Indian Pueblo Kitchen is serving native sourced Pueblo inspired food in a charming space inside the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. Staff were helpful with recommendations, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive during dining. FOOD 5/5 prime rib fry bread, red chili Au jus (subtlety spicy), served with a side of green chili ranch salad was outstanding 4/5 Elk chili was good with generous beans and a sprinkle of raw red onions - it's less viscous and less spiced than an American chili

We tried the Huevos Rancheros, Santa Fe Burger, small Elk Chili with Blue Corn Bread Muffins. All was delicious, glad we made it here for the Kitchen and for the museum and special event they held. It was a long wait for the our food, possibly due to it being so busy after GON, but our waitress did her best with all the tables she had to tend to & gave us some chips and salsa on the house. The food was definitely worth the wait.

This restaurant is located in the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center. We came to see some dancers and tour the museum, couldn't pass up Native American food! Shared the elk chili and the Indian taco. Finished off with the bread pudding. The elk chili had great layers of flavor and lots of meat. The fry bread was good and the beans were so delicious. The bread pudding came with loads of fresh berries

Food was hot and tasty and I love ed the house seasoning on the table. Attached to a small visitors center, it's worth a visit!

A+ for the service A for food - blue corn enchiladas & steak - complex flavor on enchilada sauce, very delicious -- and the kitchen nailed the correct temp for steak. The interior is a bit museum-sterile but the earth time tones warm it up a little. The patio has more charm, weather-permitting. They also appear to host private events and larger parties.

Had a lovely lunch on a sunday. The building is so beautiful. Open and inviting. Tons of seating. We were greeted and seated right away. Our waitress was attentive and took fabulous care of us. There is a large menu with choices for everyone. We will certainly be back!

We didn't have time to visit the museum, but we definitely made time for the restaurant! We arrived around 4 p.m. for an early dinner/late lunch and were seated right away. We shared the Indian taco, blue corn-battered onion rings, waffles with a side of spam, and a harvest salad for good measure. The standout dishes were definitely the Indian taco and those incredible onion rings. It was crispy, flavorful, and with a distinct blue corn taste. The waffles were a bit bland, and the salad was just average. Our waitress recommended the Pueblo cookie, but unfortunately, it was dry and lacked flavor. Still, we'd come back just for those onion rings alone! Service was excellent, and we also got to try the local Zia drink in the Sandia flavor, which was a nice touch.

Stopped at Indian Pueblo Kitchen in Albuquerque for lunch and ordered an Indian taco. It took an hour and a half to get my food, which was surprising since the restaurant wasn't busy. When it finally arrived, it was just "okay" tasted like a mix of ingredients with little flavor, even with the added chilies. Definitely could use more spice. Other tables seemed to be experiencing the same long wait.

We happened upon this while in Albuquerque for the day. DO NOT miss!! What a neat place for a meal. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. What a cultural experience! Don't miss the Blue Corn Onion Rings too!

I came here to eat a very late lunch after visiting the cultural center. There is a separate entrance and parking lot if you are exclusively coming to eat. I had heard good things about coming here and I was interested in their menu which has some meals specializing in native local cuisine w an emphasis on meals made using ingredients indigenous to the Americas. I came in around 3 pm on a Saturday and this place was packed. I didn't have a reservation and was still able to walk in and immediately be seated as a party of 1 but families of 4+ had to wait to find seating. Service was slow but I imagine this was related to them being busy. Indian Taco 3/5, ultimately decided on this as I wanted to try fry bread for the first time and I think I will simply have to try it again because this was kind of soggy (likely due to the sauces and food). I ordered this w ground beef and green chili which was supposed to be spicy and this was mild at most

Visiting Indian Pueblo Kitchen is a dining experience unlike any other New Mexican restaurant. The menu conveys historic Native American dishes with culinary creativity. I ordered the Indian Taco. It was huge and would be plenty for two people to share. It was really good and very filling. The service was great! Maybe next time I'll get some pies to go!

Stopped by the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and grabbed lunch at their Kitchen restaurant. It was packed on a Tuesday afternoon, but service was friendly and quick. There's plenty of parking available, which is always nice. We tried a few fun and unique items: Blue Corn Onion Rings (half order was $10) - they were nice and crispy and served with a tasty green chile ranch. I really liked these - you could really taste the corn flavor. Kool-Aid Fried Pickles ($10) - these pickle slices were marinated in black cherry Kool-Aid, crusted in blue corn, and also served with the same green chile ranch. They were sour, salty, and very unique - not sure if I will ever see this again elsewhere... New Mexico Chile Cheese Fries ($10) - the fries were topped with melted cheese and we opted for both red and green chile. It was a standard but satisfying dish. Indian Taco ($16 + $5 for ground lamb) - these were served on housemade fried bread with beans, lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, and both red and green chile. The fried bread was great, but the taco overall probably could have used a bit more acidity or spice. Zia Native American Sodas ($4.25 each) - we tried the Sandia (watermelon, mint, lime) and Piñon Cola (roasted piñon nut, kola nut, and lime). The Sandia was a bit too mild for me, but the Piñon Cola had a nice molasses-like depth. Also these sodas were both under 100 calories and made with natural ingredients. Overall, this is a nice spot to try creative and authentic New Mexican and Native American food with local ingredients.

Just a quick little stopping place as you leave or enter the concourse. Super nice staff. Just ordered up something small to get me by until my next destination, so I ordered up some of their house chips & salsa along w/an order of their Fried Kool Aid Pickles. Blue corn crusted pickle slices marinated in black cherry Kool-Aid and battered with blue corn. Comes with green chile ranch. They weren't as weird as I thought they would be. Love the blue corn crusting & the green chile ranch is a brilliant touch. It's a part of a food court type setting, & the only bathroom in the whole area is right next door to them.

Don't forget to check out the museum and the store while you're at the restaurant

I selecte Ramona's to be my first spot, and it was a great decision. Came to find out, this is a second location of a locally loved spot, this one was near Old Town which I was going to spend time in for the day, so that's why I chose it. This location opened recently, and feels like walking into a family home for breakfast. It's a good size, with potential for a lot of outdoor seating as well. I received excellent service, not over-bearing, perfectly attentive and kind. Helped me make my big breakfast burrito decision. I got it with chorizo... and man oh man, this thing was a monster. I could not finish it, especially given that there were more fries on the side with more cheese and chiles on them! I would have preferred rice or beans, since there was already plenty of potato inside the burrito. It was too much delicious food... never a bad thing. I guess as an outsider, while I love the chiles, the inclusion of just standard grated mixed cheese all over everything was a bit much for me. Where I come from queso is like a white cheese sauce, but that is why you travel and try! I admit, I would have liked the cheese just on the burrito instead of spilling onto my fries, it made them a bit soggy. The burrito was enough alone and definitely the star. While I am sure if I visit again, I'll visit new places, I would not hesitate to be a repeat visitor here if I were a local!

We took a stroll around old town Albuquerque. And decided to look at the menu at Church St Cafe. We decided to give it a try. The hostess walked us through a door into the restaurant, which went on forever with beautiful, cozy, quaint rooms filled with people that eventually led to a beautiful patio. We were in shock when we eventually sat down by a pond with waterfall. The decor was spot on with perfect New Mexico south west style. The server, Mico, was the best. Their red, green, and regular salsas were wonderful. We ordered a top shelf margarita and a spicy margarita. My top shelf margarita was the WORST margarita i have ever tasted. It cost $20.00 for a small gross tasting sweet margarita mix with no hint of resposado tequila or other ingredients that make it a top shelf drink. Mico was sweet and took it off our bill. She was curious and asked about why I told her it was the worst. I asked if the margarita had agave, Grand Marnier, Cointreau, lime juice, resposado tequila. (I add a little OJ and pineapple juice) Church st cafe has a license to only carry New Mexico brands of liquor. They do not have the ingredients to make a Top Shelf/ Cadillac Margarita. I wish we Wouid have know. I Wouid not have ordered a cocktail. Proper expectations make the experience better. The manager, Marie, spoke with us. She was very nice. She explained how they make it and their restraints with their liquor license. This cocktail could be made better and the price dropped. But after listening to Marie, it seems that "it is what it is" and will not be fixed. I hope they do try to make a better margarita to match the beauty of the space. The ambiance of this place is so cool. We will go back to try more of their food with no cocktail and sit in one of the cozy rooms.

The first was the roast beef dip with chili as the au jus and it was wonderful. The queso is also outstanding as is the salad with the cranberries--crisp, fresh and tasty. The fried ice cream is superb. The second meal was the Pueblo burger, which was a hamburger on fry bread. It was truly awful. The patty was gray and utterly tasteless. I think it was one of those frozen premade things. It leaked grease which made the fry bread soggy. The lettuce on it was butt end bitter romaine that was wilted and had turned slimy the longer it sat on the fry bread. I gave up on the whole thing pretty quickly. I suppose I could have raised a fuss and asked for something else but I just wasn't up to it. (I am here because my husband is in the VA hospital and I am pretty drained.) Had anyone at any time asked how it was, I would have told them. My advice is to have one of their excellent margaritas and enjoy the beautiful patio, and stay far, far away from any hamburger.

Nice choice of fancy high-end margaritas, but their mix is way too artificial tasting, without much if any fresh lime juice. The cheap margarita mix and industrial tortillas alone would have been enough to prevent a return visit. We have done so much better on previous visits here. On top of that, service was in full-on meltdown mode. Table next to us, which had been seated and served drinks before we arrived, was having words with the server about how long their food was taking. "Will it even be hot," she asked. After we had ordered and been served drinks, and ordered and been served food, they finally threw a few crumpled bills on their still-empty table and walked. My combo plate was completely wrong, and my wife's fajitas lacked the sour cream she ordered and the tomatoes and pico de gallo that were supposed to come with it. Wait staff blamed the kitchen rather than owning the mistakes on behalf of the restaurant. Took five minutes, and two requests, for my wife to even get her tiny container of sour cream. Everyone was pleased with their choices. The burritos were big and tasty. The carne adobada had a lot of deliciously marinated pork and the steamed potatoes were quite a good addition. The tortilla with butter was simple yet delicious, with a firm and thick tortilla. The tamal plate was almost perfect. The red and green sauces were amazing, but I was slightly partial to the spicier green chile sauce. The masa on the tamales was firm and good. The Margarita Flatbread was med. Taste was pretty good, but it was soggy and didn't hold up well at all. That said it was the best of the 3 things we did get. Unfortunately, that's not saying much..... The burger was okay also. Not bad by any means, but nothing special at all either....considering there's a burger place next door I thought the burger would be able to compete with the neighbor, but trust me if you want a burger, go next door! The bun didn't add much for us either, even though it was baked in house with green chilli....A simple brioche would be better imo... The fries with the burger were actually the best single item of the experience. Their fries are really good! So good that I was going to eat every single one of them but instead my waiter just came and took my plate before I had finished the last 10 or so. No are you finished yet, or anything, just grabbed it, turned and left. I was so shocked I didn't even have time to say I'm not done with that. He left the crummy chicken bites we weren't eating though..... LOL Seriously don't touch my plate unless it's empty, or you ask first!
