We were looking for a nice casual meal outside of the hustle and bustle of old town but at least nearby. Early on a Saturday it wasn't very crowded at all and the staff were all very friendly. It's a relatively small space so I can see how it could get pretty crazy at various times of day. I tried the vegetable tostadas. There were an amazing amount of grilled vegetables plus avocado as part of the dish. I'm pretty sure I got about two days worth of my servings of vegetables out of one meal. They were done just right, though unfortunately veggies make tostada shells kind of soggy after a short time of resting on them. But that really wasn't a huge drawback. The staff did a great job of checking on us and making sure drinks were refilled and we didn't need anything else. They seemed to have a decent selection of vegetarian dishes on the menu, so I shall have to go back and try more!
It was okay. Don't think I'll return. Reminded us of a airport restaurant, good enough, but nothing special. I got the Santa Fe sandwich, it was fine. Got the green chili stew as a side, was mostly ground beef and pretty greasy. My bf got the green chili burger, it was okay. The cheese fries were somehow disappointing, never met a cheese fry I didn't like before these. The highlight was they had BOTTLES of kombucha available from Urbanmama!! Which is how we chose the place. Some nice local beers on tap. And about 7 TV in the place made for easy watching of the CFPs.
I went to Two Cranes for my college graduation brunch and it quite good. The outside seating is so cute I love the water seating area as it's relaxing and is covered in shade. The service was accommodating for a large group of people around 10 and they were friendly especially with making drinks at request. My drink was the black berry smash, it was a little strong but the waiter recommend adding simple syrup which was nice. The burrito protein bowel is very tasty! I had beef with it, the rice was a little oily but over all flavor was savor. My grandma was obsessed with the chicken salad with honey mustard and kept saying it was the best salad she ever had and that's coming from an 80 year old. Overall I would recommend this cute place in abq.
i would give this place a 3/5 stars . the service was great , very fast, and great customer service with great understanding! The restaurant itself chose your seat, i discussed with my waiter regarding a couple options on the food menu they raved about the fall specials . Thus i tried the shrimp salad , it came out fresh and very well presented . When i ate it i immediately tasted off, i tried about 2-3 more bites and ate about 2/5 shrimp . i started to feel very nauseous. now the shrimp was fresh looking and hot when eaten no abnormalities where shown . The pretzel bites were good the queso was okay . I think it would've been better with a good mustard or honey mustard . I asked the waiter to take my salad as i didn't like it and i started to feel very nauseous. She asked my opinion i told her i wasn't satisfied she immediately offered to take off the salad from my ticket with no complications she was very understandable and accommodating ! i boxed up my pretzels and paid for my ticket. I would say i don't know if i'll go back . If i do i would definitely get different entrees . Maybe it was me or maybe it was the food or both. But i would say give it a try and see for yourself.
Looking for a place right when we got to town to catch the 2nd half of football! Good reviews and TV's brought us here. They have KJ Chardonnay so that was a great surprise. Servers were SO helpful and accommodating changing TV's to the game we were going for. I typically don't do fried food ( my stomach) but the mushrooms were very tender & juicy!
We took the fam on a Sunday afternoon. It was quiet and uncrowded. We found a seat inside after finding the only table to fit our party size on the patio dirty. Inside it's all bar height tables with 3 low top, but the benches are significantly taller than the tables, so it was very uncomfortable for our tall family. The menu has a ton of delicious sounding menu items, so it was hard to choose. We ended up trying the southern fried chicken salad, chicken sandwich, green chile cheeseburger, and truffle mac & cheese. The salad was simple (read:basic) and I would've preferred fresh fried chicken strips over a handful of fried frozen chicken nuggets, but their hot sauce options added nice flavor to jazz it up. The gc cheeseburger was only so-so compared to the many options offered around town, same went for the mac & cheese. The chicken sandwich was juicy and delicious with the bacon and grilled onions. Our takeaway was "decent but not memorable." I tried the hot honey lavender margarita, which was amazing. Probably one of the best margaritas I've ever had, honestly. Over all, come for the drink selection, give the food a try, but don't expect to be blown away. If you're tall, head outside or to the high top tables.
Sports bar with plenty of tv's and friendly staff willing to put your favorite game on. Servers were very attentive but not intrusive. There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. We had the burrito bowl with shrimp. The shrimp was very flavorful however the rice was watery.
What a find! This restaurant has the best cuisine we've had in a long time. Fresh and well prepared. Indoor and outdoor seating with friendly staff and our waitress checked on us often. We started with appetizers of Chorizo Rellenos, Flautas, and Elotes. There's ample enough portions to not only make these your meal, but shared with another. The Chorizo Rellenos had a perfectly fried crunchy egg roll wrap around a poblano filled with chorizo and gooey melted cheddar with a creamy green chile sauce. A wonderful balance of savory and heat. Our absolute favorite! The Flautas were just as good though, stuffed with pulled chicken also super crispy and topped with sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, and sriracha. Our order of Elotes was a whole ear of fresh, crisp corn topped with mayo, cojita cheese and cilantro and lime chile. Perfect! We finished our meal with their Spinach and Herbed Goat Cheese salad tossed in a wonderful balsamic vinaigrette and topped with fried prosciutto, mandarin oranges, roasted red bell peppers, red onions and pistachios. Everything was so darned delicious! What a perfect, delightful meal full of amazing and fresh flavors! I wish we lived in this town as we'd be here often!
First time here! Thursday's are $10 burgers! We arrived and were told to pick a seat. It was not super busy. We did and waited over 25 minutes to be acknowledged.... waters came but with no refills, other guests came and seemed to get their orders in because we watched as plates of the $10 burger kept coming out. Soon our waitress told us they made a mistake...really? I think they forgot and instead of just comping the order after another 10-15 minute wait, they gave a very slight discount. Slight. Needless to say, the burger was delicious!!!! it was not worth the wait but it was juicy, cooked as requested with golden crunchy fries on the side. This bumped up my review from 2 "stars" to 3. The experience was a bummer considering the hype from fellow friends. Need to rethink and maybe go at a different time.
I really overdid it at Two Cranes, and that's because the food was delectable, and the drinks were delicious. I would bring anyone here and they'd find something to love. With live music and an attentive bartender with an ability to tweak the drinks for sweet and bitter, it was seductively easy to settle into my last dinner before leaving Albuquerque. Balanced, flavorful cocktails excited and encouraged me to try another. The grilled salmon is all I've ever wanted in life: served with crunchy and buttery bread, seared for crisp, and dying to be used to sop up a creamy pesto sauce that brought everything together. You can't go wrong here if the menu looks good to you.
The great thing about this place is that the food is pretty reasonably priced. It was lovely to get a meal, with tip, under $20. The food was mediocre. I personally would have liked the chicken to be bigger pieces than shredded chicken. Not too much of green chile flavor. I won't go out of my way to eat there. I would go if someone wanted to. The service was fine.
The green chile chicken pasta it is nice and creamy. With chile, that is not too hot. It comes with two half slices of toast with butter. This is a pretty healthy portionot too much or too little. My server was Sophia. Attentive but not over attentive. Sophia is a great server. I will come back.
Came into 2 cranes on a Saturday afternoon. They were short staffed but our service was still good. They have a decent beer selection but their been menu is posted high on a wall and wasn't visible so I had to get up every time I wanted to look at the menu. Maybe a beer menu on the table or behind the bar? Let's get to the food. Gotta say. I was pleasantly surprised! Here's what I had: Burrito bowl- it's sort of like a chipotle bowl. My carne asada was seasoned well and my rice was cooked perfect. 4 of 5 stars Philly cheese steak sandwich- it didn't look like it would be great but it in fact was pretty tasty! The meat had great flavor, however my fries were cold and the cheese was just ok. 3 of 5 stars. They were short staffed but still attentive. 3 of 5 stars. We had 2 beers and 2 margaritas and our bill was around $60. I plan on coming back to taste more of the menu.

Hubby and I wanted to try something new so we strolled into Two Cranes to check it out. We were immediately greeted while entering and told we could sit anywhere. Waitress immediately came over and took our drink orders and was super friendly. We started with the Chorizo Rellenos which were absolutely amazing. I don't think I've had a better appetizer than this before honestly. The downfall was the entrees unfortunately. I'll start with hubby's dish which was the Shrimp Scampi. He took one bite and looked so discouraged so he asked me to taste it. All I could taste on that first bite was an overwhelming amount of Garlic. We love garlic but this was either burnt or saturated... It was bloody awful and inedible. My green chile chicken was no better but after insisting to hubby to ask for another dish I just kept eating mine while he waited for a hamburger. My dish had no flavor at all. I added salt after salt after salt and nothing could revive this dish. After all that salt my feet literally swelled up on the drive home but that's another issue. My poor hubby waited and waited while I ate and his burger never came. After 20 minutes he got mad and decided to pay - while paying his burger finally came out but he was too upset to eat so we just paid and left. Unfortunately I was not able to get a better experience on this visit read more
Great, laid back place to enjoy your brunch/dinner or drinks in ABQ Old Town area. I had a vegetarian tostadas there and it tasted good and refreshing and I would totally eat that again. Pluses are that the staff were also nice and friendly. I especially liked that they do work with local aninal tescue group tl host pets (kitten and puppy) yoga sessions on Sundays and finish that with a glass of mimosa and some food discounts. Great place to hang around for sure..with froends..or just enjoying your own company! read more

Great find just outside of Old Town Albuquerque. We dropped in during the Christmas season. I had the cubano, my husband had the green chile stew and we shared the flautas appetizer. I paired my sandwich with the Steel Bender Lloyds 3 o'clock Kolsch, my husband had a nut brown ale. All of it was delicious, but very spicy. So just beware. The French fries had a kick too, but we enjoyed them just the same! Definitely worth a visit. They have an extensive and interesting cocktail menu, great selection of beer (including some of our locals) and wine. We will go back! read more

Two Cranes is my staple, go-to, my "always craving their food" restaurant. Here are the highlights: consistently consistent good food and drinks, kind and attentive staff, atmosphere is warm- they always have a game on their many tv screens. Without fail, I order the steak and enchiladas (Xmas style, double papas) they are great about letting you alter your dish, which I love. The spicy Margarita is just that, very spicy and lip puckering fresh. I tried my first michelada here, I'm obsessed now. However, when I order one anywhere other Two Cranes, I'm met with disappoint. It's never the same or as yummy as TC's. The wings are 100x better than any chain restaurant, and their ranch is second to the holy classic that is Dion's ranch. This isn't a paid ad, I'm just obsessed with this place. read more
Oh my gosh and Amazing were the first words spoken by my husband after taking his first bite of the Prime Rib sandwich and I totally agree. And also noteworthy is how perfectly hot the meal was - it definitely added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. You are missing out if you don't try it. While I started with the Prime Rib sandwich, the sweet potato fries were also to die for. I wish I could take them home. FYI - home is KC. I got the Grilled Chicken Cesar and loved their twist on a normal salad. Our golden was drooling to get at his grilled chicken breast. This will be our new go to when traveling through Albuquerque. Maybe we will get to stay long enough to enjoy some of the other offerings. We sat on the patio and Max W was our server - knowledgeable, friendly, attentive. We are barely back on the road and my husband said we need to hurry up and plan another trip out this way so we can stop back in to Two Cranes Bistro & Bar. read more

Very cool spot with a patio you can bring your dogs to. I had the green chile pasta which was good but not as tasty as the prime rib sandwich. Out of both the regular and sweet potato fries I liked the regular ones best. Definitely will be back. read more

Some of my cousins, uncle, & aunt brought me here for my birthday dinner. Our server was hilarious and cute as a button. He was active in making sure we got what we needed, as more people showed up. Our bill ended up being gigantic, but my cousins and I were all drinking a bit, on top of getting our dinners. We got appetizers (pretzel bites, elote, and flautas) and drinks, and we left satisfied & tipsy. The server asked if I wanted a free dessert, and he recommended the crème brûlée. It was delightful! read more

Great wings, nice beer selection, yummy pretzel bits super service, awful parking, decent service, sports on TV and even with the live music (solo guitarist) we were still able to hold a conversation. Outdoor patio too. We just needed a little something after a day of driving into ABQ. This was close to our Air BnB and just what we needed. Not sure if I'd go back...we discovered the Taproom at Old Town later in the visit...but it was spot on for what we needed at the time. read more

Lunchtime and hungry - go figure. Stopped here, good timing. Not many people, seat yourself so that was easy. The bartender was our server and she came with water & menus. She returned quickly with our drinks. But by then we had lunch selected. Street Corn for appetizer, Philly Cheese Steak & Green Chile Chicken Pasta. The Street Corn came out both looking and tasting great, lots of Cojita Cheese, Cilantro, & Chile. Our meals also looked pretty good, the cheesesteak was stuffed with tender beef - easy to bite into. Not overloaded with cheese, but enough to enjoy. Nice take on an East coast staple. The Chicken Pasta was loaded with plenty of shredded chicken. Pretty much chicken in every bite. Nice flavor and the chile was enough to taste without becoming overwhelming. Our server checked on us frequently and without asking brought a box for the remainder of the chicken. Good lunch at an average price. read more

Came for taco Tuesday and enjoyed the tacos a lot. They have shrimp, chicken and carne asada tacos and they let you mix and match. I want to come back and try some of the other items on the menu. Someone near me ordered the Buffalo Chicken Strips and they looked so good!! read more
