I had the pleasure of Alan Hernandez assisting me. He instantly connected with me and was so friendly, patient and knowlegable. I bought the wrong box (my router) in and was pretty embarrassed. Alan still sent me out with a new modem (yes, I promise to bring the old one back) with detailed instructions on installation. He pretty much sold me on switching my cellular service from AT&T to Spectrum. I am so grateful for people like Alan who can make such a difference! for the most part ive really enjoyed having them. granted,…read morei believe they treat their new customers much better than their long time customers (including those transitioned from verizon). ive been a customer for almost a year and ive had to call customer service and get in touch with high level support for a few issues. last year around christmas i was having a lot of issues with line quality and packet loss. after some back and forth i was assured that the congestion would be alleviated with the updating of their lines so it will never happen again. hasn't happened since. i believe them too since they've just now started offering upwards of 2Gbit/s! that definitely requires updates across the hubs, lines, and ONT. overall, the times that ive contacted customer support have been helpful and i do believe they work very hard to solve issues. otherwise the service is reliable for the most part, and i enjoy the fiber speeds! ive noticed now, however, that new customers get a mesh wifi set up :P. much better offers than when i signed up.

I was previously with another provider whose service constantly dropped, so I had high expectations for both the install and the setup. Justin exceeded them. He was friendly, extremely polite, and very respectful of my property. He worked neatly, cleaned up after himself, and made sure everything was done right the first time. He even wiped down the attic door to remove fingerprints before leaving. I am OSHA 30 certified and have worked as a foreman, so I pay close attention to how people work. I could tell immediately that he was highly experienced and worked safely at all times. He used the proper ladder for each part of the job and rotated through three ladders, two extension ladders outside and one A frame ladder inside, which showed real professionalism and attention to safety. It is rare to get an installer who really listens, works safely, and takes pride in the quality of their work. If you get Justin for your install, you are in great hands.

So I figured it all out myself and if they had just walked around the house, they would've noticed a previous DIRECTV install bracket (already bolted into the house) that they could've used. I sent them a picture of it and they said they couldn't use it. But I'm literally writing this review from StarLink that I set up myself. For free! ! I've now got the entire thing setup by myself, and simply have to go to Home Depot in the morning and buy a few small things to make everything look neat. Most simple install ever. They did not research the project or even look at the height of my home. Super disappointing ! It's like any other business. When they get really busy, you' really find out how good they are at managing things.

I needed the satellite cable rerouted and brought through the wall and also wanted all the cables from the satellite box and Xbox fished through the wall from the cabinet so they wouldn't show. I asked him if he was able to run an Ethernet cable from my router in the front of the house into my crawl space and into back room for the tv. "No problem!" He asks me if I wanted an Ethernet switch so that I can also have it hooked up to the Xbox. Hell yes! He had the switch in his truck already, along with the coax and Ethernet cable and connections. 1 cable for 2 different devices, who would've thunk it. After several days with this setup l have to say EVERYONE SHOULD GET THIS DONE FOR INFINITELY BETTER NETFLIX, AMAZON PRIME VIDEO AND GAMING. No more wonky WiFi delays and buffering. Highest definition streaming videos. According to my son, online gaming lag disappears. Nojan has been doing this for 30+ years. He's nice. He's polite. He's tidy. He did everything I asked for and offered upgrades to things I didn't know existed. And his prices are beyond reasonable. $$$ :)

He took the time to make sure he understood exactly what I was trying to achieve, and always kept me updated on what he was doing and why. We had another vendor working on the HVAC who needed to get on the internet at one point. John didn't seem at all put off when I asked if he could create a temporary jack for me to plug the modem into for a few minutes. He labeled the cables, as well as the jacks he installed, in case somebody had to try to figure them out in the future. I'm extremely pleased with the work he did, and if we ever do need additional wiring done I wouldn't hesitate to call Satcom.

As noted in other reviews, the way in which the customer service works is by transferring you to a representative that at best can only ask you to unplug your router and plug it back in again. If you have a more serious problem, then the best they can do is refer you to their mysterious "tier 2" team. They will tell you that your issue has been escalated and to expect a call back the same day or the following day. Currently, I have been waiting back to hear from this team for a month. I have called over and over again and I am unable to reach a single individual who can help me with my problem. This is a nightmare for someone who works at home and requires stable internet to do their job well. Reading other reviews and looking online demonstrates that this is a common enough problem that signing up for this service is a bad idea. If you are searching for an apartment and you find one that offers BAI connect, I encourage you to keep searching and to tell the apartment management that you will not be submitting an application because of the ISP they chose. Trust me, you do not want to be stuck in this hellish scenario of wasting hours of your time weeks on end to get no where. What you are paying for is just not worth it. I have been a customer of ATT and Spectrum, while both have their failings, I can at the very least say that I was able to get a hold of someone who could help me eventually. If your service works as intended, then great, but do not get fooled by reviews written in the best of circumstances. If one thing goes wrong you are going to suffer for it because they are either too lazy, incompetent, or just plain spiteful to help you get your issue resolved.
