We haven't be here in a long time, when we were not used to New Mexican food, so we were hesitant to come back. Had family in town and gave it another try. So glad we did, it was a great experience for a large group. There were 8 of us and no complaints, that is always a win! The food is delicious, definitely very New Mexican though, so make sure that is what you are wanting. There was a long wait time for a table, which is typical for a Friday night most places. We decided to sit at the bar and enjoy drinks and dinner. They make some great margaritas on the rocks. When they ask if you want green or red sauce on your enchiladas, don't fall for the green sauce is milder. Ask for the sauce on the side. While I miss the location on Eubank, this is a nice alternative. While I was home for Christmas, I was craving a Roberto's special. I asked my sister if we could go to Sadie's. So, my niece, her husband, my sister, and I got in the car. I was surprised at the size and decor of this location. Even though I know that this is a newer construction, the inside faithfully recreates Southwest style decor. I was impressed by the higher ceilings and the "adobe" style niches. The menu is the same as other locations. However, I found my Roberto's special to be the best one I've ever had. The burger was perfectly seasoned and cooked to my liking. The queso was rich and creamy. The potatoes were crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. The beans were just wonderful with the queso. I was perfectly content with my lunch. Everyone else really enjoyed their food. All of them took food home. Service was decent. My iced tea was empty a few times. I will happily return, next time I'm home. read more

Portions seem a tad smaller and this time I noticed I had to order chips and salsa separately, which was an additional charge. I don't know if that's just with delivery but in the past when I've ordered carry out it comes with chips and salsa. I also wasn't sure if I was gonna get a sopapilla so I ordered an order of sopapillas, which was an additional charge. I believe prior I was given one sopapilla, but again, the description didn't say whether I would get one or not. Might be helpful for them to clarify their menu a bit. Overall, it was expensive for a delivery order. I did get two meals out of it, but it was still costly. I still highly recommend this local favorite even though I will limit my ordering due to "shrinkflation" and increased costs that are affecting restaurants across the board. read more

Went for lunch with a group, we wanted to sit outside - it was not busy and they had no problem sitting us there, which also led to more customers wanting to sit and enjoy the weather! Service was good the whole time, a couple mishaps in some orders but nothing that was not corrected right away! The food was good, we all enjoyed our meals and drinks! The sopapillas are dangerous!!! It's been awhile since my last stuffed sopapilla. Sadie's did not disappoint! I had the stuffed sopapilla with carne adovada a la carte. The meat was tender and flavorful and the sauce tasted of a labor of love. Tortilla chips with a red chile salsa was offered before ordering. This was a large amount of food for the cost. I had more than enough left over for the next day. The server also brought over a basket of fresh hot sopapillas on the side. Large crowds on a Saturday night but the staff kept the tables turning quickly. Service was friendly and efficient. My server checked up periodically to make sure I had everything I need and refill water. We didn't wait too long, maybe 10-15 minutes, to get in even though they were busy. We sat on the other side of the restaurant and they had special sopapillas for St Patrick's Day which was cute (although we didn't get any, just heard or saw others). Best food I have had in ABQ so far. We came back to eat just Sopapillas. We are vegetarian and asked for Stuffed Sopapillas with Calabasitas, side of calabasitas and guacamole. It came with 2 sopapillas on the side too. We don't get sopapillas in California, so we tried them at a couple of restuarants here and Sadies has so the best ones we had.
