Hash brown chilaquiles
Deni B.

DWTNR is a very charming spot to stop in for a brunch, with a nice inventive menu. I went with a group of 6 and we were seated quickly, and half of our group had our eyes drawn to the same thing on the menu: the hash brown chilaquiles! It looked incredible, so many of us went for it. I went halfsies with a friend and also shared the breakfast burrito. The hash brown chilaquiles was shockingly salty. Like incredibly, painfully salty. The whole table was in consensus. I'm not sure if we visited on an off day, but we couldn't figure it out. It seemed to be the carrot salsa that was the culprit, but it impacted the entire dish. In comparison, the breakfast burrito was much more enjoyable to eat. The service was good and the environment was pleasant to spend the morning.

Burger, French toast, breakfast burrito & side of fries

Great renovation! This spot feels like something from another state. Food was amazing. Hard to find a good burger in ABQ. Churro French toast was good with ice cream on top. & the breakfast burrito was very good, eggs were flavorful and not overcooked like everywhere else here. Tortilla tasted like one from Cali. Service lacked just a bit but staff were very friendly. Will definitely be back!

This is the Southwest Scramble! The hash brown stole the show for me.

Brunch at DWTNR was a total win! From the first sip to the last bite, everything was absolutely delicious -- and yes, the cocktails definitely deserve their own shoutout. Big bonus points to our server, Noah, who was amazing -- super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience feel easy and fun. If you're looking for a go-to brunch spot with great vibes, great drinks, and even better service, this is it. Already planning my next visit!

We were seated promptly and waited on promptly. My business associate got a green chili burger. I got tuna, tartare, and a wedge salad. Everything was prepared deliciously

Cute restaurant + patio bar spot inside the new ARRIVE Albuquerque hotel. I dropped in twice during my two-night stay. We ordered a salted coffee drink (made with cold brew) and worked on our laptops on the patio facing the pool. Our server was great, always checking in. Second visit, we dropped in again for some margarita mocktails and their fries dusted with red chilis. And we added a trio of dips: ranch, ketchup, and aioli. Aoili was my favorite.

A unique space. It's a good spot to meet up with friends occasionally or maybe a first afternoon date. A little pricey for the quality of food. Our service was slow and the restaurant wasn't busy.

I never visited the space when it was whatever it was before now. And all my time living in Albuquerque (about 10 years+) it has always just been abandoned hotel. They have done an absolutely gorgeous job with the room remodel and I cannot wait to see what this space will get used for. I came with some friends on Sunday to enjoy the patio and check out their brunch offerings. I'm writing this review and giving them a lot of slack because it is a brand new space and I know that they have kinks to work out. There are a few things including every single drink we were served was spilled and they absolutely are working on figuring out their coffee machine, but still overall I was impressed. Again, the remodel looks so good. I totally want to check out their stunning pool. The menu was creative and has kind of a unique feel to it. I would almost describe. It is like Asian inspired urban cowboy. We tried a few different things, including the chicken sando and a cocktail. Everything was really good. I did order a pistachio coffee and it was not great at all, but they were kind enough to take it off the check. I love a good brunch spot and I imagine this place is about to get pretty poppin. So pop off and welcome to downtown!

Good if you are staying at the restaurant but not if you are coming from outside. Drinks were good but the one I wanted they were out of and the appetizer we had to ask for more chips

Prickly pear margarita.

We stopped in during happy hour on our way home from a show this weekend. It was nice to find somewhere with happy hour specials on Sunday! We liked the bar's retro vibe. I had the cocktail special, a prickly pear margarita (very good) and my husband had the Desperado, made with rum and tepache (delicious). We split an order of chips and queso, which was made with green chiles and Velveeta. It was good, and the Velveeta fits with the retro theme, but I think it would be better with real cheese. They still have a few kinks to work out service-wise. It took a while for our server to get to us, they forgot to bring my husband's drink and then brought one he didn't order. But they served him the right thing quickly and comped us for the mistake. They were very friendly and helpful, and glitches are certainly understandable in a new space. We enjoyed our time at DWNTNR and will return.

The chips and queso

We came to check out the new bar. It was okay. The happy hour cocktail was a vodka gimlet. It tasted fine, but not sure I would order it again. We ordered the shishito peppers, they were good, I would have preferred them a little more blistered, but still good. We also ordered the queso and chips. Surprisingly they were not good. They use blue corns chips, which is great, but the queso was pretty bland. Also they served the queso and chips in a soup bowl. It was strange. The server was nice enough, but maybe new. The place looks cool. Lots of big tables for larger parties. Glad we came, but not sure we will be back.

Matcha coconut drink
Katy ..

This is a fun restaurant but it didn't wow me. They have a limited menu options. The drinks are strong so you really only need one. The slushee cocktail drink is so strong and not very sweet which is what I like and the size is very small. The match drink is creamy with coconut very different from what I drink. It was a little grainy but the presentation of it was cute. The green chilly burgers taste like an upscaled fast food burger. The service was nice as they let us in without a reservation and the drinks and food came fairly fast.

Smashburger + Fries and Breakfast Burrito

Had the BEST lunch with friends at the Downtowner inside the Arrive Hotel! I ordered the breakfast burrito (subbed bacon for avocado) smothered in red and green chile--aka Christmas--and WOW. The presentation was beautiful and the flavor was truly next level. We kicked things off with their Churro French Toast, and honestly it might be one of the most incredible breakfast appetizers I've ever had. Soft milk bread, cinnamon-sugar crunch, topped with vanilla ice cream... absolutely mind-blowing. Our server, Rose, was wonderful--warm, attentive, and on top of every detail. She kept the hot water coming for my tea and made sure we had everything we needed the entire meal. My friends ordered the smashburger with fries and the teriyaki chicken bowl, and everyone left full, happy, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend checking this spot out!

Hash brown Chilequilles
Sam H.

The waitress was attentive and friendly, engaging in pleasant small talk without being overbearing. We asked for drink recommendations and opted for the pineapple mimosa, which was strong yet delightful. For our meal, we tried the hash brown chilaquiles, which were quite delicious. The salsa had a unique flavor with a slight pickled taste, but all the elements combined beautifully. I will be back & will recommend to others.

I wish they had a better estimation system because it left us feeling underwhelmed. Being HANGRY with two young kids is not fun. The food: Kid's pancakes They were just okay. Nothing special. My 5 year old son ate the fruit (a piece of strawberry and a grape cut in halves) and bacon. Only a few of the pancakes were eaten. I tasted it myself and didn't care for it. Kid's waffles These were a winner!! The waffles were fluffy and yummy! We asked for fruit instead of the eggs since my daughter doesn't like eggs. I can confirm that these were legit waffles, because what kind of a parent would I be if I didn't do a food quality test? Crab cake benedict This was the highlight of the entire family order!! My husband is a super picky eater. With that said, this dish did not disappoint. Was it worth waiting 80 minutes for? Probably not. Would it have been worth waiting 40 minutes for? Absolutely! The eggs were cooked to perfection! The crab cake was plentiful and full of delicious flavor. The potatoes were the weak link on the plate. They could have used more seasoning. Bacon Avocado Scramble It was average without the green chili sauce. Once I added that delicious sauce, it saved the meal. I was already hungry and disgruntled from having to wait so long that my first bite without the sauce made me immediately regret sticking out the long wait. Once that sauce was added, it made me feel less jaded. The potatoes could have used more flavor. Unsweetened peach tea Great flavor! The peach didn't have an overly artificial taste. The tea strength was perfect. Coffee Excellent bold flavor. Not overpoweringly strong. Just right. The service: The service was good given how busy it was. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Refills were offered. Plates were cleared promptly. We didn't feel rushed. Overall experience: It was a good dining experience. It wasn't worth waiting 80 minutes. We would have picked a different restaurant if they had been more accurate and transparent about the wait time. I would say the food is slightly above average, but definitely not one of those places where people should waste an hour and a half of their day waiting for. If we are in the area again, we MIGHT give it another shot. Added note: The 4 seater table felt super crowded due to all of the items on the center of the table. There was a flower vase, a basket of sugars, a bowl of creamer, a bottle of salsa, salt and pepper shakers, a basket of jelly, and a little advertisement stand. With the pitcher of water and the coffee pot added to the mix, , it made it uncomfortable and claustrophobic.

It has a modern, bright, aesthetic vibe with marble-style tables, clean decor, and a great atmosphere to sit and hang out. Visually, it checks all the boxes for a trendy brunch spot. The staff were very kind and went out of their way to be helpful and attentive to all guests. Unfortunately, the food and value simply don't match the ambiance. We ordered two straightforward breakfast plates and iced coffees, and the bill came out to around $40--which feels way too expensive for what actually ends up on your plate. The first dish was a basic breakfast sandwich on an English muffin served with a small side ramekin of kale salad. While the presentation was neat, the sandwich itself was fairly standard and underwhelming for the price tag. The second plate was a traditional breakfast layout featuring scrambled eggs, toast, bacon, jam, and the same small kale side. The eggs were cooked fine and the bacon was crisp, but there was nothing unique or memorable about the flavors to justify charging high-end prices for staple breakfast ingredients.  All in all, while the aesthetic and atmosphere are definitely inviting, paying $40 for two plain breakfast plates leaves a sour taste. If you're looking for an impressive food experience to match the high price point, you might end up

The blue corn lemon pancakes were equally impressive, topped with the most amazing lemon curd, whipped cream, and fresh fruit. For our meal, we ordered two Chicken & Waffles plates, a Blue Corn Lavender Waffle, and a kids' plate. The Blue Corn Lavender Waffle was a unique touch and a fun way to try something distinctly New Mexican. Neither my wife nor I cared for the drip coffee, so we asked a staff member if we could swap it out for double espressos. They were happy to accommodate us, and the espresso was a significant improvement. The service was friendly, and the staff made a positive first impression from the phone call all the way through our visit. For our family, the total came to about $80, which felt a little steep. We ended up eating inside since the patio tables were either occupied or unavailable (due to a sleeping homeless person). The restaurant is housed in a renovated older home, and they've done a nice job making the most of the space. One of my favorite touches was the collection of retro waffle makers displayed along the walls, which added a fun, nostalgic charm to the atmosphere. The blue corn is just a tinge sweet so was an interesting mix. The waffle is a decent size but is super filling and dense. I'll have to try some sweet waffles or some different waffle bases next time! That said there are lots of gluten free options as well, so if that's for you, then don't hesitate to come check it out you won't be disappointed. There is indoor and outdoor seating, though in general the place is small-ish and can get crowded during busy times. Parking is also a bit of an adventure, but so is anywhere in that area.
