. I just called Verizon to have this reversed. Crazy store! I will not go back again!!! read more

I've been to many Verzion store over the years, but have never received such outstanding customer service as I did from Jesse Avila. I am old school when it comes to technology and I didn't know that I downloaded an app that completely took over my phone...I couldn't figure out how to get rid of it. I stopped by the Verizon store in Monrovia and Jesse asked, how can I help you, I told him I messed up my phone, he said no you didn't , let me take a look at it...in just a few minutes he had it back to the original phone that I was use too. He also set up other features that I didn't even know I had.
