The food here was delicious! It is definitely a place to find tasty vegan food (I am not vegan by the way). Also, the person who greeted us gave us neat ideas for cooking tofu, which I appreciated! I had a chile relleno, and it was awesome. My husband has the nobody calls me chicken sandwich. Both were great! read more

Vegos - Stuffed Sopapilla - Vegan Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

I'm visiting from San Diego which has plenty of vegan options and I have to say this is some of the best vegan food I've ever had. I love that it isn't a bunch of super processed food and that everything tastes so fresh without sacrificing flavor. I went here 3x and each time service was quick and friendly. Having a hard time choosing which dishes were my favorite, but the chickpea salad sandwich, stuffed sopapilla, and the breakfast seitan and tofu scramble burrito were all just magic read more

I've been here twice now with a vegan friend. First time I had the breakfast burrito and the second time I had the vegan crunch wrap thing which is AWESOME. I am going to go back just for that thing, it's seriously so good (and I am not vegan). The concha's was really good as well. A friend of ours had the Loaded Fries, which also looked awesome. I would 100% recommend this place. The service was friendly and helpful, fully willing to explain to my non-vegan self what the different proteins were like texture wise, etc. It's a cute spot with a laid-back and friendly atmosphere. Highly recommended! read more

Didn't realize this was vegetarian ahead of time, clearly didn't look close enough, but it was delicious. Had the spicy chicken sandwich and it was great. Friendly staff, would have been nice to have more drink options though read more

Delicious...first time here-service, food and atmosphere great...i came here when they opened at 11...i ordered the chili relleno with whole beans and rice...i highly recommend and will return... read more

Livin la vida tofu indeed! Vegos has such scrumptious food that it will convert even the most staunch meat-eaters. We had a few different items, all of which were just as good as before. I am an omnivore and even the most cheesy chile rellenos pale in comparison to Vegos. By far the best chile relleno I've ever had! The spicy tofu tenders have a nice kick and a great umami flavor. The folks at the counter were friendly and very accommodating to my special needs family member. Inside is a cute spot that is a much better space than their old location on carlisle. I appreciate that both the NCMC and Vegos brands are under one roof because it diversifies the menu. This is the best vegetarian/vegan restaurants, not only in ABQ but arguably in the country. Definitely give this place a try. read more

Vegos - Vegan Near Me - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Brilliant place for vegetarian options Personal recommendations include 1. Chile Relleno 2. Enchilada plate 3. Elotes (starter) While we ordered our food to be picked up, we ended up having at the restaurant itself. There seemed to be limited seating available for smaller/ medium groups and the staff was very friendly. I'll be sure to visit this place again during our next visit to ABQ read more

Crispy "chicken" is the best in the west! We also enjoyed the enchiladas (seitan and calabacitas mixed) with red and green sauce. Friendly service, outdoor tables, 5 star experience, will be back. read more

We've gone to Vegos a couple of times, and really love it. The first time, I had a Loco Tostarito and my wife had Stuffed Sopapilla. We've also tried the Empanadas, elotes, and El Jefe Burrito. The food is simply amazing. It's better than most meat- and cheese-based New Mexican food. The food is perfectly seasoned. The chef well has really thought through the use of vegan ingredients. Vegos will be on our rotation. read more

Vegos serves quality plant-based proteins that are very tasty. Unfortunately, they don't treat their staff with respect. Once I find out that a restaurant doesn't treat its workers well, it is hard to ignore. Owners of food establishments can often have inflated egos. Believing that they have the right to mistreat employees. It is never OK to abuse the staff. read more

Delicious New Mexican cuisine that is 100% vegan! This is a casual little spot with an awesome menu full of New Mexican classics like enchiladas, burritos, sopapillas, chile rellenos, and more. My favorite thing I've tried so far is the "Nobody Calls Me Chicken" sandwich with fries and the fry sauce. SO good! The churos are also bomb! The only thing I'd like to see changed is an addition of nut free cheese on the menu (for those with nut allergies) since their cheese sauce is cashew based. read more

Scrumptious Vegan Comfort Food. This place is amazing. Friendly staff, great ambience, and delectable plant based food. Had the tofu sandwich which was like a crispy chicken sandwich. This place is so legit! We ended up trying them on a whim, passing through New Mexico, and we love the food so much, that we had to plan our return back to Texas around this restaurant. We have vegans, vegetarians and meat-eaters in our family and everyone was incredibly satisfied by this filling and savory vegan food. read more

Well that was incredible.... Had their food a few times before, but I think having a space that they can really perfect all of their food and have the consistency of a physical location has been good to them. Went for the breakfast pop up this weekend, and the #5 burrito with avocado and Xmas was insane. Beans, tofu scramble, crispy potatoes, and chile...... too goooooood read more

If we could do half stars I would give this place 3.5 stars! I gave it 4 because i think it's better than 3. It was pretty delicious but some things could be better. The queso for the chips and queso has no taste unfortunately. There's basically zero taste. The chips are very salty which kind of makes up for it but it needs way more. The sandia burrito is very good, but everything in the burrito is not very spread out at all, so you will be eating just rice or just sauce etc for awhile until you reach everything in the burrito. My friend and I both got this burrito and that happened for both of us. The staff is super friendly! read more

I am not a vegan. Many of my friends and colleagues do lean that way. I find Vegos to be a decent place for lunch meetings with folx who need plant- based meals. The seitan Philly cheez steak is yummy, as is the fried soy curls Po'boy and the NCMC Sando. I eat both of the former with knife and fork. I also like the elote. My colleagues have enjoyed the chile relleno, the breakfast burrito, and the Bosque burrito. We all agree we'll keep coming back. Lunch is busy. There is a bare bones patio. My office picked up sandwiches here to serve at a conference. read more

Have wanted to try this place out for a long time and stopped a short few weeks ago at the Carlisle location to find they moved so googled the new place and found it. Loved the diner vibe. Not sure what the building was before but they did a great job. We got two different things and shared - I got the "chicken" sandwich and she got the enchilada - we also got an order of fries (regular, not sweet potato) with dipping sauce. Everything (except the fries and my iced tea) was way out in left field AWESOME) We both were bonkers for the sandwich - one of the best sandwiches ever!!! The enchilada plate was great too. Wife got a coke and I got iced tea - was not crazy for the iced tea - very weak. On the fries I would guess they were not hand cut but frozen? Small but not shoestring but soft and limp - not cooked brown or crisp at all. We found a new place!!! yea!! read more

Forgive the half eaten entrees, but we couldn't help but dig in and taste the amazing-ness Vegos had to offer!!! By now you get that this is a vegan restaurant. But does it pause on flavor?! Heck to the no! If someone blindfolded me and told me to eat this, I would have zero idea it was vegan. My husband and I are trying to be better about what we put in our bodies and let it be known that this place was our saving grace! Everything and I mean everything we ordered was delicious. I love how there were so many options to make the food your own as well. Great job to the owners and chefs who brought our New Mexican culture and flavor to healthy, vegan delicacy! read more

Recently went on a spin around multi territories and found myself crossing through Albuquerque. This place fell on the radar and decided to give it a go! Establishment was so off the charts that on the route back it required a second stop. First visit I decided to keep it simple with the "Seitan" burrito. Include was seitan, Spanish rice, pinto beans, chile, lettuce, tomato, and onion. This item was large and all the ingredients super fresh. This experience demanded a second visit, but this time I need to step up my item selection. This round I decided to roll with the "El Jefe" burrito and this was best decision on my part. Filled with red chile jackfruit, Spanish rice, pinto beans, potatoes, Queso, chile, lettuce, tomato, and onion. All the fillings complimented each other, fresh veggies, cutting edge flavor, and turns out to be the most rememberable burrito in my career. By far the best vegan Mexican experience I have ever taken part in, and the only downfall is that I don't live closer. 4.8 - Champion of New Mexico. read more

If you love New Mexican Cuisine you will love this place! If you eat plant-based your tastebuds will be very happy! This is a locally owned restaurant that serves up New Mexican Vegan. Vegos is an absolute gem for vegetarians and vegans. Creative, delicious food, and even reasonably priced. Love it!

Fire Fire Fire They're doing it right. Prices on point, food on point, customer service on point. They have even compensated for their short wait time with a complementary desert, the owner is an angel and I recommend this to any vegan in Abq. read more

Eat indoors or out! Order at the area by the entrance and pick your seat! This is a vegan restaurant! My non- vegan friends have enjoyed a great meal from them too. I find the servings are ample for lunch, that is when we usually go! read more

The BEST place in New Mexico!!! I am from out of town and I will be thinking of Vegos when I go back. I got the Sandia burrito and the churro. The burrito was amazing and I loved the sweet potatoes. So light and fresh. The churro hit just the spot and was not too sweet. If you're looking for fresh, healthy food this is THE place to go. Great taste too. Customer service is also great. They give you a huge glass of water and come by to check on you very often. Also very helpful when deciding what to get. It is a small store and there are not a lot of places to sit, but I did not find that to be an issue unless it was really busy. Super quick service too. read more

Vegos is a pop up New Mexican food cart that appears in different locations around Albuquerque. They advertise themselves at 100% vegan 110% deliciousness. So when I was in Albuquerque they happened to be at a brewery I was visiting called Gravity Bound which by the way I definitely recommend if you like well-made local beers. I arrived at the brewery at like 5 pm and as I approached this little cart, I saw the menu posted to the window with all of these yellow X's through almost all of the dishes. I was about to do baby pouts thinking wondering how the H' a pop up especially a vegan one can be so popular that they would sell out of everything at 5pm. Some lady in front of me was ordering and ordering and I'm thinking to myself is this the latest in TP like hording going on in NM:( Well thank God when I got to the front of the line the owners behind the cart basically said they were in the process of making more of things and that the menu would open back up for more items if I could patiently wait. I'm like no problem I have a whole beer menu to work through so I'll be back. Once those X's got removed, I jumped back in line to try out these New Mexican tasty treats. I knew I had to get the Posole Soup as I have always been a fan and never had a version with jackfruit so had to try that out. Also got their Hatch Green Chile Burrito which had pintos, seasoned potatoes avocado and of course the green chilies. Finally, I had to try their Jackfruit tamale to go. Salsa here is not included so I had to get a container of that also for a small up charge. Food was all absolutely delicious. The burrito as Epic with the green chilies, the tamale was so fresh and the jackfruit was no canned garbage and spliced well. The posole could have been spicier but was still very tasty are warming and the corn was very tender which is not always normally the case with posole. I saved some to go and had it later and it actually tasted even better as the flavors all melded together. Overall was super happy to have been able to try this pop up. I happen to have good luck both running into the place and having them re open up some of the sold out menu items again making more of the goods for those in pout mode. Thank You Thank You. Good Stuff for sure whether you are a veg head or not! read more

The food is always good here but the service and wait times seem to be slipping. Saturday night, dine in, and I get a foil wrapped burrito slapped down on the table on top of a napkin. Strange location, but outstanding food. It's in an old gas station. The food was wonderful.

It's good for what it is. They need to be more specific in the description of the restaurant. It's not Mexican. It's New Mexican vegan food. I'm just tired of New Mexican food. It's not that good. I mean the hatch chilies are incredible. That's where it ends. It was overpriced and just not that tasty. If you're ever in Los Angeles and you're looking for a delicious vegan Mexican option look up cena vegana. The marinate their vegan meats in authentic Mexican marinates such as al pastor, carne asada, birria. This shit is real as it can get without being actual meat and it's not 15 bucks for a burrito but more like $10 and twice as big. read more

How this place has such high ratings, I just do not know? The food was beyond just basic, nothing to open a restaurant for. It was 2:30pm and they were still serving breakfast items, and none of the "New Mexican" options that were advertised on the menu. They had an extremely limited picking for anything other than a potato burrito. The items we ended up with came out to $60 for a fake chicken sandwich, a fake beef burrito, and two fake fresca drinks. It was edible, but not $60 worth of anything that was consumed. The cashier was horrible, and had zero personality. Zero words. She mumbled basic commands and honestly did not even deserve the 15% tip I felt obligated to give. I usually try to leave 25% of my tab for the workers, but lowered it to just 15%- In all honestly, I was bugged to even dole out that. The food wasn't even healthy... like at all. Just literally go to any other resturant within 100 mile radius of this one, and you'll probably get the same, if not better then what I just paid for. Seriously go to Taco Bell and get a "Vegan" bean burrito. The resturant itself was as lame and generic as they come. Horrible location, horrible seating, horrible space all around. Lame AF. Im sorry, I feel the people who are about this place, seriously must have gotten their taste buds stripped from Covid. It was seriously about as basic as food gets. I haven't felt jipped like this in years, and Ive eaten at some questionable places. I wish I could just get my money back, and make it go away. Vanilla, with a capital V. If you are looking for a True New Mexican resturant, let me tell you, this is not it. Keep looking. read more

Great little restaurant in a strip mall. I had the seitan burrito and it was excellent. Fresh and tasty wrap, pinto beans, lettuce and the seitan. It's huge though so I was able to get 2 meals out of it. French fries were ok, a bit limp. Staff is incredibly kind and ran our food to us in the car. No outdoor seating and just a small number of tables inside. read more
