This was only my second time here. My partner & I are in town for the Balloon Fiesta and wanted something to eat. Since I was familiar with the restaurant, we came here. It's a different location, but the food was just as good. We were greeted when we walked in an opted to sit outside. It was a little breezy, but felt good. I was feeling a salad so I ordered the BLT chopped salad with additional fried chicken. You can't go wrong with bacon! AND, the answer to avocado is always yes! It came with a champagne vinaigrette, which didn't really seem like enough, so I ordered a side of ranch. My partner didn't eat the pinon that came with her meal, so I threw those on my salad as well. My partner ordered the Pesto Pasta with grilled chicken. She also got a side of the sauteed balsamic mushroom. Whoa! Those mushrooms were delicious! For drinks she ordered the bourbon mule, and I got my typical IPA. The meal and drinks hit the spot. I can always count on Tula's to quench my thirst and fuel my appetite. The host and server were very polite. The place wasn't packed, so the ambiance was chill. SHOO FLIES!!!! Don't get me wrong bc I really love this place BUT keeping the big Patio doors open to the restaurant was a big mistake. They do have a very nice patio but I was eating inside in lieu of out in the 95 degree heat and flies. I mentioned it to my very sweet server and she got me a battery fan to put on my table to shoo flies! (See pic) I ordered their wonderful Reuben w Caesar side and ate it with the fan shooing the flies while I ate inside. Seriously!! I did let her know the homemade croutons were stale and tough and not very edible. Service, food and drinks here are always very good and polite. I really liked this Tulas location! Having been to the other off of Pan American, this one gives a super chill vibe in contrast to the more upscale busy location. We walked in on a Friday night and were seated right away. Our server MJ was sooooo nice and attentive to us. The food was super bomb, I loved the side options- my favorite being their brûléed creamed corn wooow was it decadent! Their loaded mashed potatoes were full or flavor and thick cut bacon pieces. Being a sister restaurant to Dion's, I love being able to get their ranch in new flavors like chipotle. Will be back! read more

I always have a good meal at Tulas. Have yet to be disappointed. The tomato bisque is my favorite with their grilled cheese and side Ceasar salad. I highly recommend their cranberry Moscow mule. Tulas is the kind of place I'd take my parents to on a visit. It's nothing outlandish or wild on the menu, has a fun atmosphere without being Rowdy, and they have lots of seating and parking. The portions are fine, and the meals themselves are solid but not impressive. read more

It's an okay place with a good ambiance, though the kitchen can be a bit slow. Likely better for lunch. We got the prime rib that they only have on weekends. I would advise not getting this, since we later found out that it's not made to order. It's pre made (although it seems this is standard in restaurants) and sits in the warming area all day. Our prime rib was over "well done," it was "congratulations." Dry as a bone. Tough as nails. No way to get a prime rib there any other color since it's already premade. It's definitely not a steak place. I'll get a salad next time. read more

This was our first experience at Tula's, and it won't be our last. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and seated in a comfy and clean booth. Our server appeared quickly with water, our menus, and took our drink order. He returned just moments later and brought us a plate of complimentary green chile biscuits! Yum!! A few minutes went by and our drinks appeared and our food order was taken. About 10-12 minutes our food arrived hot and tasty! We both had the chicken strips which came with a side salad. It all was so good and filling. We had leftovers to take home. I do want to say they have a very nice wine list that is affordable unlike many more expensive Albuquerque restaurants. read more

The soup was tasty, and the sandwich was pretty good- a little too much turkey for my taste. My husband had the mushroom peppercorn steak. It was cooked well, and he enjoyed the peppercorn sauce. One person had the steak salad. She said it was good, not great. The salad was served with large leaves of lettuce (she had to cut them up) and steak. She mentioned that she wished there was a little more to the salad- it was just the lettuce and steak. The last person in our party had the green chile chicken pasta. She liked it. Tonight, we went to Tulsa's Kitchen for a lite dinner and a dessert to celebrate my wife's birthday. We shared a club sandwich and cup of tomato bisque soup. It was very good and they didn't skimp on the meat. For dessert, we shared a bread pudding with vanilla ice cream with chocolate and caramel sauce on top. It was very tasty. We had been in once before and we returned today. Todays experience was outstanding even though we had to wait about 20 minutes to be seated. I had the kabobs with a BLT side salad. Everything was delicious! I especially liked the BLT side salad. Nice champagne vinaigrette. My husband had a bowl of green chile soup and he liked it ! We topped it off with panna cotta and espresso. The panna cotta had a nice consistency but was fairly bland. Nice raspberry sauce on top helped, as well as the fresh berries. I went with my lunch ladies for our lunch outing and thoroughly enjoyed Tula's. The food was delicious, the ambiance great and we had an enjoyable afternoon. More than sure we go here at least twice a month, Dion's really did the thing with this place. There's not one thing I've had or my husband has had that's not good. I love the Italian sausage pasta. The best pink sauce I've had in town. All the sandwiches are yummy. My husband loves the dipper and the turkey sandwich with green chile! There's the best little cheese green chile bread you can get before the meal that is just the best. Recently they've added some new things to the menu like an appetizer of meatballs. The best! We usually sit in the cocktail area vs the restaurant itself. The bartenders are always great servers. The mangers are especially great. Always attentive. I appreciate Bill, he's a wonderful manager. My husband really likes coming here cause he said he loves the layout and the decor. That it's all very down to earth! Let's start off with these complimentary green chile cheese biscuits with honey butter... I could eat these for the rest of my life, so delicious. Ordered the prime rib sandwich and quinoa salad. Service was extremely slow at 5pm on a Sunday-no excuse as they were not busy. The server finally brought meals for five of our party of six and left us waiting for another 5-10 minutes for the last plate to arrive. While waiting, another member of our party sent back a steak that was ordered medium rare and arrived well done. For another 20-30 minutes we watched other food go by while we were completely ignored. I really value good customer service, which seems to be lacking in many establishments nowadays. I thought it was pretty good, even though I didn't care for the crispy chicken tenders that I ordered. The crust looked good on the chicken, however, under the crust it had some sort of weird herbally coating that I did not care for. Not saying it was bad, just not for me. I'd never tasted that herb before (it was not parsley that tasted "bad", maybe marjoram?). Also, the tzatziki was weird as well. I love tzatziki and have had it many times, but I think that same weird herb was in this. I had the Tula's Village salad as a side, and it was super salty. Perhaps this was from the olives, but if so, they should have been rinsed the olives, because mouthfuls of salt aren't what I paid for. That having been said... the Duke City Grilled Cheese that my husband ordered was pretty tasty. I question if there were 3 different types of cheese in it, however. This reminded me of middle of the road, diner stuff, maybe slightly elevated. The service was decent. However, all the girls looked alike and it was hard to know which one was our waitress (haha). Overall, it was ok. We could end up back here as it was very clean and comfortable. There were a good amount of people here, but it was not very noisy at all!! Call me old, but I think it's because the clientele we saw were mostly middle aged. There was one very polite young couple there with a child. So we finally came back for a second time and I have to say that it was just as Amazing if not better than our first visit. Our waitress was absolutely amazing and on point. Our drinks never went without refilling and she came around several times to check on us. She brought us out some complimentary green chile biscuits that were so scrumptious. I don't remember getting any the first time we visited but that was over a year ago so maybe this is something new. My husband ordered a Thai BBQ sandwich that he kept raving about and let's not forget his delicious lemonade with Hibiscus. He was in heaven and was very pleased. I had the turkey club with the tomato bisque soup and it was just as fantastic as I remembered. The soup actually got better and it was already near perfect and the sandwich tasted so fresh and delicious. We are definitely fans of Tula's and we will be coming back more often. Ambiance Went to the one off I-25 . Nice and new. Very spacious. Lots of booths and tables. Feels clean and looks clean. Clean mens bathroom. Great location. Service Was ok. The gal seemed super busy had a lot of tables. Asked for extra tzatziki never got it. She was not very attentive but not her fault. I will chalk up to busy Sunday lunch rush. Food Came with two others they ordered the beef and chicken kabobs respectively. Both were one skewer with veggies and potatoes very uneventful for over 20 bucks a plate and meats were dry. I ordered the slouvaki chicken for 17 was basically a chicken gyro. Chicken was dry but had good taste. Also had tots on yhe side just your normal frozen tots nothing special did not even bring out ketchup. The best thing was the little biscuits and butter they give you when we sat down. Price was 72 bucks for lunch for 3 that is with drinking only waters and tip. Overall I give this a 3 stars. Ambiance was great. Food was so so. I will give another try there were some other food items that have possibilities. We will see. read more

Met family here for a nice dinner yesterday. We grabbed some seats at the bar and had beers as we waited for a table. We were seated outside which the weather was perfect for. I ended up ordering the Chicken Kabab which comes grilled vegetables and potatoes with a side of the tzatziki sauce. The chicken was tender and cooked just right. Dipping the chicken in the sauce is also really good. I really enjoyed my meal. The rest of the table enjoyed their dinner as well. To cap the night we ordered the Ice Cream Sunday and the Lemon Icebox Pie for dessert. Both were good but I would highly recommend the Lemon Icebox Pie. Tula's Kitchen is a new-ish concept coming from the same owners of a decades old beloved local brand, Dion's. I've only been once but I would go back again if it wasn't so far tbh I know I know, however, they are in the middle of opening a second location on pan American freeway that I certainly intend to visit. The food was good, I got a green chile turkey sandwich which tasted familiar. I asked my server for recommendations and he suggested the Mac n cheese stating it was the "best" he'd ever had. Now listen I am a self appointed Mac n cheese aficionado, now was it the best I'd ever had... no, however it was still really tasty. The service was great, they do have cocktails which I did not try but the bar was cute. The ambiance is nice, very clean, and still new. We were very satisfied with the experience overall, I look forward to their new location which will be much larger. read more

Visited Tula's kitchen for the first time and was completely wow'd by the decor and colors of the restaurant. Absolutely loved the interior and wish I took more photos of the decor and didn't... Fast forward to the food! It was awesome! I got a prime rib sandwich special paired with the Greek cucumber salad and my husband had a chopped salad. Both plates were delicious! The service was good as well although it took a few minutes to get a table. The table we were seated at was a booth and one of the things I didn't love was that the booths were very narrow. It felt very tight and perhaps we had a smaller booth than others but my long legs hit my husbands who sat across from me. Probably sounds silly but it's wasn't the most comfortable. Loved the heavy cutlery as silly as that sounds. And looking forward to trying other menu items. They have a full bar, plenty of parking and it was clean! read more

Still absolutely love this place. I tried two different options over the last two weeks. The airline chicken and the blt chopped salad with steak. The sauce that came with the airline chicken is heavenly~ the chicken itself was cooked to perfection. And who doesn't love mashed potatoes???? As for the blt chopped salad.
