for the most part ive really enjoyed having them. granted, i believe they treat their new customers much better than their long time customers (including those transitioned from verizon). ive been a customer for almost a year and ive had to call customer service and get in touch with high level support for a few issues. last year around christmas i was having a lot of issues with line quality and packet loss. after some back and forth i was assured that the congestion would be alleviated with the updating of their lines so it will never happen again. hasn't happened since. i believe them too since they've just now started offering upwards of 2Gbit/s! that definitely requires updates across the hubs, lines, and ONT. overall, the times that ive contacted customer support have been helpful and i do believe they work very hard to solve issues. otherwise the service is reliable for the most part, and i enjoy the fiber speeds! ive noticed now, however, that new customers get a mesh wifi set up :P. much better offers than when i signed up. read more

I'm trying to get them to fix this old old 4G router that I wanted them to replace yet they suckered me into buying these eero. Worked great one day and then next day it was down again. So they finally sent a new router and nothing matches up. So I've repeatedly said that my cable box hasn't worked since my old TV went out four months ago. So they sent me a new cable box. I plugged it in and there's no power. Yet they don't want to send a technician out to my house to repair this mess that I have. And they said, they will have to charge me if they come out. So I now have their new router that doesn't work. And I have their new cable box that doesn't work. And I have the new eero that they sent me that doesn't work. The cable TV in my roommate's room went off. The internet used to fade in and fade out. At least once in a while, we'll get the internet. Customer location is in Valinda area, Southern California. It's been more than 48hrs since the Frontier fiber internet down. Beginning at early morning of 1/15/26. 1st the outage notification was posted on Frontier website. 24 hrs later, the website indicated internet is back. However, at my house it is stil nil. Got a service ticket from Frontier with an ETA for Monday 1/19/26. That's 4 days. Apparently, internet may be considered as non-essential, so no weekend service work. I work at home sometimes, so no internet, no work, no income. Ha ha, Frontier was trying to lure me to their Unbreakable Internet, 4G LTE. If this happened again, I'll consider moving to TMobile. read more

They don't know which way is Sunday. Yesterday my Internet stopped working. Today I had a service call. A technician came out and identified that the line going to my house was no longer communicating to the optical terminal network. He said somebody would be out to install a new line in 2-3 days. . I was so happy when I received an email an hour later saying they would be here today. I got another email at 5:43 PM saying second reminder that they would be out today today. When no one came, I communicated via Giga. Eduardo said the emails I received were delayed and that was not for the line repair service. I totally changed my plans for the evening because of this. I am a Frontier customer. They reached out to me about upgrading to Fiber service, which I agreed to. During the installation, the technician took the old equipment. Two months later, we received a bill for not returning the equipment. My wife called, spoke to a representative who made a note on the account that the equipment was returned. Two months later, I received a bill for not returning the equipment. I called this time. I speak to a representative and explain the situation. He agrees to deduct the cost of the equipment, but I still need to pay a $50 restocking fee. How can I be charged a fee to restock equipment that they can't locate? The equipment was very old and I highly doubt would be used again. Every person I speak to says they don't have the authority to overturn the fee. I have noticed that many people have the same situation with a restocking fee. read more

It's a scam and I look forward many years down the road to the eventual class action lawsuit settlement check they will undoubtedly have to issue to their former customers. We decided to cancel the service after only 1 month because while the speeds were good, the constant disconnection EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. between 6-9pm and ranging from 15 minutes to multiple hours for service to return became to much. After multiple tech visits and being gaslit saying "the line's perfect" I don't see anything wrong with the equipment I'd had enough. So I call to cancel the service and now they're trying to wheel and deal discounts, credits and top it off offering additional services called their "WIFI BOOST" to ensure connectivity when their system fails for an additional $15 a month. Their sales person was insistent on finishing his pitch even though I told him multiple times I'm not interested - he'd just restart his pitch over and over. 45 minutes on the phone to process the cancelation of service - unbelievable. On top of that I'm hit with $195 early disconnect fee. Complete morons, and they utilize ancient equipment that is about 20 years outdated and the techs that have come out repeatedly over the past 10 years, admit this, and when they do replace modules, they last a few months, they then fail, repeatedly. Of all of the companies that I have dealt with in the past, this company is the poster child for complete and total garbage. If you still choose to go with Frontier, you've been warned. By the way, the alternative for a land line is Spectrum, which uses the same wiring to activate your home phone's landline. If you do not have access to Frontier fiberoptic internet, their ISDN line is a freaking joke. Even slower than most third world countries. In my opinion, this company is an ongoing disaster. Maybe they should change their name to "Titanic Internet". You want a credit for no service? If you are really lucky, they will refund enough money to buy a hamburger at McD's, even if you have had no internet or phone service for weeks on end. I will not be recommending FRONTIER to anyone! I work from home, and I moved house and decided to give them another shot by transferring services. I called on Thursday, 6/27/2024, and was told by the representative that I would be without service for a few days because the only availability was a week away. I decided to wait and use my phone's hotspot. I was scheduled for 7/3/2024 for a technician to come and do the installation. The technician came on the scheduled day to just get the outside done and then proceeded to tell me that they would come back later in the day to finish connecting the services. I waited until 4 PM. No one ever showed up. I called Frontier, and they literally said that they were only doing one part and that the router was going to come on 7/11. I was so frustrated because, as I mentioned, I work from home. When I called to attempt to speak to a supervisor, the agents over the phone were no help whatsoever and seemed willing to lose the client. I was transferred to supervisors who had no availability or ability to override the system and were just trying to keep me as a customer by stating the same exact thing the previous agent had told me. When I tried to call to cancel, the agent over the phone was so rude and told me that I needed a PIN. I gave her my PIN, and she then told me that I had to wait another 5 hours and call back to make sure the service was discontinued. Stayed home all morning since my set time was 8am-12pm. Well I kept calling after 12 pm and they kept telling me they were having technical difficulties! Yet I STILL received a text that a technician was coming. Five hours later they did not come! I missed a day of work to attend to my internet situation since my husband had to be stuck at a Starbucks for over 6 hours to get his work done! So anyway I get rescheduled two days later! This time from 1-5pm. Miss work AGAIN since this is important! My kids get out of school at 1:45 and well, I thought let me leave them at their afterschool program since they're a bit wild running around and it's chaotic at times. Oh and may I say I pay $20 per child per hour! So I decide to leave two of my kids from 2-5pm since this technician is supposedly coming. Well guess what!? They don't show up AGAIN! Horrible experience with Frontier. They would not cancel my service when I was trying to evict someone from my home that I have a restraining order against. I was told I had to wait for a PIN to be sent to my address to verify the account, and I explained I wasnt at the house because the abuser was there. I didn't want to continue paying for the internet for someone the judge ordered to leave. They did not stop service until I didn't pay for that month and then charged another month and sent me to collections. Paid $118, half what they were charging me for 2 months of service just so it would not be on my credit report. Learned my lesson, will never use Frontier for any service in the future. read more

I had a terrible experience with Frontier: every weekend or a holiday - no internet. It dropps off Friday night, office is closed till Monday. Monday you call, they start doing something. It takes them at least 2 days to fix the terminal. You have internet on Thursday and part of Friday. Friday night no internet again , and all over again the whole cycle till next Thursday. If there were a negative star status that it was possible to give a review frontier would be it I cannot believe the terrible service my business which happens to be a church has received. We have been without Internet service for approximately two weeks now. I called to try to get service and I got some person clearly on the other side of the world who continuously told me that we did not have an Internet account. I ended up telling him that apparently no, we are never going to have an Internet account with you again. They are horrible. Their service is practically non-existant. The frontier sales representative was walking our neighborhood door-to-door, selling the new Internet fiber packages that were finally installed and available in our neighborhood. I was excited and signed up. Installation was supposed to occur four days later. No one showed up. Two days after that, an installer showed up and looked around the house and said there was no fiber lines installed on the poles! What?! How can they go around selling if they don't have the fiber installed yet. Two days later, another installer came by to install the fiber cable on the poles. he said he went to a neighboring street/house where the access was located to the pole and nobody was home so he couldn't get in to install. He left them a note on the door, to call Frontier. After a few days of nothing happening again, I called the customer service line, and was told that if they doesn't call, they can't get in the backyard to access the pole. I asked when will they will try again. I was told that they DON'T go back... but if I wanted to, I could go ask the neighbors to call them so they can get back in. Unbelievable! read more

First when I called them to get their service, the customer representative said we will come to install for you, never ever mentioned there will be an installation fee. So, once we had the service over a month the first statement came with the monthly fee plus $100+ installation fee. Meanwhile the monthly kept on going up from $40 to $90 for the same service. So, I cancelled the service I had to pay one more month of fee after I cancelled. Then two months later I got a letter of $55.18 for re-stocking fee. Non of the other companies charge be an installation fee or re-stocking fee. DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT call them or use their service. Extra fees like that who would want their service.
